Great choice Erin. I'm a PU fanboy and I don't even live in a state where it is distributed! I made sure to book their SiB experience during my first trip to Kentucky and it did not disappoint. Best experience from my entire trip. Those guys know what they are doing and they couldn't be nicer. Cheers.
When you said "bundle," I know exactly where you stopped (in Lebanon, IL). Five years was spot on, as most of the components would have been between 4-6 years of age.
@stuffandwhiskey but, if you are tracking what you spent on the bottle or captured pricing when you received the bottle, then you have the price. Part of the game, if you don't know what the bottle is, would be to guess the price based on taste and experience. Erin needs a fighting chance of winning once in a while.
@@MangoSurferDude oh trust me, she's got plenty of chances. She just chose some layups the first couple of times around that gave me my lead. The epic collapse is coming. Keep in mind that pricing also isn't always tied to any particular level of quality, making it essentially impossible to guess blindly. I almost always say what I'd want to spend on a bottle in our videos as well, but guessing it as an actual concrete metric just doesn't make sense from any standpoint of fairness.
@stuffandwhiskey it was only a suggestion. I am not so sure a collapse is coming based on Erin's comment about the makeup of y'alls collection. It is fun to watch, but I do prefer your blinds and answering questions content. I find the blinds more valuable in my exploration of whiskey, be it Bourbon, Rye, single malt, etc.
One problem with the scoring is that question 1 and 4 are often too easy. It really comes down to proof, age and bottle/distillery, maybe add price within +/- 10% Finish should be a bonus point instead of full point.
It’s only easy when I get it correct. Guessing most of this stuff blindly is very difficult. Type is really the only halfway easy thing and you saw how difficult it was for me to zero in on that in this one.
Kinda dig the secondary grain idea! Wouldn’t have worked on this bottle since it’s a 4-grain blend and we don’t know the derived mashbill, but for a solid 90%+ of bottles it would work very well actually. Be fun and informative for folks to see just how difficult it is to call the secondary grain blind.
The distillery and bottle is a bonus point because 1) it’s almost impossible to guess, and 2) in many blended products like this, it’s not just one distillery in the blend. Of the four remaining primary categories, the only one I was off on was proof, which is why Erin insisted I take the win.
Hello, I’m a follower of your channel, I really like it, thanks for sharing ok the info. I concur with your taste on whiskey, at least with the ones you feature in your show that I’ve been lucky to try. There’s a drop at my local TW, which would you choose not minding price and which would you choose price continence. 26 bottles available Willet 8 Year Bourbon $329.99, 3 bottles available Michter's Single Barrel 10 Year Rye Whiskey $194.99, 6 bottles available WL Weller CYPD bourbon &68.99. Looking forward to your advice, Miguel
Of those choices, the Michter's 10 rye would be our top choice for the highest quality product for the money, although the Weller CYPB isn't a bad bottle at $70ish and is the value buy of the lot at MSRP. Cheers, thanks for watching, and good luck in the local drop!
You still get 5 points in my heart ❤
And your whiskey gets 5 stars in our hearts. Cheers y’all and thanks for putting out such good stuff!

Appreciate it!
Whiskey glass…nailed it.
These videos are super fun. Definitely keep them coming!!
I do like this format. Erin did good on the Pursuit United pick for you.
This is such a fun format. Please keep them coming.
Very good blends and using a lot of Columbia juice too!
We love TDG!
Nice content! I ordered my first Pursuit United DO rye a couple of days ago. Looking forward to trying it. Cheers
Appreciate the support! The DO rye is my favorite!
Love this new series. Keep'em coming!
"Got whiskey on my mind... I can never get enough... Every time I guess what I'm drinkin'... Erin's frustration goes up... And it stays there!"
😂😂 oh just wait until the next episode!
Love Pursuit!

Yep, Lebanon!
Like seeing another channels doing this series. Love this series from On The Barrel.
It’s fun to see the different takes on it. All credit to the Bourbon Junkies for the inspiration for our guesses. Love OTB’s Mystery Mondays!
@@stuffandwhiskey I forgot they used to do this lol.
Add price to the list of questions. Josh is bad at guessing prices.
Agreed
Would be a fun inclusion but it’s far too variable and ever-changing. We have to play with measurable metrics.

Go Team Erin!
If distillery is a bonus then I think Erin won! Bonus are worth extra points
I'm a fan of this content. I very much enjoy this.
It’s certainly a ton of fun!
That is a great bottle
Remember when the PGA was Tiger-proofing golf courses. You have to Josh-proof your whiskey choices.
Love it! 10 points for both of you :) our whiskey of a blend 4-6 years old so average of 5 would be correct :) appreciate ya
Boom! Appreciate the awesome whiskey and everything you guys have done for the community. Cheers Ryan!
A bourbon "villain"? Doesn't sound so bad.

WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
I think you need to add a category, like secondary grain, to make it possible to have a majority win. I vote Erin ...I mean WE...won today,

400 bottles? Amateurs! LOL just kidding. Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to you and to all.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Fantastic whiskey content aside, I also appreciate your lyrical knowledge. I always wondered what the rest of that line was🤔💯
Maybe you are not a villain, maybe you’re the Anti-Hero 😅
That’s the spirit!
Pour Guesses!
In our own way. A tribute to the vacuum left in the whiskeytube space by the boys.
You said it was a rye. All you got right was that it wasn't finished you lost today mister
I take it you didn’t watch the whole video?
@stuffandwhiskey yeah you change it to Bourbon when you saw what it was
@ incorrect sir
I concur wholeheartedly with Erin with respect to the difficulty level. Just saying …
We’ll send you a blind flight, join us on a livestream, and let’s have some fun and see how the score shakes out. Deal?
@ i’m new to it all, but I’m always up for a good spirited challenge ;)
If you guess two out of five is not a win? Just saying!! 🥃🥃🥃
2/5 is only 40%
