Villa spend a lot of time on NUFC chat rooms - they seem a little obsessed with the fact that we kept getting 50k crowds in the second tier while their support dropped to well under 30k.

@@andrewfinch2281 OK so I did what you said and checked my facts. In 1999, the season before the extension our capacity was 36000+ and we averaged 36000+ so full capacity. Villas that season was 31000+ nowhere near capacity. Living in Birmingham at the time I went to a few Villa games when you were in the Prem and you rarely sold out. The Villa fans I went with also said that the attendances reflected tickets sold and not actual attendance - one I went to was around 25000 actual attendance. Admittedly you were absolutely garbage at the time (you will probably remember) but the difference in loyalty of support is stark.
