I agree with you regarding the taste of this pour. I like the widow Jane 10 year more than the 13.I just opened the Baby Jane pour. For me it's a great pour. Cost in our area for baby Jane is around $45.00.
We all work very hard for our money. Ty, for your honesty! I enjoy the Green River Wheated @ $35/bttl. Would love to find other great pours within the $40 range. Great job, as always!
I used to love that General Store at New Salem. It was always the highlight of our field trips. Growing up in Springfield, I used to visit it at least once a year.
One remark about the Dickel single barrel ... I've tried five of them, and purchased two. They come in a 40.5 ABV and 50.6, and in my opinion, the 101 version is much better. The proof is printed very small on the front label ... I have to squint to see it 😀
I've never felt comfortable enough to buy any one of these offerings from Widow Jane. To be honest, I really haven't heard many favorable reviews for their offerings. There are too many tried and true offerings available without any gambling! Great show as always! Cheers!
Do we have the right thing in the picture? The description says "a blend of straight bourbons" but the label from your picture says "Straight Bourbon Whiskey". A quick check on the Widow Jane web site shows a different label that leaves out the Straight Bourbon Whiskey and has a smaller "a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys". That means there could be more than one version of this.
Good question. A blend of straights is what we saw. Wonder if they updated labeling for more clarity. I couldn’t grabbed the wrong photo inadvertently as well.

Josh’s braces have transported him back to 14-years-old with his Dickel humor…no wait, he already had the humor of a 14-year-old 😂
100% truth. 😂
😂
The Jimmy Rusell 70th is so solid, $42 at a local grocery store, so worth it.
Best price we've heard of yet! Major score!
Nice review! Other than the Widow Jane Baby Jane all of the other offerings have that Dickel mineral flavor. Cheers!

Totally agree - I got the chance to visit Widow Jane in Brooklyn - interesting, but didn’t purchase anything…
I had a pour at a bar and I really enjoyed it, when I found one on the shelf though, I thought the price was a little steep.

Local store did a Widow Jane flight recently. The baby was my favorite and only one I would actually buy.
Widow Jane Decadence rocks
Thank you for your thoughts on Widow Jane. Saved me some money. Cheers 🎉🎉🎉
This has changed. I have a single barrel store pick from 2000 that is 99 proof from MGP, and while four years have passed, it was $85.
Mineral notes for sure Dickel
🍻 love your content!
Crazy just did a blind tasting with this one, and I thought it was a Dickle 15 year single barrel.
Great minds!?
Like you both said; too much good stuff at $50
Bro way to lean into the “whiskey nerd” label! 😀 I did NOT have braces on my whiskey nerd bingo card!
😂 😂
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎

I am no fan of the Widow Jane offerings. I have the 10 year and it's vastly overpriced.
