    What a very informative video! I'm so thankful for this. I bought all of the parts probably 3 years ago at least and never felt confident enough to actually put the drip system in. So this is super helpful.

    I Googled for months before starting my own drip irrigation and I did not find a single video that was as good as this one. Wonderful video!!!!

    This was so helpful! Setting up drip for my veggie garden and one of my shade beds is next on my list. It's a little overwhelming, but your very clear demonstration and explanation of everything will be a continued resource for me - thank you!

    Thank you for being so thorough in your explanations, I really appreciate it❣I also like that you spray painted the white PVC pipes.
    If it's not too much trouble, I would like to know more about the front yard to see how a "professional" did the installation as I live in an HOA neighborhood. Thank you, again from SATX, now Zone 9a(🥵caliente)

      So glad you enjoyed the information. The professional installation is buried underground so we're not able to take a look. Sorry

    I'd love to see how the lawn watering is installed. I have drip in all my flower beds.

      It's installed with the same black drip hose without the holes. Then add the sprinkler head where you need them. We had enough pressure for 3 sprinkler heads per zone.

    Wow! You have enough PRESSURE to go to all beds PLUS to sprinkler heads? Or do you isolate (alone) when your sprinklers go off? Thank you for this detailed instructions!

    Beautiful gardens and great description for the drip irrigation. I do have a question on the “river bed” in the back. My backyard also is in a slope and there’s a natural water path. I was thinking about a similar river bed, but what do you have at the end? A low area to collect or is it routed off the property?

      You could do both! At this time, my little dry creek heads to the back of the property to a green belt.

    I like the tutorial you gave. Question- when you leave the water on all the time on your none watering days what happens to the water?😮

    • @therockyhillgardener
      @therockyhillgardener  3 месяца назад

      The water won't come on. There is water in the distribution hose, (the hose with no holes) and the timer causes the water to flow on to the hose with the drip holes. And the timer shuts it off too. If your batteries run out, then no water every goes on, until you change the batteries.

    Do your staples rust overtime? I’m in zone 5 and my staples constantly rust and weaken.

    Any problems with freezing?

      We drain them before the freezes. There is an end cap that easily screws off for drainage.
