There is free parking at the Opry Mills Mall adjacent to the Grand Ole Opry and Gaylord Opryland. We’ve camped nearby at the KOA every year for 10 years and never paid to park at the Opry or Opryland.

Many of the places I wanted to go recently have raised the prices out of my want to spend the money there range. I know they need to make money and also by keeping the prices up you control the clientele, but it is getting ridicules at many places. Hope you have a few good days to do stuff wherever you guys are now Tara, I understand what you go through. Sta safe and healthy.

When we took the Opry tour, we just parked in the mall parking lot, for free. You should also check out the General Jackson Showboat that's on the other side of the mall from the Opry. For a great tour of Nashville, I would recommend Lawman Tours. He's a retired (28 years, I believe) Nashville police officer. He will pick you up, right at your campground. He has local knowledge and stories that are amazing.

Hope you guys had a great Christmas! But seriously tho, Daisy killed me at the beginning, the “cheese” word, begging, up the stairs looking down 🥺🥺🥺 I felt super bad when Chad crashed, that’s crazy that they just stop when the battery dies! What up with that? He said he was okay just after, but how did he really feel? 😊 Thanks for taking us along, I am a country fan and had always wondered what that place was like. Hope you guys have a great New Year ❤

Hello you guys. My wife and I are thinking about going full-time rv like you guys. I have a Indian motorcycle like you to haul as well and I really like your setup. My question is, assuming you have put your rig on the scales, does your bike change the pin hitch weight for the truck? I want a F450 but I know the payload is less than a F350. How much weight difference is the hitch weight with and without the bike? I'm not an engineer but I'm assuming with the bike loaded, the pin hitch would me lighter with the load shift. Thank you and we love your videos.

Ohhhhhkay, gonna rant here for a second. Why can't these manufacturers take and extra 35 minutes to run the water lines and electrical "cleanly" in the mechanical area? It's so stupid to have that spider web of crap that they hide behind a wall that takes 15 minutes to disassemble and get into. They waste so much usable space because they refuse to do a good job during assembly. My mechanical space looks just like yours and this summer I'm planning to completely rework it and remove that stupid wall they use to hide their inability to produce quality work! Okay rant mode off.
Great video guys, i love your channel :)

I grew up in Nashville and go back often to visit family...I even worked at Opryland when it was an amusement park as a teenager! Elm Hill is our go-to park, but I agree that you have to be careful in choosing sites if you're big. We are a 45ft Class A towing. We always try to get one of the sites nearest the exit, usually around Site #105. It's nice & long, but still somewhat of a challenge for us to get into. The view is of the marina.

Be careful going to Buckie’s. We parked in the back. We didn’t get parked to well, but it was going to be a quick visit. We were in the back lot with very little traffic. When we got back a shaggy looking guy was parked almost against us. He smirked at us. We got in quickly and left. We got to our campground by the grace of God. He had pulled our kinq pin on our hitch. There is no way it was normal wear and tear. We had read not to put a lock so you can unhitch quickly if the is an emergency. Now we put locks and one of us stay with the rig in crowds like Buckie’s.

Tara, Curious if you have done a strict carnivore diet as an elimination diet to see if you can identify foods that may make you feel bad. Just a thought to maybe help improve even if it’s some help on some scale. From my understanding foods don’t always make you feel bad just after eating them but on a body system affect. . Couldn't figure out where you parked at the Opry but there is plenty of parking directly in front of the building even on event nights. Also, no charge. Safe travels.

Parking in Nashville is a real drawback. I think we spent more on parking the two days we were there a few years ago that we did on anything else. Oh, then there is the traffic! Seeing the Opry at the Ryman, touring the Country Music Hall of Fame and the George Jones Museum made it worth it though as I am a huge fan of older Country Music. I think we might actually try Uber or Lyft next time. Probably cheaper. Safe travels.

  • @Garth2011

I have to agree on the parking fees especially the amount that is charged these days. It gives me the wrong feeling when I'm already paying to attend an establishment where money is being paid to enter not to mention all of the extra spending that can take place once inside. In CA, the new SoFi Stadium in south Los Angeles charges $100 minimum parking and there are several stages or levels of parking lots which all carry their own parking rates but the least expensive one is $100 but the stadium entrance is a major walk ! Then, you can imagine the price of a soft drink and a hot dog not to mention the seat ticket prices. I believe the same idea goes for all sporting events, overpriced everything from stem to stern. It seems that the entire entertainment world has changed their "guest friendly" attitudes to stick it to 'em but at the same time, you have to foot the expense that they pay the "professional ball players". Just recently the Dodgers made a deal for $75,000,000 a year for one player ! One day they will require $5 to use their restrooms, per visit.

This is probably a stupid question but when you were backing in, it looked like you had reverse lights on the toy hauler. Is that what I was seeing?

Love your videos. Would be great to see the film date at the beginning to know the time frame you're at locations. This video looks like before fall?

If you all ever come to Nashville again and do anything with the Opry or the hotel. Make sure to park on the backside of the movie theater at Opry Mills mall. It’s a 5-10 min walk, but it’s free to park.

I worked security at Opryland in the late 80's and early 90's. Worked on the set of Nashville Now and also at the Opry House - it was so much fun and I met so many (now) superstars. Thanks for the memories!

South of Nashville is Franklin and it is a great town to see. Our daughter lived there for awhile. We loved the area. Mountains you could see . where our daughter lived you saw the mountains and cows at the same time. Our son in law passed away and she moved back here to be near family as she had small children to raise.
