I'm so happy you started with an introduction. And it's great to see Bob! I've wanted to suggest you start with telling everyone who you are for a while now. I gotta admit, I also miss the hand held sign with all the social media. It was charming 🤣
Nice to see Bob pop in on video even for a few seconds! This is a great video for everyone!! I'm a senior so I'm watching what Brad does. :) Thanks Bob, Brad, and Mike.
Great video, thank you! I was just discharged from physical therapy to continue at home on my own. I really appreciate the standing options or beginner options that work for where I am in my ability level right now.
Bob's smile always makes me so happy, it's the best *EVER*!! Totally infectious and wonderful......... thanks also to those other two guys in the video (Ha!), they pretty special, too..........
I used to be a hip hop dancer for most of my life until I ended up with a severe rare form of MS. I can't do squats my knees are so bad because of all of that and having Ms that yeah no squats for me. However I do make sure I do at least 15,000 steps a day I do a couple miles in the morning a couple miles in the afternoon and do the few miles in the evening. Exercise creates endorphins and it actually genuinely makes you happy so I highly recommend you guys to exercise and listen to Bob and Brad because they're absolutely amazing. I actually I told my doctor about you guys because I couldn't find a good ortho doctor that would help me at all so my primary went on a limb and there's this one orthopedic woman who's really a podiatrist but they have her under orthopedic that she handles foot and ankle now I have bad plantar fasciitis. Like it's really severe. I am so grateful for your guys video because that's what saved my feet.like the pain I endured was so damn severe I couldn't take it so I listen to what Brad said and use a tennis ball and then eventually graduate to a golf ball and massage that muscles on your feet and that took away like 80% of my pain but when I saw her she's like girl your feet and ankles are really swollen the right foot is getting beaten up because the left foot can't handle it and it's compensating. So she gave me night splints and she said to keep doing the exercises that I saw on the internet she's like they're amazing if they're helping you that dramatically keep doing them. So everything I've done of yours cuz I have seven autoimmune diseases it has really helped me so I'm very grateful for this channel I'm grateful for Bob and Brad because they're just amazing. I need to get one more night splint for my left foot which I'll do eventually. But if you guys think oh this is BS blah blah blah it's not real no listen to them because I promise you on anything and I would never push a doctor or anybody on anybody they are amazing they have made my life so much better when I'm in a lot less pain and I have more fun memories with my kids
@@HeatherBDentureDiVa I knew a woman who had MS. I'm glad you are doing better. I also have autoimmune issues and issues from injuries. I've gotten a lot of relief adding alternative therapeutics. I have reduced some of my medicines. I do talk about things with my doctors. I recently came across Clint Ober in an interview. Check out interviews with him on RUclips and look for his documentary The Earthing Movie. He also has a book that includes references to scientific studies. He specifically mentions helping people with MS. Just sharing as an FYI. Hope you have continued success with quality of life 🙂
It was nice to see Bob! I can keep up with Mike for everything but the lunges. When I first started following you, I had just torn my meniscus, and was not in the best of shape. That was back in January, and now I'm pretty much back to the shape I was in ten years ago. I'm 63, and am so grateful that I can start jogging again. Thank you, Bob, Brad, Mike, and the gang! Your advice and exercises are truly beneficial.
You are wonderful. You are the first video I encounter which has a beginner's version of the exercise. Get me into the exercise. A few months later, or a year later, I will graduate to the more advanced version.
You guys are amazing! I have been telling my PCP for years I would like to know what exercises I should be doing to maintain my body strength and flexibility. You are becoming my new favorite RUclips channel! As I push 70 yrs young I want my golden years to really be golden not bedridden. Thank you!
The hip exercises are so important for mobility when walking or running! Thank you for showing these and for mentioning that they should not cause pain!!!! I have an arthritic right shoulder so don’t do side planks without being in a kickstand position!!!! Love you guys!!! Love to see Bobs smiling face❤️❤️❤️
I just had anterior hip replacement on my left hip, at the end of July. I'm getting my right one done in December. These exercises have been paramount in my recovery. I'd love to see a follow up video with even more options. Especially for those of us that have both our hips replaced within months of each other. You guys are great!!!
I'm in my mid 40s and live a very sedentary life. Recently, my flexibility, especially in my hips, has tanked! I've started doing short in home routines and I think it's helping. I really love the hip and glute exercises! I'm working up to doing a regular push-up. It's slow going but I'm making progress!
Hey! Loved this episode because these are real exercises Even Runners Have to Do! I recovered from runner's hip and these are what i use for maintenance. Thanks guys! ❤
I teach pilates reformer. I incorporate many of these movements in each group class or private lesson. They are good for balance and functional strength.
👍. A push-up version that I like - doorway push-ups. I used these as a big part of my shoulder rehab after surgery. I started with wall push-ups and progressed to doorway pushups.
Thank you!! As i finish up PT for a high hamstring tendonopathy and am able to move, I was looking for some fitness exercises to work on balance and posture. Yes, more chair exercises, please.
Good video guys, as always. Have gradually been heading towards doing these exercises regularly, good to see them as a sequence, will inspire me to keep going.
Ye make me laugh! 😂😂😂 new subscriber for that alone! All great exercises. Favourites are the plank & hip abductions. I find bear planks a great modification if you have knee or low back pain and you can also do them as a progression for the bird-dog (McGill) or lateral bear crawl. A trick I use for the hip abductions to stop the leg moving out/into wrong position is to do them with backside against a wall for both side lying & standing with a cloth behind my heel (silky=easier; textured=harder). Also if you don't have or forget push up grips, I like to grip the sides of the seat of a chair🪑 so it's in neutral grip. Or roll up a towel or fluffy socks to place under the palms. Also works for straight arm planks.
@@BobandBradgreat content as always. Question: What shoes are Brad and Mike both wearing? They look like they have wide toe boxes with a zero drop and am looking for recommendations. Thank you.
You all are amazing as usual. Am I seeing that you guys are wearing barefoot shoes? Maybe Vivio and/or Xero? I only ask because I had worn them, ran in them, everything for 7 years. My Achilles tendon got severely flared (not from the shoes) so I had to go back to heeled shoes for awhile but it's healed up and ready to get back into my barefoot shoes.
@ Any chance you could give the width and length dimensions? I will be having knee replacement in Jan and currently do my exercises on the floor using a pad. To get up I end up on my knees which won’t work after surgery. I will be buying one soon.
My kegs get spastic and off doing the kneeling exercise. my walking is way off now. Would tethered cord. cause this or SI laxity? I did not wear an SI belt
@@BobandBrad Thanks for doing this! Both my husband and I have very arthritic shoulders plus other shoulder issues so learning how to do exercises that won’t aggravate them would be greatly appreciated.
I had a caudal injection and woke up the next day with a numb leg and excruciating pain. Today, the pain is managed, but my leg is very, very weak, and now I'm on a cane, sometimes a walker. Can I get the feeling back in my leg with these exercises?
@LandonStrauss-hc1sc I have since seen Dr's & and specialists. It was not my first choice, but I had to get it done: I needed another injection to relieve the pain (nerve block). After a few days that excruciating pain went away. After a few weeks, I got the feeling back in my leg, but a pain & weakness in my thigh remains (a muscle spasm off and on but always). I'm in PT, but I have a fresh out of school PT with not a lot of experience.
Actually the pelvic floor it's amazing to do the pelvic exercise because I have really bad colored floor I've had two kids I'm 38 years old add magnesium deficient so it hurts really bad sometimes and those pelvic thrusts really do strengthen it

Pushups!
Thank you... let's see if I can do one a day.
👋Hi Bob!
Hello! Thanks for watching!
Would love to learn some exercises for people with osteoporosis.
MANY TO MOST OF THESE I DO , ALTHOUGH I DO THEM IN THE POOL WHERE THEY WORK EVEN MORE EFFECTIVELY.
Can I do the bridges with a hip replacement
Yes :)

If you have hiking sticks, those can be helpful for doing lunges as well. I got some at costco.

We have had this table forever so we don't remember the brand, sorry!!

Thank you for this! How often should we be doing these 8? Just add them to our regular exercise routine?
Cannot find my cable for my Bob & Brad Massage Gun. May I order one from you?
How many times a week should one do these exercises? Or should they be done daily?
I like Mike's shoes....
Good video, but knee placement for lunges and squats AND how often every day.
Love the pointer dog how about dead bug?
Are these body weight exercises good for buikding/maintaining bone density? Thanks!
How many sets of each and how often should I do there eight exercises?
You can do 3 reps of 12 and you can do them every other day! Best of luck!
How do you do some of these exercises with severely arthritic shoulders.
I will add this to our to do list
