The way Alan Jackson so smoothly slides in as the Wise Man he truly is. Glorious!
Yes he is
In 1979 at work one day this young girl came up to me and said she was selling U.S. savings bonds. If I bought one from her, she would take me out for a drink. I did and a year later we were married. 40 years later we have 4 children, 3 grandchildren. May be the most expensive savings bond I ever bought. But it was also the most rewarding savings bond ever, for me. Thank you my love for saving my life.
That made me smile. I hope one day I'll have a story like that.
4 months ago, I started speaking with one of my venders. I met her 7 weeks ago. She is the most amazing woman I've ever met. I realized I loved her even before I met her. The night she sat in my truck and told me she loved me, I knew. She and I didnt create this, it was giving to us.... I will ask her to be my wife, shes already my queen.
Thats a beautiful story Ken B that made my soul happy
I hope ill find someone like that one day
@@keaton06 never give up, be humble, patient, when you expect it the least....that's when it happens. Protect yourself but dont be afraid to open new doors. It may be there you find what you want and need
As someone with extreme social anxiety this song always hit me hard since the first time i heard it on the radio. So many times i wanted to tell someone how i felt but i ended up letting them walk away due to the fear of rejection. Now I've come to realize the pain of rejection is nothing compared to the pain of wondering every day about what could have been.
I wonder all the time what could've been with those 9 or maybe 10 I could've had, but I already knew how that would've gone.
Last sentence is the most truthful thing ever stated. It’s such a shame most guys won’t realize that until it’s far too late to make a difference in their lives
Honestly same I hope you find happiness
I'm going through that right now. I need to figure myself out lmao
@@pkzipz4191 oh wow I'm so sorry hope you can figure it out
Nobody will see this but don’t matter. My sisters best friend came over for years and finally i asked her out. 15 years later we have 2 kids. She has kept me alive thru my crazy years and been the rock of my life. I feel the most blessed a guy could be.
Congrats bro, hope it's still going strong 2 years later.
@@erwinthedodo9205 thanks brotha I appreciate that. we have been blessed the last 2 years, all the best to you as well!
How wonderful!
Congrats bro 💯
Bruh the way u feel about her🥹 blessings 🙏🏼 one day I’ll feel like this for someone 😭
Holy cow! For the time I have listened to Zac Brown, I never paid enough attention to realize Alan Jackson was singing in here too. These two are a perfect match for singing together.
“You might fall down on your face, roll the dice and have some faith.”
Those words have always stook with me.
Hell what is the worst that could happen? Being scared or worried dont do shit.
Same
Much like 'bicycleopedia' my brain is engaged in a vicious battle with itself frying to determine whether or not 'stook' is a word.
I'm sorry. It's late. Have a lovely day...
Actually a moment of silence
"when your heart won't tell your mind to tell your mouth what it should say"......
This song is beautiful. You can see the admiration for the legend that is Alan Jackson in his eyes. Perfect way to bring him into this song
“wise man next to me did say, about the one that walked away”
“son I missed my chance”
wooo so amazing!
I remember jamming to this song as a kid. I guess it’s one of those things where you never fully understand what it meant until you get older and it happens to you.
yes so true me and my girlfriend broke up yesterday and now I know the real meaning of the song
@@farmallguy-hd4zs yup
Preach! It just happened to me
Alan is still the man . Country needs to get back to the standard it used to be at
Alan is the only concert I haven't seen of the older singers! I need to see him so so much! Love him!
Amen!
You got that right James!!!!!
Now it's all about whiskey in the bed of a truck. No real story line. George and Alan gave us the country that was good.
@@rhondaboncutter5812 I just went to him on Saturday very good concert
I went to a concert for Zac Brown on September 23rd, 2022 and when I heard this song me and my buddies were the loudest ones singing this song. This song will always be in my heart. Thanks Zac. Your music is a masterpiece of life.
Alan's voice is incredibly perfect for this song. It's like when Merle Haggard comes in on "Pancho and Lefty" or When Cash comes in on "The Highwayman." Can't explain it, it just works flawlessly!
I had a friend who i liked for 3 years and never had the courage to ask her out entill I heard this song the next day I asked her out and she said yes

My best friend in the world recommended this song to me today and I'm getting goosebumps just listening. This is the most beautiful thing I've heard this year. Thank you so much, Shelley. I love you. ❤
Most guys can relate to this song since we all at one point have been in this situation
I went through this all of my life. That's why this is my favorite country song.
Going through it right now.
Kicking myself in the ass currently for this.
I can 100 percent relate
Shit kick myself in the ass cause I was about to late this time
I was 22 years old and I never knew what quite to say until one day in college this beautiful girl walked into the room. I told my best friend at the time to move over and I said to this girl, "I've been saving you a seat." She smiled and sat down next to me. That was 24 years ago and now I get to kiss her every morning. At some point you will know what to say.
That's amazing I wish that could happen to me but n my future..... 🙂

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO HEAR !!!!! TWO ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ARTISTS IN THE DUET OF MY LIFETIME !!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ALAN AND ZAC FOR THE MEMORY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Alan Jackson come in on this song, it sends it through the roof. In my opinion, this was the last great country radio hit. It has really, really gone downhill from this...
kingjosesmith true, but have tried listening to newer guys like Riley Green?
kingjosesmith 1:43
Rival Sports yeah also like combs new album (lots of steel), Jon Pardi is great, Cody Johnson, Justin Moore’s new album is worth a listen, Scotty McCreery (especially his last album), Eric church, Stapleton’s music is a gem
Just to name a few
Ben Dover dude I love Stapleton
Man that fiddle line just does it ever time and the vocal harmonies very kool....God what a great song
There were so many beautiful girls who did this to me, I did not have the guts, when I got older, I put my vulnerabilities in front of a girl I wanted 10 years, she smiled said I had changed, and she is with me now
Alan Jackson is the coolest choice ever for this song! Looks like such a relaxed, serious conversation when its actually "just for a song"....lol
without alan jackson it wouldnt be complete honestly.
james white Yep, i agree.
I can't believe he's only like 57 actually.... Dammit, i was just listening to one of his songs. "1976" i believe it was called, and he said he was just 17 in '76
... Seems like he almost belongs with the Johnny Cash and Merl Haggard crowd. Damn good country.
Awesome job 💞
Agreed!
it says "wise" not old... and i've seen alan do this song in concert and hes soooo good
i'm not a big country music fan I actually listen to a lot of hip hop but I can,t get enough of this song. It's one of the best country songs I've ever heard.
Check out some more ZBB if u haven't already
Agreed I usually listen to strictly gangster rap but zach brown band I honestly don't think I've heard a song they made I didn't like
yea i listen to artists like motley crue to shooter jennings, but this is one of my favorite songs
Agreed! I'm pretty random at music and haven't heard country, and now I realize is not bad, and Zac is pretty good!!!
Great to hear
This song is special to me in January I lost my brother and a week later my girl of years left me. This song got me thru for some reason
Everytime I hear his voice my skin shivers. Forever the best, Alan Jackson.

This song gave me the courage to tell my crush that I like her. It was worth it, she likes me back :) I'm asking her out when I see her in a few days. Anyone who's deciding whether or not they should tell someone if they like them, JUST DO IT!
Cole Slaw that's the ultimate question. Like if you's didn't bang was it actually true love?
Anthony Mancuso to bang or not to bang that's the lifelong question
I love zac brown his songs are heart felt and meaning full

Gabe De Young. Yeah he reminds me a lot of Dale Earnhardt Sr
As a guy who went to a nearly all boys boarding school for high school, this song taught me more about talking to women in college than any other piece of advice I was ever given. Now I’m 30, and still single, but at least I’ve broken a few hearts and had mine broken a few times along the way.
I used to work at a grocery store as a bagger when I was 17 with this girl. I would chat with her, but I never worked up the courage to ask her out. She stopped working there for the summer. I saw her initials on one of the older sign in sheets and figured out her name and messaged her on facebook. Long story short, next year will be 10 years together and 5 years married with 2 kids. I promise i'm by no means courageous. Go after what your heart tells you to, I promise it'll work itself out!
While I'm an eclectic, I've never been the BIGGEST country enthusiast. However, I have been listening to this song my whole life and I have YET to get over that violin solo. Ohhh God it makes my mind drift away

gotta love Alan Jackson 😍 sad you don't hear much from him anymore
Mikaila Neil He had an album come out in 2015 called Angels and Alcohol. Awesome album, better than any of the crap they call country these days
Nx Zuzu Much better than Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, fake ass country. This is real, Zac Brown Band sound like old school country.
you said it
Mikaila Neil :( I know he will always be in my top ten no matter how many years go bye Alan Jackson is a legend and has the best country voice to me but zac brown band is my number favorite has been for over a decade now there songs never get old
Mikaila Neil he puts out music it just never makes it on the radio
Two great Georgia singers together in a song!? New age country+old school country. Sign me up.
Alan Jackson isn't really old school, a legend, yes, but not old school. Zac Brown isn't really new school. But I get what you're saying.
Almost 24 now. My rambling days are almost over... I miss riding up and down the coast in my 99 wrangler, puffing on a fat one singing along to zac brown on all my adventures, always took state roads to wherever I was going for the side adventures they got me into. I'm not the same anymore, neither is zac and his band.
You are one of the greatest singer songwriters. Singing alongside Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffet and likes.
Me stumbling upon this video is god speaking to me. All in time. Really good tune.
This song hits so close to home. Growing up I never knew what to say. Since discovering this song a couple years ago, I let it play in my head as a quick confidence booster for almost anything. After plenty of failures, the words you want will come. My Favorite Song of all time.
one of the greatest harmony performances hands down
I can’t type out what ZBB means to me as far as connecting with my mom whom passed 10 yrs. ago was like. It was magical and amazing !!! But I remember when this song came out, I’d wrested control of our music away from her one hardcore chore day and as soon as she heard the harmonizing on this she was so excited. She said, “oh I know who this is!” Thank you guys for giving me the best last years I had with her. 💕💕💕 she loved ZBB!! And both of my parents grew up on outlaw country and I found 90’s country as a kid and got them into it thanks to Alan Jackson, so I cry happy tears when I hear this song!
so sorry about that dear , its not easy to loose a love one , may her soul continue to rest in peace 🕊
We may not all have the courage to take a few chances here and there but at the end of the day we only have one go at life and make it what you will while living it to the fullest. But in full to me at least it is better to rope the win and take a chance. This doesn't just apply for relationships' but for anything in your life. This song brings back memories I was 8 when this came out and my grandpa always played this song when my brothers and I were in the car
I was hanging out with some buddies my freshman year of highschool, skipping class in the last couple weeks of school like boys do. I was listening to music and this song comes on, at the same time My friend checked his phone and told us to walk with him down to the lunch room. (There were benches in the hallway) so i ended up being the only one to follow him and as I sat down I realized there was this beautiful girl sitting at the bench across from me doing school work. I’m normally a very kept to myself person and this song made me find the courage to talk to her and we hit it off. I got her number and her heart on the same day and we have been together ever since.
