I love my 109t! I grew up hunting, but always used my families guns. I recently bought my first rifle, which was a Rugar AR-556 and I fully enjoy shooting it.
After completing my CPL course i bought my first pistol, a SIG P365. After buying it I wish I went with a P365x/P365xl. You live and you learn.
I recently went to mu local gun shop/firing range and they had a 109t on sale for $599 and I couldn't say no. I've been wanting an AR pistol with a really short barrel, but I was told .223/5.56 need at least a 10.5in barrel for those rounds to be reach their full potential (I'm the complete opposite of an expert so u could be way wrong). I was hoping to find one in 45, but it was too late. The sale gods had already spoken to me lol.
I know I wrote a novel, but I just wanted to share my gun history. I haven't looked, but did you do a video on basic upgrades to do first on your 109t? I'm trying to get some ideas on where to start.
I'm going to go check out your older videos and see if you have one I'm looking for. Love your content. Keep the videos coming. I have my notification bell on ✋️

Thanks for the video. I have the exact brace waiting for installation on my 109T but I’m chicken shit worried about damaging it getting the castle not off. Would heat and a castle nut wrench with a “cheater pipe” attached work?

Yeah- I used a straight up pipe wrench. 🤷‍♂️ castle nuts are cheap.

Am I correct when saying New milspec buffer tube, along with original buffer? Also is buffer spring travel longer in new tube than stock tube?

The tube lengths are the same diameter. However, you are correct in assuming a new tube is needed.

Has anyone swapped the charging handle on the SAR109T? I believe they're a bit shorter than the standard mil spec AR handles and I'm not sure where to find a good ambi charge handle.

What I did was order an extended latch- ambis aren’t really my thing- so I’ve never looked for one… but any extended latch will work.

@@non_tactical_talor8353 got it, I'll look into those. Honestly the SAR109T is my first firearm so I don't know exactly what im doing or what I want. But I did get it as a dedicated PDW for home defense. Do you have any recommendations for a muzzle device? I was thinking a flash hider, linear comp, or a flash can even.

@@maximusdecimusmeridius4638 I’ve stuck to the a2- but have tried a linear comp. If in home, flash hider with linear comp. Hit up my instagram dms if you wanna throw around more ideas and pics of my different set ups. More active there
