On this episode I head into Shinjuku to do some night street photography and take out the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 and the Fuji XH-1 to see how well they perform in low light as a street photo camera set up. Does the 130mm field of view work as a street shooter lens? How good is the auto focus? I take a look at some of these questions during my POV street walk around the city.

Thanks Craig, I actually really liked using it, more so than the 50-140, I think me and zoom lenses don’t really get along haha. I was really pleased with the results and will certainly be taking it out some more in the future

Sick shots as always Jonny. Does look to be a bargain that lens. Was gonna get the 23, but found a used Fuji 23 1.4 for 300 euros.. might give this a go though, cheers!

Great pictures 💯.. how do you get so much crisp? This is something I can’t ever figure out. Does it have to do with lighting ?
amazing result do u shoot on shutter priority ? if not what are you using i notice the iso changing but the shutter remain 1/250s ..thanks

Like the flow of the video and the results. Do you ever just back button focus with manual adjustment, can work wonders in low light when lenses are struggling. Should get the best of both worlds and far less focus ring travel when getting critical focus.
Hi, I think this lens is awesome! I used in the narrow street of Venice, you can see how it perform on my channel! However for the price it's a great value!
Hey Jonny, how you edit your photos? Are you using film simulation recipe or just a raw file then you edit on your lightroom?
Shot at 7:17 is lovely. However I wonder if 90mm f2 performs better... Please comment if you experienced.
I haven’t used it but I’m sure it will be seeing as it’s considered by many to be one of Fuji’s finest lenses. I nearly bought it but ended up getting the viltrox and the mitakon instead for cheaper and have been very happy

Just a quick question, at 3:12, the first picture that was shown, it seems like at f1.8 there’s some quite strong vignette going on. Was this done intentionally on post or was it because of the lens?

Did you run in the same problem in the shots that failed? If so what kind of problem was it? And do you think the could get a different effect with the lens on the X-pro 3 body?
It was a hunting issue, I will try it out with either the xt3 or xpro 3 soon and see how it performs.

I hope you didn't use manual focusing on fujifilm literally - if you find autofocus slow and\or unreliable, just use zone focusing. fujifilm has af+mf feature which helps a lot.
Yes I tend to use zone focusing when shooting street but I wanted to try out the autofocus on the lens to see how well it handled it in this situation

Hi there, the video is recorded on a GoPro hero 7 attached to the hot show of my camera. It’s not the best quality but works
