Feels like Batman Υear One. - Good Batman characterization (angrier, grittier without making him a blood thirsty monster) - Alfred puns Overall: If you're a Batman fan you've already bought this.
True that bro! I personally liked this game more than Knight, thought knight was very disappointing but knight was still good. If the other 3 games didn't exist, people would call origins the best superhero game ever!
I'm glad someone else shares the same opinion as I do regarding this game. I thought it was amazing and felt very disappointed with arkham knight especially when you finally face deathstroke and it's another tank fight
I love Batman's suit in this. The story of Black Mask putting a bounty on Batman's head with 8 world class assassins would really make Batman a legend. Hope Ben Affleck uses this in the Batman movie.
hotneo7 His movie's rumored to be inspired by Arkham Origins. Deathstroke's already in it, and Black Mask's rumored to be in it too. Put in Killer Croc and Deadshot and it'll make more of an homage
TheTechnobaseFAN True, it's a shame that Riddler was the only good and *real* Boss fight in the game, because it wasn't even that good. It was o.k. In my book, definitely beats the lame deathstroke one.
10 years ago I was 10 and I remember playing this for the first time on my PS3. First thing I did was redeem the Deathstroke and Knightfall skin DLC codes. Nostalgia all around. I got the game on Christmas and played it through to New Years. The Christmas setting was perfect, and the snow, and the festive soundtrack. Good times indeed.
***** LMFAO! RIGHT?! God DAYUMN! No but really Death Stroke was a joke. Super easy boss and repetitive combat. +Sole Survivor (dragonland26) It had the best story and the best boss fights IMO. Plus, as you said, the Christmas effect just gives the game something special.
I really liked that the story in origins was much darker than the first two games. Kind of like how Batman Begins was much more dark compared to the batman movies before it, since they never focused on bruce so much, unlike origins and begins.
+Diego Huerta he didn't really go and find him he did what firefly did and waited for him to come to him by putting himself in a situation which he knew batman would come bane knew batman was coming for joker and fire fly knew he would try to disarm the bombs
+Diego Huerta what about Firefly? He had him trapped and surrounded by fire on a bridge that was kinda collapsing with no way for him to get to the last bomb! That doesn't count as coming close?
This game looks so good! Way better than asylum (talking about gameplay and story) and had better graphics.. Shame it's so underrated.. Shame it didn't come with the return to arkham I bought yesterday..
I fucking loved this game. (You get what I mean) and be filled with life, have a several cars drive by, have civilians walk on the snowy streets of Gotham. Even unlock the area that is behind the prison walls in AC. WB pushed Wayne ent even further back. (Which was as annoying as hell) I want all of Gotham to glide around in. (NOT overly populated, like the Spider-Man games) more Christmas lights. (Everyone likes colourful glowy thingy's) have a couple police helicopters fly around the city, maybe have them tie into random crimes. More snow - but NOT snowing. WB's only problem was that they copied Arkham City too much. Oh and... XD *COMBAT* The combat in this game was exactly the same, if they had actually added new features into the game. One of them should of been the floor board take down in the Official Trailer.
RockLegend2onGaia I believe they said they didn't want Batman to feel downgraded because it was earlier in his career. So it's not really "Justified" I only just got your comment, da fuck?
FuckYouSantaClaus They said that? Why the hell wouldn't he be downgraded early on in his career? It just kinda urks me that he has the capabilities to recreate entire virtual crime scenes in this game, yet not in AA. Does WB just think that Batman downgrades his equipment every few years or something?
Edward Shelly They just didn't want people to feel downgraded since it's the latest game. It would be quite annoying if they had downgraded him or they could him some fresh tech that is better than the new tech in Arkham City in some cases but in others it's not as useful. The Remote Claw is a good example. *LINE LAUNCHER* - You can hold down LT or Right Mouse Button to slow down and change directions. - Advantage. *REMOTE CLAW* - Can create a line in more than one direction or attach objects to enemies but can't use the change direction function while in use. I think if they take away the use for being able to tie up enemies then it only being able to use it once on an enemy it would be better and not as OP.
FuckYouSantaClaus I personally found the remote claw more interesting and fun. It wasn't as good in a lot of ways, but nothing beats when I use it to hook a thug up to a gargoyle from afar.

I understand where you're coming from but the developers probably did this for gameplay reasons so it wouldn't hinder the player's experience. In my personal opinion, Batman: Arkham Origins is a great game and to a certain extent it's an improvement to Batman: Arkham City.
Amrit Singh Much of the gameplay aspects were improved, the following which are: -freeflow combat -predator stealth -more and different enemy types -more engaging boss battles -better looking cinematic cutscenes -and etc
Yeah, agreed. Bosses are such an important part of games, yet many times they aren't done well (or could be done better). It's great when they are done right.
I read somewhere that Troy Baker, the voice of Joker, aimed for a Mark Hamill-ish voice, while also going for a younger sounding voice to fit with a younger Joker. I think he nailed it, personally.
Yeah, I don't mind them seeking a younger voice in this game. He does a passable impression of Conroy's batman from back in the 90's (so much so that I didn't realize it wasn't Conroy until half way through the trailer), and having that younger voice sets the tone for a buildup story quite well.
To anyone who is interested DC did release a set of comics that take place in the "Arkham City Universe" (which isn't part of the "New 52" U). Which is fine, this is just another Batman in another 'Verse. DC has quite a few, like you see "Earth-1" Batman skin? That one is trained by Alfred, who is an ex-MI6 agent, you get Batman INC which is the only book to survive DC's switch to the "New 52" But they released a post-"City" comic that deals with Batman's PTSD and physical deterioration from-
one of the most popular hereo and one of the best combat system was served to WB on a silver platter, they just have to make a good story and minor adjustments to the gameplay, couple of new enemies, couple of new gadgets, couple of new animations also they improved a lot on the detective mode, now you can virtualy reconstruct crime scenes also:knife-fight with against the Joker?instant buy
The fighting style it's outstaind; i still see some keysi but they added some great stuff. Loved the silat technique when bats fighting against Joker's knife
So far I'm impressed. Roger Craig Smith & Troy Baker sound alot like Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill, plus Ron Perlman is voicing Deathstroke. Gameplay wise it looks identical to Arkham City & Asylum with some tweaks. Gonna be the best one yet.
When I picked up this game, I was very excited. However, I ended up returning it solely because of the Deathstroke fight. He is one of my all time favorite villains, and was extremely disappointed with how that played out. I was very hyped up and really let down by it. What a shame.
Ehhh guess you're just better than me at it then, I played on hard mode and beat Deathstroke almost no problem, but when I restarted the game on the other mode, I got my ass whooped five times before winning.
As a distraction, and so they'll try to get water and try washing it out, and you could take em off one by one each time, also if you threw one at them they could do something like stop, drop, roll and run. And im pretty good at arkham city, shields and tazers just get in the way of combos. Especially shields
Or if you "accidentally" crashed into him in the Bat Wing, which adds comedy relief to the story, like you find out an assassin's location, you're almost there then BAM (no action effect pun intended).
In the fourth episode to this gaming series Black Mask is planned to be the the main villain. So this is a prequel explaining why this is what is going to happen. Black Mask is one of my favorite characters so I'm psyched :)
They aren't using the originals because Mark Hamill retired and they wanted a younger sounding person for Batman. Kevin Conroy (the original voice of Batman) is going to be in another Arkham game that, if I remember correctly, will be released next year on the next gen consoles.
This game is so underrated! It's the underdog of the Arkham Series
Deathstroke I kinda do
"I am the reason criminals breath easier when the sun rises" I love that line! Chills

In my personal opinion, Batman: Arkham Origins is a great game and to a certain extent it's an improvement to Batman: Arkham City.
TRENEX 379 how was arkham origin an improvement
Just asking
Amrit Singh
Much of the gameplay aspects were improved, the following which are:
-freeflow combat
-predator stealth
-more and different enemy types
-more engaging boss battles
-better looking cinematic cutscenes
-and etc
This is on the top of my video-game section of my Christmas list.
Yeah, agreed. Bosses are such an important part of games, yet many times they aren't done well (or could be done better). It's great when they are done right.
Best batman game ever
not the best but it's a great game
Well that was my opinion
+Starhawk 79 I know it was I didn't say it was bad some people would of
Thanks
+Starhawk 79 your welcome get arkham origins on the phone to its awesome
I read somewhere that Troy Baker, the voice of Joker, aimed for a Mark Hamill-ish voice, while also going for a younger sounding voice to fit with a younger Joker. I think he nailed it, personally.
whoever creates these 3d models for the foes, he deserves a medal
Best Batman game I’ve ever played 😅
Arkham Knight should learn how the boss battles is done
This game has some really great original dialogues. I LOVE IT!
This video was released 5 years ago and i still love it
“Who said anything about running?”
Same with Troy Baker as Joker. I love both the old and new voices for both Batman and Joker
Holy shit, this was 6 years ago...
wow, it's so cool to see you outside your channel
Yeah, I don't mind them seeking a younger voice in this game. He does a passable impression of Conroy's batman from back in the 90's (so much so that I didn't realize it wasn't Conroy until half way through the trailer), and having that younger voice sets the tone for a buildup story quite well.
so underrated the more i played this game the more i began to love it.
To anyone who is interested DC did release a set of comics that take place in the "Arkham City Universe" (which isn't part of the "New 52" U). Which is fine, this is just another Batman in another 'Verse. DC has quite a few, like you see "Earth-1" Batman skin? That one is trained by Alfred, who is an ex-MI6 agent, you get Batman INC which is the only book to survive DC's switch to the "New 52"
But they released a post-"City" comic that deals with Batman's PTSD and physical deterioration from-
I love Deathstroke his fight was so fun!
Its all about Gotham's Reckoning theme at 0:12! Best trailer I've seen for this game yet!
one of the most popular hereo and one of the best combat system was served to WB on a silver platter, they just have to make a good story and minor adjustments to the gameplay, couple of new enemies, couple of new gadgets, couple of new animations
also they improved a lot on the detective mode, now you can virtualy reconstruct crime scenes
also:knife-fight with against the Joker?instant buy
The fighting style it's outstaind; i still see some keysi but they added some great stuff. Loved the silat technique when bats fighting against Joker's knife
can´t believe that this game is 10 years old now.
What a shame.
that fight was the hardest in the game
Tafan Goodman So true.
Have you played the game on its "I'm The Knight" mode or something like that? If not, Deathstroke is actually very hard on that mode.
Ehhh guess you're just better than me at it then, I played on hard mode and beat Deathstroke almost no problem, but when I restarted the game on the other mode, I got my ass whooped five times before winning.
***** You try it on "I'm the Knight" mode?
As a distraction, and so they'll try to get water and try washing it out, and you could take em off one by one each time, also if you threw one at them they could do something like stop, drop, roll and run. And im pretty good at arkham city, shields and tazers just get in the way of combos. Especially shields
The Arkham game with the best boss battles and music
That's awesome! I really do hope they do a good job of it. Great boss fight mechanics + great boss characters = awesomeness.
"Your a young man with a trust fund and too much anger".
I like how batman was stubborn even in a young age. I love this. I cant wait for it to come out.
Despite missing Hamill, I must say Baker does an excellent job as the Joker; he sounds amazing!
They aren't using the originals because Mark Hamill retired and they wanted a younger sounding person for Batman. Kevin Conroy (the original voice of Batman) is going to be in another Arkham game that, if I remember correctly, will be released next year on the next gen consoles.
Guy nails everything :) Booker DeWitt in Bioshock, Joel in the Last of Us and Ocelot in MGS5 :)
The guy who voices Batman is Roger Craig Smith, he also the present voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog
There are regular Martial Artists... but luckily they don't teleport, they just counter you etc.
when I watch this
it makes me want october 25th to come even faster
Ahh right, I remember that video on this channel :) Thanks!
Damn I love his bat suit it looks like the dark knight suit but bulkier and with a different batman symbol on his chest of course
