- Whitney Houston performs in Stuttgart, Germany 1999 (My Love Is Your Love Tour)
This is one of the better concerts during the My Love Is Your Love era. Houston is in mostly good vocal form here; this can be seen in her performances of My Love Is Your Love and Heartbreak Hotel. However, the highlight of the concert is her raw, impassioned performance of I Love The Lord, which sadly was not recorded completely. Another highlight is her vocal sparring with Amanda Marshall during her performance of I Go The Rock.
Limited lung capacity because of emphysema, meant she lost that "3rd lung" she was famous for. She had to shorten her phrasing, to catch her breath. Her older style of I will always love you, stretches the song from 4 mon and 40s to almost 7 min. The tone of her voice is still close to Bodyguard era.

Yes!!! the opera high notes, scats and riffs....I am absolutely obsessed with these types of performances by the great one :) She's in a Zone when she does this. That is what would leave her audiences spellbound and many just standing there in tears. It was like oh my God, what kind of voice...woman...talent is this!!!!!!

LORD!!!! this is simply breathtaking!! i just added Adam Ulanovsky upload of Stuttgart 2 1999 to my favs playlist that audio is off the hook and she sung it on that upload the same as this and tore up!!! the gospel. This stuff is timeless and priceless!! You better believe we will ALWAYS Love U Whitney!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Thanks for posting. I had actually watched this concert, but the quality wasn't too good on the full concert. This version of I wil Always Love you was really good. In fact all these versions from 1999 were good. RIP Whitney and thanks for sharing!

i wouldnt say she went to shits, he was hust inconsistant with the qaulity of her voice from 2000 onwards. 2004 some good vocal qaulity, 2007 and then 2009/10 again
It was around 2001 where her voice truly started to deteriorate
What a stupid description of the video: "This was one of her better concerts during the MLIYL era." Whitney was in great vocal form during the whole MLIYL tour. I saw her 4 times: in Mannheim, 2 times in Zurich and in London, all 4 concerts were great.

Unfortunately, by this point, Kirk had been long gone. If you look at her 1996 Brunei concert, he was not the saxophonist there either. In the brief tours that she did in 1997 and 1998, the saxophone stayed for the instrumental. By 1999, the arrangement changed for the guitar.
