Cool. I'm an amateur photographer. Just messing around with a 360° vr camera and a vr180 3D camera with both lenses facing the front. This video helped me understand the differences between both monopods with base and tripod that the legs go up high. Thanks for posting.
0:37 😭😭😭 "(...) Just extend one of the legs (...)" I feel sad you had to say it for me to realize it (after 2 or 3 hours of research for a monopod). Good video. Simple, concise, and with good information. Thank you
I lucked out and got that fluid tech monopod for cheap. I really wanted the base as a table tripod... But the whole thing is rather useful and a great addition to the I-Footage "Fastbowl" tripod... Anything that's "better" than those, I don't want to afford anyway, as that would eat into the lens budget :p
Thanks! The advantage of the monopod is that it takes up very little space. Great for small studios. And the MVMXPROA5 gets tall! That I often miss with traditional stands. But it is also easily tips over. The light bulb of the AD200 could easily get hurt. So if you can give the monopod some extra support, then it could work. If you have plenty of space, then maybe a more traditional c-stand would be a better option. Hope this helps!
@@frederikboving thanks, how long is the monopod itself when it is packed/collapsed and without the ballhead and base? I plan to carry it inside my backpack as carryon luggage.

Thanks for sharing! Glad you found a good solution! All the best!
I am thinking about using it for my GODOX AD200 PRO. Do you have any thought on that in terms of its stability? Great Vid.
Cheers!

@@frederikboving Thanks a lot for the prompt response.
@frederik how long is the manfrotto video 5 section aluminium monopod without its base?
I count 148cm including the ballhead.
