PvZ Heros should be studied by game devs to see how much games can evolve without receiving any patches
fr
Tf2
Smash Ultimate
I think this is well established across many games since this very innovation happens in other card games or retro formats where the card pool is set in stone like how the meta defining threat of "Goat Control" had an entire format named after it in yugioh and it's not even not even close to what people would consider among the top 10 best deck you could be playing.
@@antusFireNovasmash melee too if you think about it
meta call: weenie beanie is overpowered and will be seen in every deck after the new set drops
The new set will drop the moment we colonise Uranus

@@miyavmeowyes it's confirmed for 3036
Meaning never, which makes sense
New set drops with gta6
I love how the tier lists have changed, shows how the meta is evolving.
Rose went from being considered the best plant hero when old Midrose was discovered, to the worst, and now she's considered the best hero again with the discovery of heal Midrose.
Who needs balance changrs, am i right? (Nerf pepper please)
@@jakepeng9962 I'd make every single meta 1 drop and 2 drop cost 1 more and have +1 health.
I'm sure they all deserve the nerf.

Rose is really crap without heals
I challange you to make a deck with only S-tier plants and zombies.
If there are not enough S-tier cards you can use A-tier.
F tier cards only
Hacked deck 40 weenie beanies
Isn't this just that one Grass Knuckles no synergy deck he did?
I wonder how much of a difference will it make if Winter Melon is given untrickable. It’s sad seeing the heart of Suvival Endless strategies be such a mediocre legendary in Heroes.

Fry you should make a meta decks tier list. You’ve stated many times what the best decks are for each hero but I feel like I haven’t seen you rank them together
If you want a fun deck with planet of the grapes try it with starfruit it will draw 1-5 cards depending on how many minions cover the field.
cool idea
Once upon a time, there was a Weenie Beanie. This Weenie Beanie was so powerful that it could destroy an entire army of zombies with just a flick of its wrist. It could kill so many zombies that the entire board was empty with them, and the opponent’s zombies couldn’t even move. The Weenie Beanie was so strong that it could even defeat the infamous Z-Mech in a single turn. It could destroy so many cards that its field was always full, and it never ran out of options. But the true power of the Weenie Beanie was not in its ability to kill zombies. No, the true power of the Weenie Beanie was in its ability to summon the ultimate weapon: Cornucopia. With Cornucopia by its side, the Weenie Beanie was unstoppable. It could destroy a never- ending stream of zombies that overwhelmed the opponent’s defenses and destroyed everything in its path And that, my friends, is the power of the Weenie Beanie. May we all be blessed with its incredible strength and unwavering power.
We really doing this again

I agree star fruit is not the best, but i don't think it deserves to be in the same teir as carrot pult, melon pult, saplfling ect since it has potential. Also i found a funny way to use starfruit in nightcap where you run a mushroom deck to bait our plumbers and rolling stones i think you should give that concept a shot fry. It would probably be better as cycle cap.
Probably put it in D tier just to make point because I think people are just playing dry starfruit on turn 5 and hope for the best and they're not getting the message so it needs to go through their eyes.
I use starfruit. That damn thing saves games like nobody even asked for.
I have won so many games with star fruit. By turn five most removal has been used. I save lane one for it and in the worst case it dies that turn (after doing 10 damage) . I have lots of ways to buff it and hold on turn five if needed. Lily of the valley on four star fruit on five: concede.
@@AnemoWinds Yeah but really, melon pult.😥
@@jakepeng9962 What about the melon pult?
@@TheDeadlyDalek Heh heh. It's amazing. Do you run Onion rings too? That starfruit is going hard tonight if you do so now it deals 20+ damage when you add lily+embiggen+pea patch+bonus attack go brr.
1 cost 1/1 weenie beanies?
Beans for a reasonable price?
Satisfactory!
Iceberg lettuce is underrated
It has the same use as a team-up plant, which is that it can make your plant live in a trade, but has a key difference, while most team-ups die to almost any trick, the only thing that can counter a freeze is an extra attack, which is just slow and usually a bad idea. Maybe team-ups can also add damage, but if you want something that will help you win trades reliably, iceberg lettuce is the best option
Yea but if you are looking to win cheap trades then use banana bomb / berry blast it’s always going to be better because if you brick with iceberg then you can’t do anything
@@TheRegularDoggo Yeah but those will only work with small cards and won’t help your card survive
Please remember that plants turn is before zombie tricks. Zombies could remove your card with removals and leave a card on the table unscathed. Bounce is way more effective as it requires the zombie hero to play the card again, making ramping unavailable.
Freeze lettuce also does not offer anything other than freezing. It does not remove the card. It delays the round one turn and makes the next turn more difficult to play.
Freeze lettuce also removes one card from your hand without putting another one back, it forces you to have no card advantage
Even if you say that freeze may win you a round and you are completely fine with having no card advantage, there are many other cards that can win you a trade as well. Putting more one costs into your deck does not benefit you at all unless you play aggro. Mid End games are way more important.
Weenie beanie murdered my family and committed areon, S-tier
31:56 It's Iceberg Lettuce, Snowdrop is the one that buffs itself when a zombie is frozen
Zucchini is also a much version of zombot on plant side. It costs the same, still leaves minions on the field and worst of all, it is understatted
Imagine bad moon rising after great zucchini, can you really tell they are the same
The thing is, is you play zombot dry.
The plant player can still use their 9 suns to break you and set up combos. Blocking zombot with a 1 or 0 cost plant even and using the rest of their sun and cards to wreck havoc with an otk for example.
You have to teleport him while risking either getting brainana'd and lose the game or the plant player uses a combo that makes you lose (bonus attack, direct damage to face, etc). Or use graveyard the previous turn and risking what mentioned before except instead of brainana, the problem would be grave removal.
If you play great zucchini the zombie player can only use tricks depending of how much they spent that turn on zombies (unless you have dark dragon on the field
then is just gg) but is guaranteed to be effective compared to dry zombot.
Realistically both need a buff, one is dependent on cards that aren't even on its own class while the other is simply outclassed.
On great zucchini's case is simple, I would change his cost to 8 and change dark dragon's cost to 9.
@@lememeastic1932 who says you only play zombot dry, leaping to zombot is way better.
Zucchini is prone to BMR and zombot wrath, plus all the lanes will be blocked by 1/1 zombies. It cannot compare to zombot
Honestly, aside from the stats it could be seen as better. The zombies can't really play or do much with the 1/1 minions (unless maybe buffing them a little), whereas zombot removes the entire field so the plants can still place down stronger minions.
I wonder if leaf blower is amphibious because they were planning on water environments?
It's probably just because it hovers. Nothing special about it.
Seems fair, since most of the hovering cards are amphibious. The only reason hail-a-copter isn't amphibious is because the imp is afraid to fly over water.
Weenie beanie is the live laugh love of pvz heroes
Fry! You moonbean! (In a nice way) Birb should be A tier no questions asked! It's one of the best tempo cards in the game. If you think about it as dab magician, playing with a bunch of must answer cards earlier in the turns brings it out. Dino roars are some of the best tempo cards anyways. It triggers them and gets you a superpower. Imagine astrocado with a super on turn 6 while also triggering a Dino roar in the same turn. Or turn 4 imitator then birb on turn 5. Turn 6 cob would also help protect birb against zombies and be the new target for zombie removal. There's a lot of 100% certain good things about birb. Good in ramp, tempo, control, troll, and fun conjure. You could probably even throw it into an aggro deck as a decent atk amphibious minion that has card draw. Give it a chance!
If you play bird, 90% of the time it gets removed, kind of pointless to run bird, but I agree, the reward is huge when it is on the field.
You ppl don't read. Tempo is the name of the game. Removal is good, but that doesn't stop cards like astro, tricarratops, etc from being good. So one-dimensional!
@@CinnaGrim01bird of paradise costs enough that it is susceptible to removal from rocket science, fruitcake, etc. tricarrotops and astro-shroom are EARLY cards. they're cards that aren't vulnerable to removal due to removal costing too much to remove it when they're placed. astro-shroom works because it allows for a swarm of puff-shrooms to overwhelm you and chip away your health to a low point, and tricarrotops isn't vulnerable to rocket science until there are more, possibly deadlier cards to take care of. bird of paradise is also slow. yes, it's superpowers, but it's turn 5. if your opponent brings in a deadly finisher and you play bird of paradise, that doesn't help you. you don't respond to your opponent's plays with bird of paradise until it's too late to respond and you're already dead.

Hey Fry,
I am quite new to the game and so far I have only been buying 11 premium packs for 1000 gems. I got quite lucky and got grass knuckles AND rose in this deck and I planned on building a pretty popular budget rose deck that works around elderberry and Dr Pepper heal (when I get ketchup). Now some people recommended to me to buy 11 Colossal packs (also because it allegedly gives a lot of sparks) next but in your videos (from 2 years ago) you said that the colossal pack is not worth it. Now I am confused about if I should buy it or not and if it makes sense in my specific deck. Would appreciate any help.
You should progress from Premium, then Galactic, then the primal colossal. Premium and galactic contain pretty much 80% of the best cards in the game.
What's your running deck anyways.
This is probably the most random thing ever but I have a concept for a mythical card which probably will never be added: it's a 5 cost that it's call imp cannon it's a 2 attack and 7 health when it hurts a plant it put down a random imp and then it when hurts the plant hero it will put down 2 random imps when it's damage it will get a 1 damage buff and when it dies it does 5 damage to a random plant
I don't like bean counter's design much either. Beans are about burn, and are normally designed to easily fit on boards as they normally have amphibious and teamup. Bean counter randomly goes tempo, and gives 1 1s that clog lanes. It could be reworked.
Could be useful as a 4 cost 3/2 when you play a bean this does a bonus attack, gain 1 weenie beanie.
Giving it or the beans it conjures team up would make it viable.
I would change it to:
4 cost 3/3
when played: Conjure 2 weenie beenies, they cost 1 less and get team-up.
I would combine lememeastic's idea to make:
4 cost 1 5
When played: gain 2 Weenie Beanies, they cost 1 less and have teamup.
When a bean hurts the Zombie hero: Steal a section of their blockmeter, and this gains +1 +1
Give beam counter team up. Easy fix. When you conjure it from cosmic bean it’s actually pretty good, you can just stick the weenie beans in front of it to protect it.
"weenie beanie f tier btw"-nerdy emoji
guys weenie beanie is op onşy card that answers weenie beanie is swabbie which is as op as weenie beanie
Theory: Fry put Weenie Beanie in F tier in an attempt to stop people from using it on him when he plays as zombies
I found out Mayflower is decent in aggro decks, it doesn't do much damage, but the two extra damage in the water lane is nice, and the card draw is actually really helpful in this deck archetype even if it's conjures as it gives you more options and makes you less likely to run out of steam.
The aim of aggro decks is to deal as much damage as possible in the early game and finish your opponent with a finisher plant as early as possible, not allowing opponent to win you in late game. Conjuring cards is not the spirit of the deck, as most likely you will not conjure a strong finisher card, which means you are encouraging the game to go forever and allowing your opponent to deploy game ending threats. It also takes up space in the limited 40 cards you are allowed to bring into the game.
Mayflower may seem very cool but it's not good
@@LJTTYT I have to disagree, card draw/conjuring cards helps Aggro decks against their bad match ups, they are weak to being controlled and often run out of cards while facing these opponents, for my experience, Mayflower is pretty helpful in these match ups as it makes it less likely for you to run out of steam even if it's just lane fodder.
Plus, again, 2 damage in the water lane is not bad, it's honestly as much as you're going to get most of the time if you aren't running Beans.
@@sussy3778 if you depend conjures to make the game continue, it's no different to rng decks. Other smarty plants like brainana dragon counters controls, pineclone molekale will help the recovery of aggro decks in mid, no aggro decks will last until late game.
The point of aggro decks is to end the game asap, not stalling the game. If you are concerned about early game, play everything you have in turn 3 and pineclone molekale. Procrastinating the game via conjures allows the opponent to use strong finishers like BMR garg feast zombot. You will not be able to win against those cards.
@@LJTTYT Is not depending on Conjure, it's more akin to Banana Peel or Photosynthesizer where the card does something and draws you a card that you can use later, Mayflower is surprisingly decent in aggro decks for the extra damage in the water lane and the card it conjures and unlike Brainana and Dragon, Mayflower only costs 3.
I would love to see a tier list on the heroes music
It'd be incredibly helpful if you'd specify between versatility and the strength of the card within the best decks it's played in.
How are mayflower and jumping bean in the same tier? Jumping bean can give you so much tempo
Im very happy Dark Matter Dragonfruit got s tier not only becuse its such a good card but becuse its my favorite card in the whole game
Loving these modern tier lists.
Umbrella leaf + Starfruit is actually pretty fun
Tier List Idea: Rate The Soundtrack’s in the Game or Theme Song’s Like Beta-Carrotina or Huge-Giganticas.
How did melon pult make it out of F-tier from the last tier list???
Yeah, it should theoretically be lower since his new criteria is how many decks they’re run in and it’s run in 0
I find a lot of good use of planet of the grapes and cards like rotobaga and starfruit. Plus with the Green Shadow’s plant food cards, you can easily get a lot of triggers for cards like the bananasaurus rex
The risk of breaking the block meter alone makes planet of the grapes a very risky environment to run, unless the cycler is bullseye
Not worth it imho
Fru could u make a tier list of all tier S plants to see the top of the top and other for zombies?
31:50 stop calling iceberg lettuce, snowdrop
I take great offense to putting starfruit in D tier, I'll have you know
Am I the only one who thinks that primal peashooter is overrated? At least, from what I see, if you play any “when played” ability zombies infront of it, you get the ability twice?
Where's that guy that says all the changes?
(Edit: I found them. Love the teirlists tho).
Hello @FryEmUpGaming . I completely agree with the opinion about laser cattail, but I found good synergy with Corn Dog. So idea is to put the cat and the dog together (sounds fun :D), and then the dog moves once a zombie spots other lane. Then you can play another card and cat becomes 4/3 which is pretty cool, but all this is very rare to happen.
Ranking of all F tiers for worst card and all S teirs for best card
lily pad has a lot of ways of use, it synergizes with dinos (caaaaarrot) its fusion abilty not only allows the 2+ strength from bog but also helps with certain when plant is played abilities, not only because you can play on water, but because you can play on anywhere(like on the mushroom enviroment lily pad into another plant 2 puff shroom. I also never play it on water earlygame lol.) and just plating on water is useful so it can be a very varied option depending and in most situations.
also just acts like a 1 cost conjure leafy i guess

Man, I can't believe starch lord ended up once again, in F tier, this is disgraceful, disrespectful and uncalled for. EA(electronic arts) carefully crafted Starch lord, the 4 cost 2 attack 4 health minion that when played and survives the turn, will conjure the plant player a root plant, which when either that or any other root plant is played that root plant will gain an extra stat boost of 1 attack and 1 health, with these boosts from the almighty starch lord he will easily crush his foes beneath his starchy potato root body, why he is not in S tier, fry must be seeing stars on cloud coocoo-land as he truely is, one of a kind, with his destiny written in the starch.

It would be too strong, I would personally increase it to a 6-cost 3/3 to balance it's very strong effect with low enough stats to counter to some degree, otherwise it instantly wins the game versus slower tools like Dark Matter Dragonfruit.
@@snufflepuspenguins1234 that sounds like a really good balance change 👍🏻
Here's why I don't like the great zucchini, I once used petal-morphosis, the last card in my hand, on a button mushroom from more spore, the last card on the field. It was in lane one, and it turned into the zucc, which shut down my opponent completely and guaranteed a win. They then proceeded to Bad Moon Rising and got two Zombots.
To be fair that would have happened if they had Bad Moon Rising anyway
How the hell is anybody supposed to make laser cattail work
Spamming teamups in front?
I sometimes try to get away with a laser cattail on 2 if they played a 2-cost zombie, so then when they go to front it on 3 I stick a pear cub in front to buff it twice. Works decently if you can pull it off since it’s a 5/4 and a 4/3 teamed up but usually laser base or rocket science get rid of that lane pretty soon after
