Poor Mosley, he was so very proud of his fellow workers, and yet they were all so stuck up as to hardly acknowledge him. The Queen showed excellent manners!
Not really. She should have thanked the staff after the banquet.
Exactly what’s the big deal…Countess response was disappointing
@@TheBeliever1204Mrs Hughes said that they’d sent down their compliments
It is in my understanding that when concerning with the Royal Family, It is protocol only to Answer when spoken to. Mosley in this instance not only answer and remark , he corrected the King. Everyone was shocked. Poor Mosley..

McGonagall and Umbridge still going at it. Just in a different time and in a different life. 😂😂
Right, I forgot that scene in Order of Phoenix…don’t blame me, my son was born in ‘97 and was 4 when he saw The Sorcerer’s Stone.
@@marinazagrai1623i was 4 when the sorcerer's stone was read to me. What a coincidence
@@andreagrussu6778 My son was gifted when he was young (he still is 😏); I needed new books and he ran out of all science books, so when I found the first 4 books at a book club for only $1 with membership (why not?). Also, Umbridge is the open-minded one while McGonagall is absolutely disgusting.
Let me fix the title "McGonagall Calls Umbridge Insane at the Royal Dinner"
Completely agree
@@jessicahsu5291 So that's what she wanted to tell her that unfaithful day at Hogwarts. Makes sense to me TBH!
I bet when they told mcgonegal to say these lines to umbridge. She was like. I got this.
Love this!! 🥰😂❤️
Because Umbridge wants to make Riley Blue her heir.
Aww Mr. Molsely- such a story going from a Butler/Valent to mending roads, to footman, to teacher, to schoolmaster and then screenwriter. His bumbling took an all time high in curtseying to the queen.
half the cast has been in a Harry Potter movie and the other half has been on Doctor Who.
Maggie Smith really got into it when she called Maud insane, she's probably remembering what it was like when Imelda played Umbridge xD

@@jesseleeward2359 Downton Abbey as a period drama has to keep pace with the times for which it portrays. We're talking about 1927, not 2017. Though sadly not enough has changed in the minds of society within the past century.

I LOVE the clock ticking sound while Mr. Molesley curtsies 😂
I feel more happy to see the guys dancing "illegally" than seeing these fancy dressed people reacting awkward to hear Mosley expressing proud of DT staff, poor Mosley feeling so afraid in front of these cold faces

4:05 - This moment of silence reminds me of the 2011 Comic Relief spoof of Downton Abbey, you should watch it, when the entire family froze in utter silent disgust when one of them called the drawing room a "lounge". This has the same feel - all atmosphere sucked out of the room. Loved it.

Lady Violet reminds me a lot of my own Grandmother. Only, while the Dowager _is_ a noblewoman who lived a privileged life full of court intrigue, that’s merely how my grandmother wished to be.

Royal Lesson when Klepto Queen Mary comes a calling : Hide the good jewelry!
I've heard that as well, she was infamously light fingered.
She also just outright asked for things.. When she made a comment about how nice something was.. it was a cue to give it to her. It was so bad that at one Royal's residence, that before her arrival, they moved all the furniture to another part of the manor, and brought out the older, less glitzy furnishings and made the place somewhat drab. That caught on with other people as well that the Queen became a little offended at the perceived frugality and simplicity of the country estates.. AKA-- there was nothing she wanted.
@@creativewriter3887 You ever hear the story what she did to the imperial refugees out of Russia .
Queen Mary is an absolutely despicable greedy bitch.

But I do recall in an interview when they were casting for the role of Lady Bagshaw that it was her husband that recommended and lobbied for her to get the role. I'm not sure of what other actresses where in the running, but Thank God they got it right in the end. Is Barrow the butler or not? This is the 2nd time they’ve written him out of the house in search of love. But then again what would they do with Carson….
@Lady O Carson was clearly the better choice to handle such an august occasion as to be serving dinner to their majesties. Far more experienced than Barrow which is why Lady Mary asked Carson to step up to the plate (so to speak lol).
