  • Is your bench press uneven on one arm compared to the other?
    Rarely is this due to an actual imbalance in strength from one side compared to the other. Normally the culprit is a lack of stability somewhere in the upper extremity, typically the shoulder joint.
    The banded dumbbell press is an awesome drill to enhance shoulder stability. It helps to activate the dynamic stabilizers of the shoulder complex.
    Drive your wrists out to create tension on the loop band and then utilize a very slow tempo throughout the press movement. You can play around with the elbow angle for a more close grip or wide grip bench variation.
