I love what you've done with this.. It's beautiful. Thanks for being real. So many crafters edit out the difficult moments like getting the backing off tape. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who has struggles when crafting.
I Love it! I am 4 yrs late, but now retired. I can craft again. I want to make this and Thank you for the tutorial. Oh, oh, here comes the clutter on the desk again. Hunting and gathering can be some what fun.
You have enlightened me to shaker cards...yes, I'm late as usual 😀 watching your videos has convinced me that I really need to invest in a cutting machine of some sort to make these beautiful window frames. I adore the 3X3 cards! I have tons in my stash, this is an awesome idea. 😀 thank you Tara!
WOW What a pretty card,I do like the soft sugary pinks with the silver,so delicate.I am sooo jealous of your amazing sequin stash,Thanks for sharing another of your beautiful creations xx
Your Videos are wonderful! Thank you for showing us so much, so many wonderful ideas. You also have such a pleasing voice, that it makes it a pleasure to listen to you.
+MsCooperscoop You're welcome Muriel! I have the fuse but don't care to have that hot thing sitting next to me for one or two cards. I find it much easier to use the tape. I can't wait to see your shaker cards!
Absolutely beautiful, and simple, card. You are such a great teacher. I enjoy your tutorials very much. I will even attempt to make this shaker card. Thanks.
Beautiful! We have a toy charity called Jeffreys Toy Closet that my son started in adjunct to his racing about 15 years ago. I will be making some of these to add to the Christmas packages and Toy bags that he gifts to sick and needy kids. These will be awesome to write a little bit of merry sentiment and encouragement. Thank you.
Tara, thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial. It was so easy to follow. I am definitely going to make a few of my Christmas cards using this style, and if I have the time, I will post them in a video. Your card turned out so pretty. I love all of those sequins.....looks like candy lol. Your tutorials are always so easy to follow and your voice is so nice to listen to. Thanks again, V.
+vnetta662 You're so welcome! Thank you so much for your sweet words, it's much appreciated. I'm so glad you and many others appreciate my tutorials, it's nice to know all the time I dedicate to them are not in vain, lol! Please share your cards, I'd love to see them!
Cute!!! Love the colors!!! Very creative!!! Thanks for sharing how to seal the pocket without the Fuse!!! Love this card maybe I will try it. I have never made a shaker card. TFS!!!
Such a cute idea, Tara! So happy I got one from you, lol! This is a nice alternative to shaker cards if you've run out of foam tape, lol!!! Thanks!!! Great tutorial as always!! Hugs!
Do you glue paper to cardboard to make it stronger? Your work is always is so beautiful you always take care of every detail I enjoy all of your videos and look forward to seeing them. Thank you for sharing all you do.
Hi Tara, Awesome tutorial!! Will have to get some of the sleeves you used. The card turned out Beautiful. I think I added an extra step or two when I did my shaker envelope cards. Will definitely be doing them this way. TFS Sheryl
+gemzisle Thanks Sheryl! You can use any plastic sleeves you may have. I'm going try to find some plastic page protectors at the dollar store and see how they work. If I like them I'll let you know as they would be more economical. I tried using the self sealing bags as an alternative but the sequins don't move as freely as I'd like. Have fun creating, can't wait to see more of your shaker cards!
+gemzisle Hey Sheryl, I wanted to get back to you and let you know that I played around with the clear page protectors from the Dollar Tree and they work beautifully. Naturally they're a little more flimsy than the wrmk sleeves but the sequins and beads move around nicely and I'm very happy with the result. I may do a quick update video because for $1 you get 16 sheets per pack and that's enough to make a lot of shaker cards!
+NurseTara04 WOW...Thanks Tara!!! 16 sheets for $1?? I'll be stopping tonight! I may not be able to work on them tonight but I will be doing some this week. Thanks again for the tutorial and the cheaper route for the sleeve. I'm also sending you a PM about something else. Thanks again for all of your help!!!
Oh for Heaven's sake! This is a great vid! Love how you used the silver pen on the edge! Plus, about Cartwright Sequins! Just got my order in and they are gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing!
+iloveminialbums Thank you so much! Aren't they just gorgeous in person?! I'm waiting for another order to arrive now. Our postal service was suspended for a few days due to the blizzard, lol! Tfw!
I would be afraid that clear tape wouldn't hold over time because that kind of tape looses it's tackiness after a while. That would definitely worry me & on such a beautiful card. Have you checked any that you made some time ago. This I a really beautiful card in every way & clever. Hopefully the foam tape will be what it needs. I will definitely try this type of shaker. Pink & silver is such a pretty combination. Thank you for your inspiration & your time.
