My Tunisian girlfriend's father initially liked me me because of my Irish heritage. Reason being that when he worked in the Gulf back in the 90s he made friends, and had a lot of good times with some guys who were from Ireland. They made a good first impression for me.

My friend had a decent relationship with an Arab girl once upon a time and wanted to marry her. She just dropped him suddenly after many months since she was afraid of her father and society's plans for her (based on status, nationality, profession)(By the way he was a revert to Islam by choice since childhood, was ready for marriage, a good man, own international business, good character, etc....I would say a good man for marriage). Its been many years and he seems to have not recovered yet.

For example, if an Egyptian woman, a Syrian woman, and a Saudi woman were standing next to each other wearing the same outfit would you be able to tell what type of Arab woman each one of them is? Also what type of Arab woman are you?
they didn't have much chemistry though, they didn't quite match, my personal favorite (though I don't watch many Turkish Serials) is Fatmagul and Karim, or Ertugrul and Halime Sultan.
I am a Filipino married to an Egyptian woman. You’re right about being stubborn lolol(which I’m really glad in my case). When my wife and I first started “dating,” she fought her parents hard and argued about how she doesn’t wanna be with an Egyptian man like they want. She was gonna get her way whether they like it or not. Long story short, her parents(and family) accepted me, welcomed me into the family, and we’re celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary in a month and have been blessed with 2 beautiful babies:)

It depend by country. For example in my country Tunisia ( a North African arab country) it's normal for young people to date
We don’t date like dating in western culture, they meet, call, text and keep in touch. Usually, the guy takes the first step and start communicating, asking about his girl and gradually he tells her that he’s in love with her and proposes. She tells her mother, her mother tells the father, the father does his investigation about the guy, like what he works, is his friends and companions are good. If the father approves him, the girl tells him and he sends his family to arrange engagement and wedding. I am Palestinian this is how it works in my community, I don’t know about the rest of Arab countries, but we’re mostly the same. The father approval is the most important, if daddy says NO, then it’s no, the girl can push but if the father thinks that the guy takes drugs for example or drinks alcohol, or have a bad reputation with girls, then it’s NO!

I have a Mexican friend and he’s just got married to an Arab woman.
At first he told me that her family didn’t accept him because he wasn’t Arab.
She didn’t want to get married to an Arab guy because she would say that their boring. She loved him ALOT, so much she left her parents home and they both got an apartment.
They got married, have their own place and now they’re about to have their first child.
Her parents are understanding now, and they now accepted him into their family.
Is she a Muslim? So did he convert to Islam?

As an Arab women I can say that we are like any other women in the world,
the only difference b/w south-east asian women(and other people in general)and women from other races is their skin color/features and culture other than they're indeed just like any other women, but people cant stop with 'em stereotypes and start generalizing the entirety of a race to one personality when there is no such thing as that everyone has a different personality, it depends on that person, not the culture/country they come from. __
