There is not much on the internet - indeed in life - as beautiful as a new baby. Thank you for sharing as much of him (and later perhaps as little) as feels right to you. This is the nicest thing I've seen on RUclips for ages.
Omg Christine I'm not even half way through the video and I'm in tears 🥺 I've been thinking about you and Kalle a lot this year. I can't wait to finish the rest of the video
What a lucky little boy , a beautiful strong , deeply insightful mother and a strong , dependable , loving father. You will help a lot of women with your openness and bravery. Thank you for sharing your experience. Beautiful baby ❤
✊🏽🍀🙏💞 YOU are a TRUE HERO 💯 TO have been so present, aware & awesome during & being do PRESENT THROUGHOUT is a Testament to the STRENGTH, Compassion & Endurance you have❤
Thank you Christine for sharing your very precious journey. Your son August is so beautiful and you are lovely parents. We change so much and from my experience it just gets better. To embrace your body is magnificent as this really does take the aesthetic part of us to a selfless place. Having a partner who supports this and says things like ‘your stomach is so pretty’ is wonderful. Kalle is amazing. We women go through so much and need a strong loving partner. You look so beautiful as always, and have so much grace. Now a grandmother of 5 and watching my 5 sons is an absolute blessing. The changes to the crone as they call it is the most incredible time. The wisdom and love is beyond belief. You have so much to enjoy and so much to look forward to. Sending you all so many blessings. ❤❤❤
Congratulations on your son!!!!! A child opens your heart, and your heart seems to grow with every day you are with your child. Best wishes to you all!!!
I'm so happy to see you as a mom after your hard times! And what a happy, proud and grateful mom you are! Congratulations, you do an amazing job! You look beautiful, you are shining more than I've ever seen you in your videos before. Thanks for the reminder how you think about motherhood and how you deal with it at the moment. I thought the same when I became a mother for the first time and while life is going on, I forgot so much and negative habits and thoughts found a way into my life again quietly. There will be many opinions about motherhood. Stay strong, go and find your own way, I'm sure you'll do. You know best about what your family need and which path fits.
Christine, what a beautiful video and so glad to see you back here. Thank you for sharing your journey into motherhood, or matresence as they call it! So lifechanging.
Christine!!! 🤩I'm just now getting a chance to watch your video and I've watched Kalle's video the other night... and I love the perspective that both of you have given! Becoming a mother for the first time is most definitely an exciting, exhausting, and surreal experience and it is true that once a baby is born, so is a mother. 💓I am 53 and have three grown children and now three grandchildren and I have to say that you and Kalle seem like y'all are doing such a great job so far! And I love his name! 🥰 You two are going to be such awesome influences for your little baby boy! And I can't wait to continue to follow you, Kalle, and little August, if you allow it... 💖And even if you decide to not show little August in your vids, that's fine, too! It's most definitely your decision and your true fans respect that 💗 Can't wait until your next video!!!
Well done you - you are an amazing woman and mother. My eldest is 30 and youngest of 4 is 18 and I was like you and really put much research into a natural parenting way which was in line with my instincts and all I can say is that I would not do anything differently, co-sleeping makes life so much easier - as does going with nature, with my eldest I started with the conventional way for a couple of months due to grandparent pressure but it was so exhausting so I found the courage to go with what I felt was right and those moments go so quickly and they grow up so fast that to absorb every moment and give what each one needed was such a journey of love and growth and a huge gift for all of us. I agree with everything you express in your Q and A - life as a parent is a wonderful journey. Much love.
Dear Christine, I loved seeing this video and how you are so enjoying early mother hood. It is truly a magical time and I so agree with so much you say here about it. Keep enjoying your precious time with August. Sending you so much love❤ Katrina
Beautiful video! Pleased to meet you, August, so happy that Mom and Dad chose to introduce you to us. And some day in the future you'll have here de best gift ever: your Mom's love for you cried out to the world 🩵
Hello Christine :) Huge congratulations! Your son is so cute and beautiful ❤And you´re such a loving mother. Glad to see you happy and fulfilled. Honestly, I admire you for how strong you are. Can´t imagine being in labour for four days. I gave birth to my baby girl this year, also on April 18. But I had (quite) an easy labour - contractions began at 5 pm, they became very strong within an hour and I gave birth at 9 pm. Very quick and very painful. But my baby girl is worth every second of it 🙂 It´s also wonderful that you´re sharing your thoughts about accepting your body and how motherhood changed you. I think it can help a lot of women. Your whole journey does 🧡 Wishing the best to your whole family!
Christine, I’m so happy for you! August is beautiful and super cute and you & Kalle are glowing! ❤️ Congratulations and wishing you all the happiness in the world. 🤗🥰
One minute in and I'm already deeply touched. I know I won't be able to watch the full video now, but want to send you and Kalle a warm congratulations already. My heart beats for you.
I was in tears this whole video, thank you for being so generous in sharing your journey with us, it brings so much to joy. Wishing your beautiful new family all the very best Christine & Kalle! xx
What a wonderful joy to become a Mom! Your birth journey was beautiful even with some of the struggles it was your to tell and cherish even the hardest parts. Now you are a little family and your love for each other will always be a part of your journey ♥️
Such a beautiful and touching vide♥️♥️♥️Christine….you are a wonderful mother and God has given you that gift. You don’t need any advice because I can see you are a natural. I’m happy you are taking one day at a time and not in a hurry. August is a beautiful boy, thank you for letting us see him, I really enjoyed watching him. A perfect baby boy!! Also, Kalle is so proud of him and such a great Father as well as your sweet dogs. GOD BLESS THIS BEAUTIFUL AND BLESSED FAMILY….i cried also watching this video. Sending love and prayers🙏♥️😇
You are invincible now after going through that! 💚 I was in tears watching this, you are so resilient and it's so inspiring. Never forget how incredible you are. Congratulations on having such a strong and healthy boy ❤
What an uplifting video. You have managed to turn around a hard birth story into something so positive. August is such a lovely baby. Accepting the changes our bodies go through isn't easy, especially post partum, yet you are just shining. ❤
Oh Christine. You did amazing. You both did amazing. You’re such an amazing woman. You guys are without a doubt amazing parents. Sending love and so many blessings.
Thank you so much for this video. For the first time I see a happy, shining mother, your smile make me cry (in a good sense). I wish your story will inspire many girls not to afraid to be a mother, because I am a one of this girls who afraid of to be a mum, but your video inspired me a lot 🙏 Thank you again, and I am waiting for the next one 🌷
I have missed your beautiful videos! Welcome back, and congratations to you and Kalle. It is so wonderful to see the joy in your faces as new parents. Sending love!
It is so refreshing to hear you talk about the wonderful blessing being a mother. I am 63 now and raised 4 children. I loved motherhood! But I feel like it is not value the way it was in my grandmothers’ generation.
What a beautiful video! Thank you for sharing with us! We also did the nurturing method and did co sleeping with our child…..our experience has been drastically different than all of our friends and family who did not do this. Our baby years were also very easy with minimal crying. Even now, the difference is quite noticeable in how much more confidence and security there is in comparison to other 4 year olds. Also, our child transitioned into her own bed in our room, on her own, with no fight, crying, or fuss, because it was her idea and she was ready right around 3. Now, at four she is excited about having her own room next to ours. And for those who wonder about your relationship with your partner\spouse, you find fun new ways to have time together and the new adventure of being a family was the best experience for my husband and I, even with the challenges that can come. Just wanted to share some positive encouragement! I was given such a hard time by those around me for our natural approach and many have come to me and apologized since. Trust your instincts and all will work out beautifully ❤
Oh my gosh that was very tough. You and Kalle are extremely respectful people and that will absolutely translate to you all as a family and what you show of your baby. It maybe that he will find these videos the most perfect memories in years to come, but if you choose not to include him then do what’s best for you and Kalle. It’s lovely to see you back and so happy. 🥰
First and foremost, remember that you are incredibly strong. A cesarean delivery is a major surgery, and going through it to bring your child into the world is a testament to your courage, resilience, and love. Speaking from experience-Recovery might feel overwhelming at times, especially with the added demands of caring for a newborn, but each day will bring you closer to feeling like yourself again. Give yourself grace and patience. Healing takes time, and it’s okay if it doesn’t happen overnight. Lean on others for support, rest as much as you can, and celebrate the small milestones in your recovery. Remember that your journey to motherhood is unique, and no path is “better” or “easier” - just different, and yours to own proudly. Most importantly, don’t be hard on yourself. You are not just healing physically but also adjusting to a whole new chapter of life. You’re doing a fantastic job, and your body is stronger than you may realize. Congratulations, mama. ❤
Spot on, as long as you remember parents can't control this little humans journey completely. You are doing such an amazing job intentionally giving your best, and you're so right... it is hard work.
Hi Christine! Many congratulations to you, August is gorgeous! Just wanted to say, I totally agree with you about how little value is given to motherhood, I remember holding my newborn and all anyone was interested in was demanding to know was when I was going back to work, like caring for a baby is some sort of holiday!!! You never get that time back and you will never regret spending it raising your child, so pay no attention to the pressure that comes from others, stand firm and go on instinct, good luck darling! 💜XX
Such a beautiful video of you two becoming parents. Giving birth is such an amazingly wild ride, that none that have not experienced it has no idea. But the journey to parenthood is even a more bumby and wild one. 😘 Watching the birth I started crying, being a mother of four. I know how it is, and every time, it’s different. Take care, be well and may love be in your home. ❤️ Greeting from Finland.
Such a nice video! Amazing! I missed your individual and beautiful way of video making! Keep on doing that stuff, the world needs more of it! Much love from the woods☝🏻
It's so beautiful and healing to finally see a real story of how it is being a mom for the first time and how it can change you internallybut also on the outside. You don't go out of the hospital and look like before. It just takes time to heal and also to "get back in shape" especially after a c-section. I also got stretchmarks and it's such a relief to hear that other woman got it too and that it's totally fine! Unfortunately you see so many pictures on Instagram of bodies that look like they've never given birth. Thank you for your honesty and sharing your story!
I'm giving birth in 2 months from now and there are all these kinds of emotions going through me right now, I also live in the countryside, document my life for RUclips and this little human we got coming...makes me feel all kinds of way but especially "new" and "reborn". Thank you for this video Christine💗
Love your natural look and the glowing motherhood has given you. So beautiful your approach on positive parenting, way to go! Congratulations and welcome August to this amazing planet.
Christine, Thank you for creating this beautiful video and allowing us to witness your pre- and post pregnancy journey. You look absolutely radiant like the sun with all its warmth and goodness. All you went through with Kalle to bring sweet August into the world was awe-inspiring. You are a true Viking warrior princess and your strength and resolve throughout leaves me speechless while shedding some tears. God bless you, Kalle and your adorable bundle of sweetness August, now and for all the years to come. ❤
Absolutely love hearing your voice;so calming. I have kept you and Kalle in my prayers. So happy you and your beautiful son are alright and healthy. God Bless your family.
Beautiful baby & mama! I found that music could be very soothing and/or stimulating for our baby boy. It became very important in his development. I would sing to him, play all kinds of folk music, soothing lullabies and classical music. As he grew, I found and played childrens fun (& silly) songs that he loved. I even played fun music at bath time. Our son was a very happy baby who grew so very fast -- a very healthy, very alert and very inquisitive boy. He became a rapid learner who could read before he was 3 yrs old and was a wiz at jigsaw puzzles. (He graduated university summa cum laude and became an industrial engineer). Babies/toddlers are like little sponges, soaking up al the many sights, sounds and things around them. There are so many ways you can help your baby develop his special abilities and skills. Have fun with little August and he will always appreciate & love his wonderful mother and father. ❤
Dear Christine, I can imagine very well how much effort it may have taken you to share your thoughts and feelings about this on RUclips again, given the reactions you got in between. And I'm glad to see you so happy and healthy again after waiting for you with understanding and patience. And I often asked myself how you were doing. Thank you very much for allowing us to see you and your son August. And the journey continues - step by step and video by video. When I saw Kalle's video, I cried with you. And felt how difficult it must have been. I have already written a few lines for you under his video. By the way, your own hair color suits you perfectly. And you are beautiful as always. It touched me to see you without make-up and completely natural. The look in your eyes showed a whole new world. Your belly was breathtaking - never seen such an enormous baby-belly-bump before. How could you handle even this. You are so, so brave. It is a special pleasure for me to be able to see you again. And I'm incredibly looking forward to your next video. It feels like a dear good friend is back - with her baby. Happy and healthy again. Thank god. Lots of love to you and August (✨️). 🌸🌹🌷🌺🌻🌼🍀🍃🌱💕💗 ✨️ Such a sweet name.
Hi Christine. Congratulations on having your baby son, August. I watched Kalle’s station and saw how you had your baby. He is adorable. All the best to you, Kalle and August. Take Care. 😊
Congratulations to you both! And thanks for sharing all your insights and updates on motherhood. As someone who is thinking a lot about all of that lately this video was really nice to watch. Also so glad to see you are doing good ❤
Oh Christine... Thank you so much for this video. ❤ It is deeply touching. And at the same time so wonderful to feel your motherly strengh through the images and your words. I will be giving birth in three months and your video is giving me hope that no matter what, I will be able to do it. Just like you magical woman. Lots of love to you and your little angel. ❤
Christine, Congratulations and thank you for sharing your son with us. He is gorgeous. Looks wise, he will change quite a bit between now and when he's a little boy, so he has not lost his anonymity. I'm so happy to see the two of you looking healthy & healthy. You and Kalle both took a break from posting, so I was starting to worry til this video.
You are so right Becoming a mom changes you forever My dad told me when I got married something that is so true Once you have a child the love and the worry never ends it is forever ❤
Thank you for the touching video. I am so glad that you are well again and that you can be such a positive mum. You mentioned how important it is for a child to have their parents, especially in the first three years. It pains me so much that our society has gone over to putting children in nursery at the age of one. And that's totally normal. It makes me so sad and I'm so horrified by it. It's good that there are parents like you and Kalle. I wish you all the best. ❤❤❤
I totally understand things you were saying about getting to know more people and trust with birth. It's a balancing act throughout pregnancy. Pregnancy and birth were tough on me as well. Three c sections because of it. I wish you and your family all the good things life has to offer.
💛🙏💙 Thank you for your very personal story, perception and point of view! August can be very happy to have a mother like you are and like you will become! Take care, enjoy this time and the coming months and years. August is very very cute and obviously happy in the forest with you.
I'm so sad that you didn't have an easy birth after all you went through but it was si beautiful to also be part of his first few minutes in a way. All the best wishes to you guys ❤
August is so cute and absolutely adorable. I would LOVE to see him on ALL your blogs and posts, but we respect your final decision in this regard. THANK YOU for sharing your birth journey and AUGUST with us. We LOVE him. Thank you, Jesus 😍! Much love from a male Pensioner from South Africa xxx
The strength and courage it takes to become a mother is unsurpassed, and the male dominated world treats it like a minor aside to all their 'larger' endeavors. Good mothering will heal the world - there's no more powerful thing a human can do than to be a good, loving parent. A baby CANNOT be independent - this is a dangerous falsehood. Strong people grow from loved and nurtured babies. August has been blessed with his parents. And boy is he cute!!!
Congratulations with August and transforming into motherhood. You glow inside out. Thank you for sharing your heart, experience, wisdom and thougts. It feels so nourishing ans healing taking part of your life journey and soul expansion.
A video about your eating habits - yes, please! It is so out of this world to see the sweetnes and the strength being beautifully woven together in one person.
Beautiful vlog! Thank you for sharing. I have also watch Kalle’s video. You both are so amazing. Well done on the whole birthing experience. Congratulations! Welcome to your world, beautiful baby boy!
I definitely agree that breathing can support breathing, however, no labour is equal. being dilated at 4 cm and the accompanying contractions are probably much easier to bear than full dilation or pushing. and as you noticed in Kalle's video, disliking hospitals might or not have been the case for the birth not coming through naturally, and possibly, same thing could have happened during a home birth. the real cause might be much more complex that that, and definitely nothing was your fault.
I didn‘t realise there was such a height difference between you and Kalle - I am only 157 cm(5‘1“) and my husband is very tall. oUr babies were 4-4.5 kg so i remember what it was like to have such a big bump. Our girls are all grown now with children of their own, and while I love being a grandmother and supporting my daughters in their journeys, I think childbirth has become much more complex over the last 30 years and I don‘t envy the pressures on young moms now to get things „right“. Wishing you much joy in motherhood.
I have the greatest respect for you! What a journey, but it sounds like you're so much in tune with your body ... it's amazing! You're going to be (are already) a wonderful mother to this baby boy !
You have som really interesting thougt's about how motherhood should be perceived much more important for society. Supporting mothers instead of rushing them back to productivity, in their careers for instance would change society and make it more healthy.
Thank you for speaking on how underappreciated or recognized women are as mothers. The miracles women are capable of and the selflessness required is still overlooked, so thank you for stopping this. Katherine Leyton's book Motherlike speaks to this as well. Congrats and you were amazing
Dear Christine, Congratulations to you and Kalle to your wonderful baby boy August! I wish you all the best! ❤️🍀☀️☺️ Have a great time together and stay healthy! 🫶🏻✨ Greetings from Germany
Even though you don't get your normal 8 hours of sleep any more know that in the past it was actually more normal for a lot of people to have what is called a biphasic sleep pattern, sleeping 3.5-4.5 hours at a time instead of 8-9 hours. The book "Why We Sleep" comes highly recommended!
The baby is beautiful! Perfect. Delightful. What was his weight at birth? Once they're here, it's hard to even think of life without the baby. It's just hard getting them here. He is a lucky child to have such good parents and he feels the love. Thank you for sharing your story and your beloved babe! Teething time should be kicking in, moody, nose rubbing, biting your chin (careful you'll bruise...lol), growling, frustration, red gums and swollen. You both were wonderful.
There is not much on the internet - indeed in life - as beautiful as a new baby. Thank you for sharing as much of him (and later perhaps as little) as feels right to you. This is the nicest thing I've seen on RUclips for ages.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Beautiful baby ❤
I am not a mum (just a petmum), but it feels warming to watch you as a mum. Like a spark is lightened within me.
Beautiful mama, baby, and video. Thank you for sharing this with us Christine. ❤
You have such a beautiful spirit Christine! Thanks for sharing from your heart. I would love to hear how you are eating!
So happy for u guys!! Welcome to the world little one!!!

💜XX
Christine you are even more beautiful as a Mom. You are glowing!!!! All good to you and August and Kalle.
Greeting from Finland.
Such a nice video!
Amazing!
I missed your individual and beautiful way of video making!
Keep on doing that stuff, the world needs more of it!
Much love from the woods☝🏻
I gave birth 3 months ago and can relate with all the new mom feelings so deeply. Thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤
It is so lovely to see you looking very happy in your motherhood and also looking a lot younger again. August is a beautiful baby, congratulations!
Keep your boy safe....keep him off the internet. Period!!!!!❤
I had labor for 3 days and know what exhaustion that is for sure BUT when that baby cries omg such pure happiness and love
Love your natural look and the glowing motherhood has given you. So beautiful your approach on positive parenting, way to go! Congratulations and welcome August to this amazing planet.
My baby is 11 days old today. I’m still in my postpartum bubble, such a wonderful treat to watch this ❤ thank you for sharing
7:48 & 10:50 your dog standing guard during contractions 🥰
Thank you for sharing. Such a beautiful video. I am in tears. Congratulations. I love his name August❤️
35:25 😢💔YES!
PLEASE REMEMBER...
YOU BOTH...
ARE COMPLETELY PERFECT...
EXACTLY THE WAY YOU ARE❣💯
Dear Christine,
I can imagine very well how much effort it may have taken you to share your thoughts and feelings about this on RUclips again, given the reactions you got in between.
🌸🌹🌷🌺🌻🌼🍀🍃🌱💕💗
✨️ Such a sweet name.
I watched Kalles video and I will admit there were tears. I’m so glad it’s going well and look forward to seeing you again next summer!
Yipppiyay! You look great, and soo happy! Well done, Christine!❤
Hi Christine. Congratulations on having your baby son, August. I watched Kalle’s station and saw how you had your baby. He is adorable. All the best to you, Kalle and August. Take Care. 😊
He is so adorable. 😊🤗
What a sweet baby, congratulations, you are an amazing, beautiful mom.
Thank you for sharing. So emotional to watch. So sorry what you been going through. Hope to you and you'r family all the best. Love you all.❤❤❤
You are so right
Becoming a mom changes you forever
My dad told me when I got married something that is so true
Once you have a child the love and the worry never ends it is forever
❤
Relaxed and happy mother = relaxed and happy baby ❤
What a beautiful video and especially conversation! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
I was 7, we have never told how open I was.
And yes, that can be a part of if. But does it matter, this is just my experience of MY birth ☺️❤️
Grattis till er fina pojke! 💙
I have the greatest respect for you! What a journey, but it sounds like you're so much in tune with your body ... it's amazing! You're going to be (are already) a wonderful mother to this baby boy !
You are such a beautiful, caring and loving mother. 💕 With the most gorgeous little man. Sending lots of love xxx
Welcome i am so happy for you and your baby boy August may god continue blessing your little family 🙌🙏👋👋👋💙💙💙
Väldigt fin video ❤
Would love love to see a video with your foundational steps to look after yourself postpartum❤!xx
Congratulations to you both on the birth of your beautiful son ❤❤
You are new and what a wonderful new! ❤️❤️❤️
