I grew up in south Tampa from the late 50’s a few houses from Tampa Bay. We didn’t have all the fancy parks. We were forced to entertain ourselves. Swimming in the bay unsupervised. Fishing or hunting. Finding a fallen palm trunk to make a boat and use fronds for a paddle. The largest building in downtown was the old Floridian hotel. Our small area was known as Rattlesnake Fl..Gandy/Westshore. Tampa has come a long way in my 65 years. Good & Bad!
Lol not sure what that means but ok! Lol St Pete downtown, historic districts and beaches are great. Def have some videos coming soon covering that info also

Awesome video! Thank you so much!! My husband and I are torn between moving to Tampa or Raleigh (from NOLA)...Not so stoked about potentially still dealing with hurricanes, lol. Kind of random...but do you happen to know of any awesome large / diverse churches for a family in the Tampa area?
Yes there are a wide variety of churches from catholic to non denominational to you name it. Some with a pretty big following also. While Tampa is in Florida and we have had some close calls, do a tad of research but Tampa is pretty sheltered from hurricanes the way we are tucked in. At least from direct hits which is the worst. Wouldn’t be surprised if that riverwalk crowd spreads over there soon. Just saying. There is a lot going on in the area… million dollar homes around the corner

@@TampaFloridaLiving I’ve never floated the river with my kids just me and my friends, I usually stick to the park with my kids. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been down the river so a lot could have changed in the past 5 years but I definitely enjoy having a few drinks while floating.
