Clearly many do not understand how the ventilation system works. In relation to the bigger intakes the air velocity is slower (Daniel Bernoulli) making the output voltage from the MAF lower.
Without active forums a lot of ppl mindlessly mod their cars not understanding what makes or removes power.
For the air port that you said people block off, it looks like the z1 3” intakes come with the hole so you can just put the rubber hose they give you. Kind of like the 2.5” intakes, so would that save me the hassle of doing all that you did to get rid of the vacuum?

Did you notice gains when switching from Takeda intakes to the 3" Admin?
Oh yea the butt dyno definitely felt it. Any 3” should yield some good results.
You can actually vent the back two Pcv ports if you have a catch can because the catch can used the ports on the intake manifold
That will pull in unmetered air and cause bad idle and lean problems from the excess air.

Im installing admin 3in intakes on my dyno day, is it okay if I leave the PCV system as is for around a few days to a week before I get the kit or do I NEED to do something about the PCV right away?
Would u recommend the Coolant/oil catch can from Admintunning. I wanna buy it but I don’t see a baffled catch can system keeping things from going back in. What do u think ?
Combo cans are great. I have one coming from a vendor I’m keeping quiet. Lol. So that type of can it’s vented. There is no suction to go back into the engine.

Jus got 3 inch long tube STILLEN cold air intakes was wondering if u need a chip to access the ecu or if I can get it dyno tuned without wasting money on a chip
I don’t believe stillen ever made 3” intakes. 2.5” intakes don’t require a tune but it helps. 3” intakes require a tune.
Could you just throw 4 small filters over the crankcase vent and pcv valves and cap off the manifold?
Technically you can. But they the blow by gasses with condense to the closest cooler surface and create an oily mess under your hood.
You did Etuning right ? Because I’m doing the opposite I’m going to trailer my g because the tuner will be two hours away from me. So we’ll see how that goes .
Yea, no one really close. Finally got the car back from doing the gaskets and now finishing up the etuning
Are the fittings that go into the valve cover restricted of a free flow?
Rly should be. It’s not really a pressure line so it should affect much.
Hey Kevin! Looking back at this video it looks like I made a mistake by only capping off the lines. Just today I start to notice lots of white Smokey air come out of one of those lines! Do you know what might be going on ?! Thanks un advance.

Shouldn’t you tune it. Unknown also if you may run into routing interference of the tubes.

so if i have dual catch cans, and get 3in intakes… do i have to get rid of my catch cans for whatever this is honestly i understand cars very well but this is something i just dont understand
Catch cans are for the PCV system to stop blow by from going back into your intake system to reburnt. Depending on your intake sometime depict the catch can setup.
I have a p0300 code on my 08 g37 coupe ... i have changed the plugs, coil packs, silocone intake hoses, pcv delete and my car is still retaining the p0300 code and is now randomly overheating so its off the road til I figure this out ... anyone have any ideas? my only idea is to change the spark plugs again but use OEM instead of the crappy ones they gave me at autozone and replace the thermostat to fix the overheating.

hey where can i find fuel hoses for the g37? for the ac lines
pls reply i got the 3 inch intakes and dont want them rubbing against the ac-lines on the driver side, where do i get those fuel hose protectors from
Any auto parts store will have it.

@@3rdPedalMedia thanks for the help, also, im going to be installing catless downpipes/ test pipes and 3 inch long tube Z1 intakes, first 2 mods ever and im getting a stage 2 tune from z1, how much hp u think ill gain crank, im thinkin hopefully around 30-40hp crank
What if I want to add catch cans , do just leave the pcv breather as is with the filters ?
if its a recirculating catch can it will be in-between the two ports, the video illustrates the atmospheric setup.
@@3rdPedalMedia I wanna do the mishimoto dual catch cans & it only has 2 ports for each can , so am I fine just leaving the breather with the filter ? Like the way you had it in the video
