When I was young many baseball experts in Japan were saying that eventually hitters would dominate pitchers because hitters can literally take hundred of practice swings everyday but pitchers could only throw a finite number of pitches. I'm not sure if experts in the US were saying similar things.
What Smoltz said. That reminds me of the World Series between the the brewers who led the Majors in HR. And the cardinals who led the league in hitting. Who won the World Series. The cardinals. And yes. The Brewers were an American League team back in the day 1982 word series
