    Here in south Georgia every used 4 wheeler is snorkeled on 30's "never been sunk" etc. Honda's are king here and everybody wants a premium for them, even if they're 20 years old. It's always Rancher 420's for sale too, very rarely Foreman's or Rubicons. There's ten 420's for sale for every Foreman/Rubicon. Not to mention the old 300 2x4's people want 4 grand for.

    Great video bro, I’ll keep that in mind when I do by a four wheeler!

    I'd still take that Honda over anything with snorkel kits rad relocates oversized tires lift kits wheel spacers bore kits where they bore out the the cylinder to fit a bigger piston and turn 686 CC Yamaha motor into a true 700cc cylinder. Especially when they bought the ATV or side by side for let's say $10,000 and they want to sell it for $17,000 because they want to get their money back out of there upgrades air quotes that they put in the machine. The main reason is you have no idea if any of those modifications were done correctly and how long they'll actually last. And some of these four wheelers and side by sides on 35 inch tires have been swamped meaning the only the handlebars are above water they're on hellacious mud tires that look like they have what look like oars for thread. But I used and abused machine like that Honda that's all mechanical and cosmetic crap that can be fixed relatively cheap and simply but I would take a Yamaha over a Honda any day a nice 2005 Kodiak 450.

    loving these videos more and more. But other than that I bought a 2008 Grizzly in september with 3600 miles but it was clean. Garage kept and very well maintained. It used to be a lifeguard quad so the frame was badly rusted but the previous owner put on a new frame. Other than that the engine runs perfect and all of the plastics are not cracked. Even better it had stock tires, means it's never been really mudded. For 4500 bucks I don't complain and I love it.

    I bought mine a while back for $5,500. 2013 Honda Rancher 420 4x4 low hours and miles. Great running machine.

    in my opinion condition is more important then Mileage . i would take a higher mileage sxs or atv that’s in good condition vs a low mileage beat to death machine. Good chance the higher mileage good looking machine was maintained better also . I bought a 16 rzr 900s with 11500km or 7200miles because i got a heck of a deal vs what lower mileage machines go for here in canada

    My 2006 sportsman 500 is held together with zip ties and wood screws 🤣 and only 3700 miles. Bought it for $1000 and only have around $1600 total into it! Be a great quad though 👍🏼

    I have a 2015 rubicon deluxe. I have been wanting something with more hp for trail riding. I feel my rubicon (IRS) rides pretty good. How does the ride compare to the grizzly?
    Love your videos, very helpful. Thank you.

    • @JacobOverman

      I’d say the they both ride super smooth. The Honda to me feels smoother but I’m also used to it and the tires make a difference. Honda seat is more comfortable for sure in my opinion. Yamahas power steering is better. I’d say look at the grizzly for more power. The can am 700 is nice also.

    I’m kinda lookin around for a four wheeler under $4k. What would you get for a farm/trail riding machine? (Obviously a utility version).

    • @JacobOverman
      @JacobOverman  7 месяцев назад +1

      For $4k. Keep your eyes open for a 14+ footshift rancher that’s in good shape. Maybe an older grizzly. If you’re doing more work than play. Get a Honda. If you don’t need to go over 45 often. Get a Honda. The only reason I see to have a grizzly or anything but a Honda is if you like going fast and travel the roads.
      You would be completely fine getting any older Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda as long as it’s been taken care of.
      I would personally for your application get what I said above. Stick with footshift on used Hondas I would say.

      @@JacobOverman just locked in a deal for a 2006 rancher electric shift 2WD for 1,600 bucks it’s in great shape too. I personally don’t like cheap machines because they break alot but this one is just a sweet deal. I’ll be picking it up tomorrow

      Sounds like you’ve never ridden a Grizzly. If you did, you wouldn’t be saying that.
      Yamaha offers reliability like a Honda, except with much better performance.
