I was in labor for 36 hours and pushed for 3.5 hours with my first baby. It was the most horrible yet amazing experience. My son was born and wasn’t breathing right away scariest moment was seeing all these doctors and nurses run in. I didn’t get to have the skin to skin moment either and I hated it. I can totally relate my labor and delivery to yours! Thank god you guys are doing great🤍

I cried while seeing your labor, I had my baby on the 30 week and he was 2lbs, not breathing, I didn't had the chance to do skin to skin until one week after 😢 he was in the incubator for almost 2 months 😭 it was the most traumatic & sad time of my life.. I don't even remember when he was born because I was in shock everything was so fast.. I had been living in the hospital prior 3 weeks since my water had broken 😭 but God is so good 🙏🏼 I am so thankful my baby is home and so healthy and big with no complications at all 💖

I totally understand what you mean Laura. I lost my 1st son, he was stillborn. Even then I still had to deliver him an it was so hard. After him...i had a miscarriage a few months later an for awhile I had to give myself time to heal. In 2000 I gave birth to my son, he is now 20 years old an hes my everything!!!! All that pain an loss made it so worth it just to have my son with me now. I am so stingy of him. I cannot let him go but I know I will have to soon so he can build his own life. Children are a blessing ❤

Don’t let them induce you, if you are healthy and baby is healthy and not in danger. Its fine to be “past due” remember doctors only estimate your due date based on your last period. Your body knows what to do, and baby knows when to come.

C-section I refused was 20 days late. Finely had beautiful girl. Had tubes tied. One each enough. If had girl first never would have another. Thank God had 1 each grown have grandkids.

Laura you did amazing! You are a queen! I cried and got super teary-eyed during this video. It made me remember the day my little boy was born and at only 36 weeks. I had gone through a scary delivery as well and just the worry you feel and the concerns for your baby's health can cause so much stress and just want to get up and go help your baby. I went through the worry of his heart rate slowing down every time I had a contraction to finding out my umbelical cord was wrapped around his neck and tangled in it was his leg as well and also finding out and being shown the knot my umbelical cord had. The worst was not hearing my baby cry and doctors surrounding him giving him oxygen and just seeing the worry on my boyfriends face as he was watching the doctors. I was in shock I wanted to cry but I only managed to fill my eyes with tears that never fell. Never got to do skin to skin with him they only let me hold him all wrapped up for pictures and they took him away to NICU. I did not let my body rest at all for I just wanted to get up and go see my baby and make sure he was okay. It broke my heart to see an IV on him. He is my world and he is 3 months now and girl from being a premie he grew so fast. 😭 it's very scary when doctors start stressing out and getting you to push in a way that feels rushed because they know your baby needs to come out. You stayed strong momma and I am so proud of you and Dhar was amazing too. The support of your significant other is everything ❤ Ella Rose is Gorgeous and congratulations! I love you guys!!!!

I could imagine the pain your going through because I went it myself the same EXACT way. I’m so glad you and your baby are ok. I all remember was the sirens going off, a doctor jumping on top of me, another literally pulling out my almost 10 pound baby out because he was stuck and was getting oxygen and a room full of doctors. He took his breath around 3 min after the took him out. They took him to NICU because they had to take xrays just to make sure no bones were fractured and didn’t see him after 2 hrs. The moment I heard my baby cry was the best thing ever!!! This was almost 3 years ago and I could remember it like if it was yesterday 😭

I know everyone’s experience is is different, but this is what I wanted to hear. You guys, omg I cried during this entire video! I love watching the love that you guys have for eachother, and the way dhar takes care of you and prays over you! I know where all of your stress, pain, and emotion is coming from. I’ve had 3 scary deliveries. I’ve had preeclampsia with all 3, and it’s crazy when the doctors tell you that you have it because you probably have never even heard of it. In my first pregnancy, I developed preeclampsia around 22 weeks, and I too had to take a giant jug home and fill it up. The next morning after doing that I woke up with my hands swollen & slowly started getting swollen all over. I went back to the dr the next day, they sent me to the hospital and there my blood pressure kept going up. That same night they flew me to a hospital with an ICU & NICU. I stayed there for a couple of weeks then they let me go home to spend thanksgiving with my family and come back a couple of days later for a routine appointment. After that they kept me there, I quickly regressed. About a week later, I woke up and my whole face was so swollen that I could barely open my eyes, they took me downstairs for an ultrasound and the doctor came in and told me “we’re having a baby today, I can’t keep you pregnant anymore”. I was a single mom, by myself, at 19 years old. I was sooo scared but I knew that at least God would be with me. They sent me to labor and delivery, and began to induce me. My pain was horrible, I asked for the epidural and they came back telling me they couldn’t give it to me because my blood pressure was so high, and from the induction it caused my baby girls heart rate to drop super fast. They made me get on all fours to try to bring it back up but nothing was happening so they rushed me down for an emergency c-section. I remember lying there on the cold table, shivering and being so scared. It all happened so fast, they had to give me oxygen, I was throwing up on myself it was just horrible. And then finally they let my grandma come back with me, and she was the first to hold her. They put her up to my face then took her away. I didn’t see her for two days because I couldn’t walk and was in so much pain. She was born at 31 weeks, 2lbs 10oz. We stayed in the NICU for a whole month before we got to go home. It was the most depressing, traumatic thing I’ve ever had to go through I was so happy when we finally got to go home. Once we were home, a week later she passed away from SIDS.. she will forever be my angel baby, God holding her, watching over us. Two years later I got pregnant again, this time I began having signs of preeclampsia around 17-18 weeks, and I had to go see a specialist in a bigger city. My whole pregnancy I had to take blood pressure medication, I had to take my blood pressure every hour and finally I went in at 28 weeks & 5 days for an ultrasound. I had to much fluid, and so they sent me to L&D. I think from all my nerves is what made my blood pressure go up so I just had to keep telling myself to stay calm, and pray that we could just go home because I had already been through the worst, I didn’t want to go through it a second time. They were coming in and doing my finger prints, and I remember asking them if I was giving birth and they wouldn’t give me a straight answer. While there, they gave me medication after medication because my blood pressure would not go down, it was getting so high that I made her heart rate drop, they rushed me back immediately and did a c section. They put me to sleep for this one, and again I didn’t get to see her for two days. My little 28 week baby was born at 1lb 5oz, their daddy was there this time so he got to go to the NICU and see her. The dr in the NICU told him, “if I were you I wouldn’t get your hopes up because she might not make it”. I wanted to die. I know how you felt in that exact moment where you said “God if you’re going to take someone take me not her” that is exactly how I felt. Take me just please let my little baby make it. We had a long 79 days in the hospital. It sucks because I didn’t get to spend every single minute with her, I could go at anytime to go see her but I couldn’t hold her anytime I wanted, I couldn’t feed her every single time she was hungry, I couldn’t change her pamper when she was dirty, I couldn’t bathe her.. nothing. It’s crazy when your sitting by her incubator looking around the whole NICU and realizing you’re not the only one that is going through this. You are not alone, I had several people come and pray with me and over my babygirl. At one point she contracted an infection and they didn’t know where it came from, I remember hearing those bells go off and the doctors making us get out of the room and just seeing her tiny little 1 pound body turn purple, and just praying to God please don’t take my baby. It was a terrifying experience and I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody but here we are 4 years later and she’s a healthy beautiful little girl 💜 Two years later, I got pregnant again with a baby boy, and I did everything right I ate healthy exercised took all my vitamins did everything by the book because I could not put myself through that again. I had started going to a dr in a bigger city because I wanted to have a VBAC. That’s a vaginal birthday after cesarean. I was so lucky to have went 37 weeks with him, at 37 weeks I went in for a drs appt again and turned out I had contracted preeclampsia. They decided to deliver me that day, but told me that I couldn’t deliver vaginally because with my second daughter they had trouble getting her out during the c section, so I had a T shaped incision on the inside, and I had never known about this. I was so sad because all I wanted was a normal birth experience. But I was still just praying for a healthy baby boy. This delivery was different for me, because I actually walked to the OR and they gave me the spinal, I had to wait on the operating table, I got shivers, my fiance was with me and it was a better experience but still nerve wrecking. He’s the healthiest chunkiest baby boy, who just turned 1 year old. 💜 I pray everyday to protect them, and I pray to God that he will protect your family, and watch over you guys and Ella Rose 🧡🧡

Thank you for sharing your story. As a mother of 6 myself, each birth was a different experience. I had preeclampsia in my last 2 pregnancies so there's all this stuff you do before and during the labor to make sure everyone is safe and healthy. I'm so happy that things worked out in the end and I only hope that sharing your story will inspire more videos of what it's really like going through the experience of labor and delivery. Thank you and god bless you and your nee new family.

Ella is such a beautiful baby girl! I too had a similar experience with my son. He is now 13 years old 🥺 the Dr had to call code blue on him. Thankfully once the team entered the room my son let out his first cry ♥️ the dr said he was born clinically dead. He had the cord wrapped around his neck 3 times. I had never been so scared in my entire life, to this day I continue to thank God for saving my baby ♥️

My mom has told me I was blue when I was born, my shoulders got stuck, I’m sure if she was pregnant with me now they would have both done a lot of ultrasounds (because she said I never moved the whole 9 months) and probably do a cesarean because I was so big (9 pounds 3 ounces)

Ella is a blessing and God chose both of you to be her parents because he knew you guys have a lot of love to give and she will be love unconditional for the rest of her life. I love how you share your story, it's not scary for the mom who is expecting and those who are thinking about it because everyone experiences are different. The youtube videos are very informative but the way they edit some of the videos it's like 1,2,3 and the baby is here,so having your own experience and be able to share your story is amazing. I'm sure your video will help others to see that your 3+hrs of labor can be their 10 or 15mins so no need to be anxious. Thank you both so much for sharing, may God continue to bless you both as you continue your journey as parents, enjoy little Ella because kids grow up so fast and very soon she's off to college 😀 she's so cute,I wish they didn't have to grow up.
