I got an offer at the interview but they said that HR would call me to discuss my pay etc and I haven’t got a call yet, they said if I don’t hear back by Monday to call the store manager. I was hoping to start as soon as possible but oh well either way I’m just happy to start working again bc the struggle has been REAL.

Do you have any tips on how to be more outgoing and being less shy so that when they do call back I feel less nervous?
Hey thanks so much for your comment!! To be honest, not every Starbucks barista comes in as an extrovert. I have a ton of coworkers who are not that talkative. However, I think you should be true to you and be honest. I would tell the manager, “I am not naturally extroverted but I am willing to grow and develop that skill during my time at this company.” I think they will appreciate the transparency! Also, it can get real crazy with covid going on so just give them a few more days then make a call if you feel comfortable!
Also, when you start working - here’s are some good conversation starters with customers: “do you always get this drink? My favorite is the _______”, “how is your day going?”, do you have any plans for the weekend? “ , “Any plans for the holiday?” Stuff like that! You’ll do great!

Don't try to answer with work experience, but life/volunteer experiences. So when they ask about past leadership experience and things like that, you can think about class group projects or volunteer experience where you took on that leadership role

I had my interview on monday and I think it went good. They sent me a background check to do and it been a couple of days, I havent heard from them since should I call back to them? Or just wait...
Hey!! I think the background check is a good sign! Also, it takes a few days for the background check to come back so I would say give it through the weekend then call! 😊

Hey! Don’t look at it as “bothering” them. It’s part of their job to hire new employees. Look at it as being proactive and persistent! Starbucks is a busy place so it’s likely they just haven’t had the time. I would definitely call the top two Starbucks you really want to work at! Good luck!!!

I was lucky enough to speak with the store manager and she said she was gonna call back to schedule an interview with but its been 2 days and i still haven’t heard anything byt she did warn me it woukd be hard to schedule one rn due to the holidays amd shes going on vacation but hopefully she calls soon because i really wanna work there!😩🙏🏽

I had a phone interview yesterday and she asked me a few questions and she told me when we were done that shes calling people around bc theyre gonna start doing in person interviews but she wasnt clear if she would call me back or not or when they'll start the interviews :(
