Good see the better quality fish making an appearance, it's a good venue. Eels seem to be making a comeback recently, and I had a few this year on worms intended for Perch. Next loch along was a very good venue for the char, where they were known to take it on the drop long before the feeder could get to the bottom. Not sure how it fishes these days, it's 20+ years since I fished it. Tight Lines guys, and thanks for another lovely video Douglas, certainly brightened up a very wet sunday morning!

Very nice fish. But why do you you release them? Here we consider catch and release to be cruelty to animals. We take them home and eat as long as its within the limits of what you can take and and the size of the fish of course.

Help Jan, to say that we don’t kill any fish would be hypocritical of me as we did keep 2 fish as a special end of season treat. As for catch and release, we mainly fish for the sport of fishing rather than as hunter gatherers. The fish has more chance of survival for the future if released, rather than being banged on the head and taken home. Thanks for commenting my friend👍

@@PiscatorUK-Fishing I believe we are more hunter gatherers up here in the artic than you are in England and Scotland. We hunt, fish and pick wild berries and preserve and freeze it. Our Municipality has a population of 20.000 and its the size of hallf of Switzerland. Endless mountain rangers, tundra and deep pine forests the strech far behind the horizon
