Thanks for the review. I like this style because the side layering keeps you from having a thick hank of hair right next to the face. For people like me with a small face, that keeps us from (a) getting swallowed up by the hair, and (b) getting hair in our mouths while eating. Win win. Love both colors on you. Thanks for showing how you cinched it in. I am true petite and half an inch smaller.
Hi Beautiful, I truly apologize for the late response. I had surgery two weeks ago and have been recuperating. Thank you so much! I love the grey as well! xoxo Marlene
Thank you Marlene for this review. I just saw on another of yours that youve worn it alot, so I researched it and got one in Stone Gray Rooted Large. Ive tried Tabu before, but it felt small on my big head, so Im hopeful this will work for me.
So lovely on you in both colors. I said on FB that I love this kind of uncomplicated style and in your review here, I can see how really simple the style is but, boy you can dress it up or down so nicely. Great review.
Hi Beautiful! Thank you for stopping by! Yes, I remember your comment. I just love everything about this style. Like you said, it's simple, but it can be dressed up or down. I've worn it with the headband, loose, and in a ponytail, and I've received so many compliments including an Uber driving pulling to the side to ask me where I had my hair done. The side swept bangs are flattering and the length is not too long, but it's long enough to style. xoxo Marlene
The colors look great on you. I would probably get light Bernstein rooted for myself since I am a natural strawberry blonde and would get a large cap which has less choices of color. If I could get an average cap I might get the Mocca Rooted.
I just purchased this in chocolate rooted and think the feel is amazing; however, I am struggling with the exaggerated swoop at the ends in front that another reviewer said her chlid called "elephant husks" -- which is how they appear to me in the profile view. Many of the product pix show the ends not curled up or under, but straighter and little more natural and appealing to me. You mentioned you were going to style the ends with a straighter look and I was wondering how successful you were... I have just a few days left (and can't apply or style if I choose to return it) before the 30 day return window closes....). LOVE your reviews; also, our dimensions are similar in some ways, and so they are even more helpful. Thanks so much
Hi, thank you for stopping by. I'm happy to know you enjoy my reviews. Yes, I straightened my Melody. I divided the fibers into small sections, spritz some water on the section and used a flat iron to straighten it (300 degrees). It took me about 10 minutes, and it's perfectly straight. Once heat is applied to straighten (or curled), the style remains even after washing. Just reapply heat to the ends after 5 or 6 wears or if the fibers seem a bit dry. I didn't care for the flips but love it straightened. I hope this helps. xoxo Marlene
Hi, BMT is 8 different tones of browns and blondes and a sprinkle of 60 which is white, but this color has no grey to speak of. Stone Grey Rooted is a blend of black, brown, and grays. xoxo
@@MarlenesWigChatStudio Marlene, thanks so much for getting back to me. I have a bunch of British milk teas however, I love the ellen Willy large based topper the fizz do you know what color would match British milk tea in any other brands pretty close
Hi Beautiful, I truly apologize for the late response. I had surgery two weeks ago and have been recuperating. Unfortunately, BT strives to have pretty exclusive colors not found in any other brand. In the case of BMT, they use a blend of 8 blondes and brunettes to achieve this unique color. I have yet to find any color that comes anywhere close. xoxo Marlene
Marlene, I know you say that that stone grey rooted has a dark root, can you maybe give me an idea of how dark using the standard numbers of 4,6,8,12 or if it is a Black root. Also, is it more of a brown/grey or salt and pepper grey? Thank you so much. 😊
Hi Gemma, Ellen Wille provides a color code but it doesn't include a code for the root. I'm going to guess it's an 8. I don't think it's black but it's not a 12 either. I think the darkest it is a 6 and the lightest would be an 8. The color is Grey blended with Black/Dark Brown and Lightest Blonde/ I hope this helps. xoxo Marlene
Hi Brenda, yes, I have Elle in 39F38. I believe any wig can be cut shorter. Personally, I wouldn't do it myself because I don't know how and that hair is not going to grow out; however, if you know how or have a wig stylist that can do it, I don't see why it couldn't be cut. xoxo Marlene
I definitely wouldn’t try it myself. I was just wondering if a beautician. Could cut it the place I bought it from took the John. renau name out and didn’t even give me anything! She said it was not heat resistant not to go buy an oven and I couldn’t use any styling stuff on it
You'll have to ask some stylists. Some are willing to work on wigs, but not all of them do. They are correct. You can't use heat on Elle such as a flat iron or curling iron, but you can use products such as wig hair spray, shampoo, conditioner etc. You can also use steam or a hot air brush with silicone or plastic barrel. Watch some videos first. Eileen, CrazyWigLady has videos on how to steam and how to use a hot air brush. xoxo Marlene
As a 77 year old woman, that beautiful stone grey color is the holy grail of wig colors for me
Thank you so much for visiting! I agree! Stone Grey Rooted is a gorgeous color! xoxo Marlene
Melody is beautiful on you! Stone Grey Rooted is stunning😎
Love this wig on you especially in the color Stone Gray.
I love this style so much in both colors!! Thanks so much for showing these to us!
I love both on you and I’m partial to the Dark Auburn Rooted. Lovely!

Marlene the gray was really beautiful on you! Really striking!❤❤

Sending healing prayers sweet lady!❤❤

I'm really excited about the Melody wig in Stone Grey Rooted in size large. Hope I can find it on clearance somewhere. Yay!
I thought it was great they launched it in large! I wish they did that with all their styles. Keep me posted if you find it! xoxo Marlene

Both are beautiful in you. I wish it was available in a non rooted grey.
Hi Sheila, thank you for stopping by and the lovely compliment. Melody is available in the non-rooted color called Snow Mix. xoxo Marlene
Gorgeous color, is this pretty close to Bell Tress British Tea? That’s my favorite color

I wish these beautiful colors didn't have such dark roots, since I am fair, but love them both on you!
Hi Mary, thank you so much and thank you for visiting! Take a look at Snow Mix. I don't believe it has a root. xoxo Marlene

Do you know the John Renau Elle wig color 39F38 can it be cut shorter
After seeing that wig on you, I bought it but now I realize I think it’s a little bit too long and I was wondering if these wigs could be cut
