  • If you want to learn how to make southern five flavor pound cake step by step then this is the video for you. You'll learn this pound cake recipe that is made with vanilla flavoring and a lot of butter along with other flavors of course.     Recipe:
    4 C Flour (Sifted)
    2 Tsp Baking Powder
    1 1/4 C Milk
    2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
    4 Sticks Butter, Softened
    3 1/4 C Sugar
    6 Large Eggs or 7 Medium
    1 Tsp Each 4 Additional Flavorings: (Choose Your Own)
    ***I used Pineapple, Rum, Banana, and Butter Flavorings (Plus The Vanilla)
    Preheat Oven To 350 Degrees
    Combine Sugar and Butter (Cream For 5 Minutes With A Mixer)
    Add Eggs One At A Time
    Mix Flavorings With The Milk
    Mix Baking Powder With Flour
    Alternate Mixing Wet/Dry Ingredients (Will Be Really Thick)
    Flour And Grease Your Pan
    Bake 45 Minutes To An Hour OR Until A Toothpick Comes Out Clean

    My mom made this cake for years. Everyone loved it. She would make a hot glaze with orange juice sugar and almond flavor and pour it over the cake while it was still hot in the pan and let it stand for about 30 mins before turning it out. Yummy yummy. So glad to see this video you brought up a warm memory of my mom ♥️

    Yes that banana flavor is everything I made cream cheese pound cake I use banana extract, vanilla extract and also vanilla butter & nut flavor... ppl went crazy over this cake 🎂

    I subscribed because your food looks delicious!! I see a lot of recipe that say flour but what kind of flour? Is it cake flour, all purpose flour, or self rising? That always confuses me and that's a lot to waste..lol 😊❤️

      I use all purpose flour but you can use self rising just omit the baking powder because it's already in it.

    I have a question, if I was making a cake with coconut flavor and wanted my glaze to have that same flavor, could I use coconut milk in my glaze? Or do I have to use regular milk? Thank you!!❤️

      No put a bit of flavoring in the glaze while your're mixing it. You can use coconut milk.

    I made this cake and I did not like it.I thought I was eating a butter pound cake it was very moist but too much butter.

      @sandraslaton6402... it turned out perfect for me!!! Back in the days as a little girl. Both my grannies used 4 sticks of butter in their homemade pound cakes.... you may want to cut yours down to 3 or 3 1/2 sticks.. and use the same amount of flour as well sugar 😊
