Thank you so much! I was wondering how artists at conventions make this kind of stuff. I recently got an acrylic keychain that’s a mini dress up one that came with changeable cards and it honestly surprises me that you can even manufacture complex stuff like this.
I’ve been wondering how these charms were made! I finally ordered my first shaker charm this week and was curious about the process. 🤩 thanks for sharing!
You’re a blessing. Thank you for in-depth how to! I’ve been ordering acrylics from vograce for a few months now and was looking into making a shaker charm to add to my shop. This was super helpful :)
Man. I was really hoping there was a way to make these on my own with some kind of cutter machine I could save up for and not have to rely on a 3rd party. The only other tutorials I could find were of resin or shrinky dinks.
well that was super helpful! lol been thinking of designing a few of these for awhile...appreciate all the effort that went into this! thank you! (insert star eyed emoji here) LOL my pc wouldn't let me add an emoji :( looking forward to seeing you again soon!
I know this video is very old but does vograce still do 3D shaker charms? I can’t seem to figure out how to order and format my layers to make sure it turns out 3D
The white layer isn't necessary, but helps with preventing the charm from being see-through! I don't hand draw it, I select the outline of the art layer and, on a separate layer, fill that selection with white.
There may be rulers in other art programs I'm not familiar with, but you could also print the design at 100% size to double check the sizing! Worst case scenario, you could ask your manufacturer to check the sizing for you!
I've purchased your bottled wishes charm and LOVE IT. It's lasted so long with the minimal scratching and it's my absolute favorite keychain!!
I LOVE hearing that!! I've been told my acrylic keychains are really durable, so it's always nice to know they still are~

I’m pretty sure you’d have to have an industrial printer and acrylic cutter to make these yourself
🤩 super helpful!!!
Glad you think so! ^^

I believe they still do! If you aren’t sure if the files are correct, you can always email them to ask!
I’m using ibis paint to create my artwork for a shaker keychain, how would I separate the transparent layer?
I’ve never used ibis paint so I can’t say, I’m sorry!
Hi! I was wondering if you know how to make these 100% at home?
Sorry, I do not!
🤩
🥰
Do you have to draw the white layers? I’ve seen many other artist make them without providing the white layers. I was just curious!
The white layer isn't necessary, but helps with preventing the charm from being see-through! I don't hand draw it, I select the outline of the art layer and, on a separate layer, fill that selection with white.
@@LeSpiritDesigns ok! Thank u so much!
So there will be 3 acrylics right? Front-transfer-back
I think so...! That's usually the amount of file layers I'm sending, but it can vary from design to design!
Is there any way to measure or estimate the sizes if you don't have photoshop?
There may be rulers in other art programs I'm not familiar with, but you could also print the design at 100% size to double check the sizing! Worst case scenario, you could ask your manufacturer to check the sizing for you!
Who is your manufacturer? I couldn’t make it out in the video.
I use Vograce!
So you don’t make your charms…. Maybe call this video “how to order shaker charms”
It’s how to make shaker charms from design to file ready for manufacturing. I didn’t title the video DIY shaker charms
This is your friend @nameroftheguardian from TikTok! Thank you for such a great and In depth tutorial I can't wait to share what I make!
