Nice bike! But a bit curious about the tyre choice mmm, isn't Addix soft grip MM/HD tyres very aggressive for the Spark?

Could you believe I took the base model of this bike down the whole enchilada in Moab? And I did it in a decent time, too. Looking back on it I am amazed that I didn’t destroy that bike or myself 😂 shoutout to rim cycling that let us rent bikes unlike poison spider

Looks like the new SLX did indeed get the ceramic pistons!
All SLX had ceramic pistons , even old 675 models. Had those brakes and they had ceramic pistons, only deore and lower have metallic or not ceramic.

Where did you get the wrap for the cables Scotty? I've been looking for this stuff for ages but can only find it in short lengths like a couple of inches, I mind back in the 80's you could get it long enough to cover the entire length of your brake cables, it came in all sorts of colours too !

Stem and bar - which models and size?
This is the PRO Tharsis stuff!
Scotty Laughland and what is the length of stem? Sparks in Large have 70 mm, which is too long, need to fit shorter.

Why hans damf and macic marry on a spark?
I’ve built the Spark to be more ‘trail’ orientated and I’d prefer to have the extra grip over a faster rolling tyre. It’s amazing how a simple change like tyres completely changes how the bike handles.
