I completely agree with number one. Piccolo and Vegeta really changed over the series. Even Vegeta really changed. He especially changed in Super. I mean he stayed home and turned down training and a spot in the tournament of power. He does this so he can stay by his wife while she is pregnant with their daughter. We all know Goku would never do that.

Goku actually is one of my least favourite characters in all of DBZ. He is just such an oblivious idiot lacking any resemblence of an character arc. They teased one as he transitioned from kid to teen Goku, but that was shot down pretty quickly in dbz. In DBZ he seemed even more stupid as in the original series. I much prefer Vegeta or Piccolo as characters. I also loved the "What if Vegeta was sent to earth instead of Goku". Made a much more interesting story, especially Kakarott as a villain who isn't really a villain but leading the resistance against Freezer etc. You should check it out, it's amazing.
Mewtwo's character arc was actually *very* different in the Japanese version. For example, he never said anything about destroying humanity. Some of the things in the movie were simply considered too mature for Western children, so Mewtwo was changed into a more typical villain character in the dub. Then again, Mewtwo's final realization about the purpose of life was done much better in the dub, so there's that to consider as well.
The two big things I noticed is the section with young Mewtwo and the other clones. Soo sweet, but sad. The other one being the music in the Dub is better. You know that part at the begining of the movie where it's "I want to live in a Pokemon world," way more generic in the sub. The music doesn't even have vocals there.

Gogo Yugirl to be fair Cure Beat and Cure Amour could’ve been on the list too. There’s quite a few Cures who went from evil to good. I will agree Passion had the best arc though.
Practically every season has a baddie that goes good. Yeah not all become Cures but there's at least one villain that makes a turn heel. Or two in cases like KiraKira and Splash Star.

We have a perfectly good Mewtwo already who would have made for a great mentor for the Genecects, so why did they just casually pull a new one out of their butts? They didn't even give her her own unique backstory or even her own personality. She was just a female version of the character we already knew, only with a magic rock that lets her power up all on her own. Also I have no idea why Ash didn't question why this new Mewtwo sounded different. He knows Mewtwo exists after the Mewtwo Returns so he knows dam well what he should sound like. Than again, Ash is an idiot even after all this time. I would, however, like to see the two Mewtwos meet at some point in the franchise. I've dreamed of something like this since I was very little. My favorite lonely boy deserves to have a friend that truly understands the struggles he's faced.
Probably new producers and team working on the movies and its years apart it seems with legendarys ash doesn't really remembers them with celebi the movies with the most continuity is palkia, dialgi, garitina , and arceus. Every generation ash gets reset. With people getting replaced other the years continuity will get lost.

And the combined power of her and the prince help defeat Drosselmire (the dude from the nutcracker) with fakir to fix the story land they come from. remember the world of princess tutu is an amalgamation of fantasy stories and reality with duck being written as a magical girl.
Fakir wasn't a villain though. He was trying to protect Mytho from the raven the whole time, he just didn't trust Duck/Princess Tutu. There was never malicious intent on his part nor did he work with the main villain. Rue was actively helping the Raven/Drosselmire.
You got the thing about Rin being attacked by Koga's wolves,as it was other humans that were beating her for stealing food for Sessomoru eventually getting her beaten to death
Always a fan of these lists! Also Anubis was the beast character on Ronin Warriors. It was my first anime since it was on before my sisters first anime, Sailor Moon.
Although he did become a little more willing to help Yugi and the gang it was more for his own benefit. He is still egotistical and doesn't care for many people. He is still cold and closed off (although some may argue not as much) at the end.
Of course! Piccalo and Geetz would take the # 1 spot, they are the pinnacle of Naughty to Nice!!! A part of me expects Shuu Tsukiyama from Tokyo Ghoul to part of the list. He started out as a Ghoul out to get Kaneki as his next meal,develops a sick obsession with him along the way...only for him to be an ally of his (both Kaneki's 6th Ward group and in Goat) and a close friend...
Unfortunately, Tsukiyama is written terribly in the anime since they skipped all his character development from the Manga, his conversion seems to random in the anime, especially since they changed what happens.

Where anime in the West does just mean “Japanese animation” in Japan, it means exactly what the word “animation” means. This means that, while spongebob and avatar would count as animes in Japan, but not in the West, the same could be said of Wallace and Grommit and Clementine. Because claymation is included as part of the definition of animation. So it’s just semantics really. We can be sticklers in the West and continue to define it uniquely or just be more like Japan and call it all anime.

Sesshomaru was always my favorite. Rin helped him turn from evil to neutral, but I think it was falling in love with and then seeing Kagura die, that really made his heart melt. Great list Robyn and Happy New Year! Vegeta #1!
That was a pretty fun idea for a list, with some solid choices. Now, I am frankly not surprised that Fairy Tail got short-shrifted, but I honestly thought briefly when I saw Gajeel kick off the honorable mentions that we'd see a riff on the series' (in)famous tendency to rehabilitate EVERYONE. Gajeel, Juvia, Lyon and co., Hoteye... In all honesty, though, the trio of Crime Sociere--Jellal, Meldy, and Ultear--really deserve a spot on this list. One more that comes to mind: Mahou Sensei Negima's Evangeline A.K. McDowell. Anyway, as always, I enjoyed the video, and keep up the good work!
What about Grandis Granva, Sanson, and Hanson from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water? They literally start out as the show's main villains and through their adventures become heroes. Maybe not good enough for the list, but they at least deserve an honorable mention.
Nagato/Pain is in a whole other league, but Gajeel is definitely great in his own right. Naruto, despite its flaws, has better writing than FT on average.
Gajeel was just a dick before. One defeat and he turns good. Nagato had an entire arc dedicated to him as Pein. So as much as i like Gajeel, Nagato and Konan deserve the spot more
In all seriousness I know I can't be the only one that finds it crazy that Piccolo and Vegeta the two characters that you know 100% would have fight each other during the Saiyan , Frieza and maybe the Android saga never fought each other. That was a missed opportunity Toriyama and Toei a missed opportunity lol.
At any point in time Vegeta would have dickslapped Piccolo. I love Piccolo more than I love Vegeta. But Vegeta always was stronger than Piccolo. Btw Piccolo best anime stepfather of all time.
Yeah, Greed is awesome... please don't take that statement out of context. Greed and Asura from Asura's Wrath have shown me that, out of the Seven Deadly Sins, Greed and Wrath have the most potential for good. Maybe that's why, in my own set of evil characters created from the Eight Deadly Sins, the two created from Wrath and Greed are the nicest/most reasonable. From Greed was borne Rana, a kitsune who uses her telepathic powers to pose as a genie and seemingly grant the wishes of/slowly and painfully punish those who wish for selfish things but legitimately tries to help those that show selflessness. From Wrath was borne Ursa, who after going through her own redemptive arc, goes from "I'm going to literally set the world on fire because people suck so fuck 'em" to "What if the Punisher had the powers of a flaming Freddy Krueger?" while otherwise living life pretending to be a human and getting along pretty well.

I am starting to think sailor Moon is a Yuri anime that got ton down so kids didn't notice they were just watching a show about magical lesbians turning evil girls into lesbians as well with kindness and stuff that would explain why I was never really interested in that anime I have enough lesbians living in my house as it is I have nothing against lesbians its just gotten really boring to me I can't go into any fandom with female leads without finding 25% or 50% of the fan art being lesbian related I use to love animes like that but after a few years it started boring me and considering how far fans go with there lesbian ships it kinda makes shows and animes less enjoyable in my opinion

Fakir wasn't a villain though. He was trying to protect Mytho from the raven the whole time, he just didn't trust Duck/Princess Tutu. There was never malicious intent on his part nor did he work with the main villain. Rue was actively helping the Raven/Drosselmire.

You got the thing about Rin being attacked by Koga's wolves,as it was other humans that were beating her for stealing food for Sessomoru eventually getting her beaten to death
But she still got mauled by wolves. I rewatched and she was beaten for stealing then wolves went after her.

A part of me expects Shuu Tsukiyama from Tokyo Ghoul to part of the list.
He started out as a Ghoul out to get Kaneki as his next meal,develops a sick obsession with him along the way...only for him to be an ally of his (both Kaneki's 6th Ward group and in Goat) and a close friend...
Unfortunately, Tsukiyama is written terribly in the anime since they skipped all his character development from the Manga, his conversion seems to random in the anime, especially since they changed what happens.

For the smart people out there who accept Avatar: The Last Airbender as anime, we know who has the best redemption arc in anime. That's right, Zuko has the best redemption arc.

Sorry, its a western cartoon thats anime-esque. It draws inspiration from anime for the style and tone but was created specifically for a western audience. Therefore, its not an anime

tcrpgfan BOOM HEADSHOT! The west and Japan define anime as something different entirely. Where anime in the West does just mean “Japanese animation” in Japan, it means exactly what the word “animation” means. This means that, while spongebob and avatar would count as animes in Japan, but not in the West, the same could be said of Wallace and Grommit and Clementine. Because claymation is included as part of the definition of animation. So it’s just semantics really. We can be sticklers in the West and continue to define it uniquely or just be more like Japan and call it all anime.

Sesshomaru was always my favorite. Rin helped him turn from evil to neutral, but I think it was falling in love with and then seeing Kagura die, that really made his heart melt. Great list Robyn and Happy New Year! Vegeta #1!

That was a pretty fun idea for a list, with some solid choices. Now, I am frankly not surprised that Fairy Tail got short-shrifted, but I honestly thought briefly when I saw Gajeel kick off the honorable mentions that we'd see a riff on the series' (in)famous tendency to rehabilitate EVERYONE. Gajeel, Juvia, Lyon and co., Hoteye... In all honesty, though, the trio of Crime Sociere--Jellal, Meldy, and Ultear--really deserve a spot on this list. One more that comes to mind: Mahou Sensei Negima's Evangeline A.K. McDowell. Anyway, as always, I enjoyed the video, and keep up the good work!
What about Grandis Granva, Sanson, and Hanson from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water? They literally start out as the show's main villains and through their adventures become heroes. Maybe not good enough for the list, but they at least deserve an honorable mention.

I don't care about any of the anime series
Nagato/Pain is in a whole other league, but Gajeel is definitely great in his own right. Naruto, despite its flaws, has better writing than FT on average.
Gajeel was just a dick before. One defeat and he turns good. Nagato had an entire arc dedicated to him as Pein. So as much as i like Gajeel, Nagato and Konan deserve the spot more
Gajeel was a pretty big dick, but the point is valid. Personally, I do think Fairy Tail needed some love, and Jellal and Ultear are my top picks.

In all seriousness I know I can't be the only one that finds it crazy that Piccolo and Vegeta the two characters that you know 100% would have fight each other during the Saiyan , Frieza and maybe the Android saga never fought each other. That was a missed opportunity Toriyama and Toei a missed opportunity lol.
At any point in time Vegeta would have dickslapped Piccolo. I love Piccolo more than I love Vegeta. But Vegeta always was stronger than Piccolo.

Greed and Asura from Asura's Wrath have shown me that, out of the Seven Deadly Sins, Greed and Wrath have the most potential for good. Maybe that's why, in my own set of evil characters created from the Eight Deadly Sins, the two created from Wrath and Greed are the nicest/most reasonable.
From Greed was borne Rana, a kitsune who uses her telepathic powers to pose as a genie and seemingly grant the wishes of/slowly and painfully punish those who wish for selfish things but legitimately tries to help those that show selflessness. From Wrath was borne Ursa, who after going through her own redemptive arc, goes from "I'm going to literally set the world on fire because people suck so fuck 'em" to "What if the Punisher had the powers of a flaming Freddy Krueger?" while otherwise living life pretending to be a human and getting along pretty well.

I am starting to think sailor Moon is a Yuri anime that got ton down so kids didn't notice they were just watching a show about magical lesbians turning evil girls into lesbians as well with kindness and stuff that would explain why I was never really interested in that anime I have enough lesbians living in my house as it is I have nothing against lesbians its just gotten really boring to me I can't go into any fandom with female leads without finding 25% or 50% of the fan art being lesbian related I use to love animes like that but after a few years it started boring me and considering how far fans go with there lesbian ships it kinda makes shows and animes less enjoyable in my opinion
