- Britain's biggest prison, HMP Parc, runs a ground-breaking reform programme reinforcing inmates' links with their children to prevent re-offending. The man who runs it says he's trying to "turn on the empathy valve", and it seems it might be working. Channel 4 News has been given unprecedented access. #dadsinprison.

I think it's cute how they use puppies to search the kids instead of adult dogs
Sabrina Rochell the big dogs could be very dangerous to them considering their hieght
My dad have a farm and we have a farm dog, there are around 10 of them eating a new born baby cow and a mother cow in a night. When they go out to check they thought it may be a coyotes or wolf until they check a cam 😂 so they never let either of my cousin or sibling hanging out with the doggies in the farm anymore😂
Prisoners should face their crimes for good or bad
This man isn't even dangerous as far as I can tell and he's serving 12 years? Wow...
And murderers get as little as a quarter of that
I havent seen my dad for 3 and a half years. I'm so excited for him to come back.
Hi this is after 2 years.Just wanna know.Did he come out ??✌️
Teach this to my dad that's going to jail for 8 years. 😪
Pet Vlogs I'm so sorry darlin, it's so difficult when that happens for the children, you shouldn't have to suffer for another's crime, more should be done for prisoners and their families so they can have regular access to one another, children shouldn't be punished for their parents crime, I do believe more parents wouldn't reoffend if they had regular access because they see what they are missing out on, and they are because being a parent is amazing, I hope your dad uses his time to better himself, if not for himself do it for you xx
I am probably never gonna see my dad again XD
Your dad has 5 more years
This is an excellent program.
I know they should make it much more wide spread
I go to that prison to see my dad
sorry😢
Is his sentence over?
Hope u ok! And hope he'll be home soon
I think his sentence is over now
It must be hard for the children they must be picked on at school.
My dad went to jail but he has not come back becuse he has to stay in is home state for a few more months and I have not seen home for about 10 months. I don't tell anyone because I don't want to be picked on.
Ashley and Josi I'm so sorry, hope your dad managed to come home and stay home with you, you shouldn't be ashamed or worried you didn't commit the crime, you shouldn't have to almost do the time, children shouldn't have to suffer, xx
my dad is in and out of prison and I've never seen him, but I'm very open about it with friends, and I make jokes about it to help heal
My whole family is in prison and they make fun of me sometimes once one of the kids in my neighborhood could not go in my house cause her parents said they didn't like it and I couldn't come into there's but I don't care some of them are nice about it it's actually more likely now a lot of my friends have friends or even family in jail
I think it’s great that they can still have family impact them instead of the wrong impact that we all know comes from inside the prisons. This can help both the ones inside the prison walls and the family outside that usually feel like they are going at life alone.
These are such great program for the children
Having a criminal record makes it so hard to find a job. It's hard enough to find a job that can support a family, even if you have no criminal record
My dad deffo needs to be taught this it he has been in and out so much
My dads in prison for 18 years, 13 done and 5 to go
I’ll come back in 4 years to congratulate you on his sentence ending.
Honestly I have no idea what to put. He should get home leaves 2021-2023 time and full release 2025 ish. Thank you so much

coblyfanfic my dad just went to jail last week and it was even sadder that i was actually there to witnesses that cause i was there 😢
That is sad i hope he changes for you
If they do it for mother’s with babies behind bars why not fathers behind bars with their babies and sometimes these people think the only way to not go back to their old ways is to stay in jail
Hi i live south africa why I love what you doing my husband in fr 19 yrs in prison I want hme bt what u doing south africa bcoz our prison is full ilhaam western cape
It's definitely better for the children to see there father's than not to it's not about the grown-ups
Wow! This would Never! Never! Never! Never happen in the USA ! Has anyone ever seen Rikers Island? Even in minimum security prisons they would never take you to somebody’s dorm room, They would make you take mini parenting classes and at the most they would let The prisoner see their family maybe once a year and that’s it.
Camera man rubs the salt into the wound

What do you mean?
The title implies that children have an influence on their parent's crime. Why put that responsibility on a child? A relationship and especially a strong one is complimentary one. Incarcerated parents cannot give as much. The children will then feel the need to give more to compensate. Causing them to blame themself. Imaging feeling like you were not worth not going to prison for? Apples and oranges. A parent child relationship should not have crime forced between it or used as glue.
When does he get out ?
