Any way I can REMOVE or Unlink BTTV from my channel? It prevents clearing chat and allows people to see banned and deleted messages. I think we can all agree that's messed up and would like it removed, please. And any other advice on similar websites that might be putting our safety at risk without us knowing for the price of a few silly emotes?

Hey! thanks but one question. I installed it and it works when i log into twitch through my browser but it doesn't work on the app. Can i do something so it works on twitch like an app?
This is done with your browser, it isn’t Mac or windows specific. You just have to follow the tutorial and install the browser extension in your preferred one. From there it will start working in twitch chat inside the browser. If you want it to appear in OBS chat for yourself you need an extra plugin, but if you want it to appear in SLOBs it’s 1 click in the settings.
OBS doesn't have it build in, you'll need a third party widget installed. Slobs has it built in making it very easy once you do everything in this video.
I may be missing something, but is there a common thing people overlook while setting this up? I got it to work for my discord, my chosen emotes are there. But they do not work for twitch. I’ve watched the video about 5 times and can’t seem to find where I went wrong.

Hi man I did everything you said I have 15 shared emotes but I can't see the emote menu is that because I have FrankerFaceZ? also shared emotes I can use everywhere and channel emote only for my stream right?
Have you added the emotes you want to your 15 shared? Go to your BTTV dashboard, go to shared if it says 0/15 then you haven’t picked the 15 you want off the emote library also on the site.

The extension is installed on your browser, so they’ll only show up on your browser. There are ways to get them on phone but you’ll need to install certain apps for that. I can’t recommend one but google will help.
When I try to add a good friend of mine as an editor it just doesn't work. It is completely correct the way it is spelled out and I have tried signing out and logging back in and refreshing the pages. Any other tips to get it to work?
you failed to mention you had to log also log into betterttv and add emotes because trying to use yous didn't work.. because non was added to the channel.,also question.. how is the chat going to know what emotes i have.. so that they can use them.
OBS doesn't support BTTV without you getting a third party tool, this setup is for turning them on for your channel and in your browser. There are widgets that handle it in OBS but sometimes they go out of date or break, so I can't recommend one easily at the moment.

@@BAMJo11 Have you tried completely closing and reopening your browser, Ctrl+f5 to clear your cache when you have your chat open. You don't need to enable anything on Twitch, just install the extension as shown into your browser, and add them to the dashboard. Then when you type in your chat inside Chrome or firefox, etc you should see them.
You have installed the extension into your Browser, you've added the emotes to your channels emote dashboard, and you are making sure you get the emote command correct?
That would be your Computer isn't allowing the extension to be installed most likely. Sometimes it is parental controls, or fire walls being overly strict, etc.

I don't actually know but I am fairly sure you can just delete the emote after it being uploaded and as long as somebody else doesn't reupload it will be taken down. But if you upload it, and someone tries upload the same thing it won't let them because it will get matched up in the system (most of the time). Hope that helps somewhat!

Either or, starting out you get barely any emotes on twitch. Also 99% of twitch viewers use BTTV for shared emotes, if you aren’t using it they’ll notice and be disappointed they can’t use their favourites in your channel.

The chatbox on stream? Are you using Streamlabs OBS to create the Chatbox widget? Just head into the Chatbox Widget settings, and click show BTTV emotes!
That makes it a lot harder, OBS you'll need to install KapChat as far as I know or another external Chat Widget for OBS. Due to OBS being so modular and open it means you need more experience whereas within Streamlabs it is all built in and usually just takes a few clicks.

For BTTV? They login and should be able to see the dashboard themselves.
So trying to follow your guide but theres no option to log into twitch. I install the extension on my browser and thats all it does

Streamlabs OBS is my broadcaster of choice, and it comes with built in chat widgets that are super easy to use :)

That is a question for Twitch :) They haven't rolled out BTTV or FrankerFaceZ Emote support but have been heavily asked, for now only browser works!
