Something I've always wished that they added in 2v2 all these years is a button to tell your teammate "I've got it!". It's such a simple addition that would reduce the miscommunication and frustration.
Seriously. I hate having my arrows hovering over the goblin barrel (already signalling I'm going to use it) when I'm near max elixir, only for my partner to use up all their elixir playing their own spell/card.
Spells are much more valuable than in 1v1 because there are so much troops to hit, arrow is insane value for example, and the fact that there are so much bomber firecracker and goblin gangs in the meta
You essentially just have to be "player 2", assume the other guy has 13 functional braincells and just support their pushes and defend. At least that's how I've always played 2v2

The universal language I use is if i want them to use their spell, I’ll rapidly press my cards to show that I’m not gonna do anything. If I wanna start a push, I’ll hover the card that I’m gonna assist with; like a heal spirit for a hog. The part with pushing with similar decks is isn’t as true. It’s more about similar archetypes

I used to play semi professional 2v2. You can count elixir and kinda track cycle, but it requires a lot more skill than for 1v1, most people won’t be able to do it.
I understand Counting elixir as u can pretend its one player with douple elixir speed and cap of 20 But how do u know which player played which card to keep track of cycle Its hard and even impossible when people play similar decks which is what pro level 2v2 is
There was this one match where there's evo pekka coming on left lane and then they played graveyard on right lane, both of us ignored the evo pekka thinking the other will handle it and overkilled the graveyard. So ultimately, the evo pekka took the tower and my teammate left the match 😔
As an ex player that played 2v2 a lot, I can't stress enough how important it is to look at your opponents desk as if its an extension of your own. Synergy is very important. The most frustrating thing is having a teammate that is playing his/her signature deck and playing it as if it's 1v1 (looking at you 2.6 hog). Their normal tricks wont work on 2v2 and you end up handicapping your teammate.
The thing that I have with 2v2 is the match ups that you get with your teammate. They could only have 1000 wins while you have 8000 wins and you can be in league 10 while your teammate is in challenger 3
actually at the start it’s better to put the wizard on the princess tower side since the canonier has way less health so if they start by just cycling a rocket, fire ball , lighting or poison you are already giving them so much value
I did think of that hut i feel like id rather have my wizard get fireballed and stay at 1 HP on my Cannoneer side because id rather play passively If they rocket they are at a disadvantage and you now know not to play any unit in the back for the rest of the game
I get what your saying, for prespective I have almost 3k 2v2 wins, and I know that most matches end in spell cycle/ some sort of chip damage and troops vulnerable to spells are even more intiesing to throw a spell at in 2v2 since your teammate can cover your elixir loss and the chances the other player has a log or something to finish of the wizard after are super high you have lost your wizard and are already almost 700 damage lower on your cannoneer tower if the oppents have 2 princes towers for only a -1 elixir trade at the start of the match

Tornado and splash cards are much stronger in this mode. Cards like giant skeleton are extremely powerful. Also king tower activation just tends to happen no matter what so using king tower activation cards is fine
@Abdod yeah, me too. Too bad not a lot of the game's OSTs have been uploaded here on YT yet, i can only find Shipshape island, Twistee island (which you're using) and the boss themes (which, OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR NOT SPOILING THE NAME OF THE FINAL BOSS).
Bro, i played it for 3 rounds and my 2v2 teammates prevented me from using Tornodo to activate King Tower and our opponents had both PEKKA and Megaknight in one deck resulting in the most cursed double lane pushes 💀💀
Pretty much exclusively play 2v2 (ladder is boring). Some players are so astronomically dumb, you’d question how they live. Can’t wait to see the 2v2 ladder struggle

As someone whos also plays lots of 2v2, that is not true
2v2 is probably the only game mode where I can see clone mirror being meta tbh (as in giant skeleton mirror clone cycle)

I wouldn't say dead but it is a lot harder to play, plus you get punished a lot easier.
