Girl! You got me with the 5mm foam! Thanks for the link, you know we don't have Hobby lobby here in NY 🙄 lol gonna snag some now, I've been gluing layers together for thickness.
Ok… I‘ve been going down the happy mail rabbit hole and came to your channel for this how to… without even knowing the answer to this very serious question…. Where would one use this shaker embellishment? I’m a junk journaler, so I think it’s probably too thick for that. But these are so cute that I must know 🤣
Yes junk journals it would probably be too thick! I only do happy mail swaps, so if i send shaker embellishments they could use them to make a handmade card, add it to a tag for a gift, or embellish their 3d paper projects with the shaker🥰
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I have been wondering how you cut such thick foam. I have everything in my stash to make a shaker but I haven't done it yet because I was scared I would mess something up. Again Thank you for sharing the way you make shakers. Now I will go play and make one or one hundred. lol
I use thick foam only. 5mm. Also only run it thru once. Mine still stretches too but just a tad! And u can let it sit for a bit so it can kinda shrink down some
When my boards get to warped....I pour boiling hot water on them, let them sit in water for a minute or two..take out ,put on a towel on flat surface and put something heavy on top of them..let cool....and walaaaa I have straight boards again...I have never had to buy any more replacement boards....my boards are hard plastic though
Love how the foam looks with shakers makes it look extra dimensional compared to layers of paper. Thank you for taking the time to show your process.🤗💖✨✨✨
Thanks for the tutorial please keep them coming love all your work you explain everything so easily. So many crafters show what they purchased and show after they make the items, but tutorials are hard to come by. TFS, Please tell me where did you find the long tip for your Glue? I need one. You have such a nice speaking voice thank you again :)
Thank You, Thank You, and one more time. I always used tape for the shakers this is so much better! What glue bottle is this and where do you get it with the long shaft?

I recently switch from dt board to the hL 5mm. So much better. Question, how do you avoid your plates from curving?
Jennifer Mcguire has a great video on her channel that tells and shows you how to straighten your plates back out.
I haven't figured that out yet! 😭 they got more curves than Beyonce lol
So cute
Thank youuuuuuuu 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🎃
Every-time I use foam it stretches and it becomes unusable any tips on how to make it not do that?
I use thick foam only. 5mm. Also only run it thru once. Mine still stretches too but just a tad! And u can let it sit for a bit so it can kinda shrink down some
I always end up with glue all over my hands or ink !
I get glue on my hands too!

Is it difficult to cut the foam?
You die cut that correct?
yes just one run through your machine, a little more arm muscle than cutting paper, but that's it
