- Join me for a walk around the historic heart of Battle, one of the most delightful countryside towns in Sussex, and famous as the site of the legendary Battle of Hastings in 1066!
On our walk around Battle, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Battle Market Square, Battle Bandstand, The Almonry Garden, Battle Library, 1066 Roundabout Sculpture, Battle High Street, Battle Heritage Museum, Battle Guildhall, Mount Street, Ye Olde Kings Head, Forge Cottage, Old Ladies Court, Friar House, The Bull Inn, Newbery Preserves (Abbey Court), Battle Abbey, Abbey Green, Pilgrims' Rest, Battle Bonfire Site, Battle Bull Ring, Church of St. Mary the Virgin, The Abbot's Cottage, The Chequers and the High Weald of Sussex.
