She has never seen a piano, a musical note, or even the faces of those blessed to hear her play. I just can't even wrap my head around what a miracle she truly is. I suggest binge watching her videos, way amazing.
Closest playing to Mr Emerson we'll be ever able to hear... she's amazing, she plays with real energy and passion, the truly ingredients behind Keith's music... beyond technique. God bless her... yes, she's a real miracle. Really hope to be able to see her play live someday. I'll be as happy as her at the end of this video.
This album was smuggled into the Soviet Union by my mother.. I heard it first 40 years ago and it still is my favourite album. I heard it so many times I can score it. Rachel, you just made a 60 years old man cry. THANK YOU!!
I used to watch her videos regularly, came across this one this morning.....this woman is beyond amazing, with any instrument she picks up you know that something great is about to happen !
I saw her at the Keith Emerson Memorial Concert at the El Rey Theater. I was standing in line outside when she and her mother crossed the street. She was incredibly nice and humble. I have great respect for this young lady, she is a true artist and plays with her heart.
Amazing. Keith’s heiress. Emerson composed songs mainly on the piano, then he recorded and played them live using piano, organ and Moog. So this piano solo version reveals exactly the compositional structure of the final ELP song. A genius.
The way she gets excited at the end of each song she plays melts my heart. It's like she just can't control the love and passion she has for music and I love that about her
You prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Her enthusiasm is very charming as is her laugh..what a gifted woman she is may she exceed her expectations and dreams. I throughly enjoyed this post its greatly appreciated !!!!
Jesus! I'm terrified of her. I didn't know her. I heard a comment that Carl should have added her to the legacy band. I'm crying with emotion to see such skill, such talent! She is perfect! FANTASTIC. Thank you so much Lord, for me being a musician too.
Absolutely beautiful rendition. Made my eyes water. For my youth , my love of ELP, and my sadness for the loss of Keith and Greg But mostly from the beauty of her playing and definitely from her joy at the end. ☮️
...wow. I get chills at the end of this. I had the honour of covering the strings and organ parts of this during Last Call Live at ProgStock while she handled the synth and piano parts (obviously with great aplomb). She's a joy to play with and the most apt description I can give to her post-performance reception of applause is "equal mixes of passion, gratitute, joy and outright glee." As a keyboardist/vocalist/strummy-guitarist/bassist, after I heard her play for the first time, I had simultaneous thoughts of "Holy effing cow, she is a force of nature!" and "I think I might have a bonfire tonight.... ...but which instrument to burn first?" Keith's spirit gently guides her, but the skill and the passion and the fire is all her. She's got a lot to offer of her own merit, and I am looking forward to what the years will bring from her.
Astonishing performance by Rachel. To think that this was performed as a request and not specifically rehearsed for this gig, the piano virtuosity and attention to detail was unbelievable. Well done Rachel. Thanks for sharing
Amazing performance but not entirely unrehearsed, she has been playing most of Keith's music for years, see this video, it's even better.. ruclips.net/video/Ib31-TDH05I/видео.html
They say God works in mysterious ways... Giving the blind of our generation the passion and spirit to play so brilliantly, just like looking into the past... God bless you Rachel Flowers
She doesn't need To be blind to play well. And there are no mysterious ways unless you're talking about all the children that are staving and dying every day while your god makes people blind to play piano...... zzzzzz just stop. She practiced ..Ray Charles practiced, Stevie Wonder (not blind) practiced.
David Haspell - Keith was astounded by her. A few years back while Gene Stopp was performing maintenance and adding some new sounds to Keith's modular Moog synthesizer, Keith gave her permission to play it while at Gene's home. You can find several outstanding ELP pieces she played using the Moog by searching: Rachel Flowers Emerson's Modular Moog. Trilogy is one of them. She met both Keith and Greg at different times. Prepare to become even more amazed if you haven't found them already.
This is incredible Rachel catches the essence of Trilogy like nobody else can, it's just phenomenal. She is so talented. I grew up with this album and have never tired of this song, when it goes into the full-tilt bit near the end I am just in heaven. Like my daughter said when I played it to her "It's like playing all the notes you know, all at the same time!". 'Nuff Said !
Keith Emerson is still alive and living in this amazingly talented young lady. Thank you so much Rachel for keeping this music alive. I reveal listening to you perform these beloved pieces.
Ms Rachel, early February 2022, I was packing for the 800 mile trip back to the place I use to call home to bury my oldest brother. He went through this era of music growing up. And introduced me to many great musicians through vinyl albums he had from years ago. And Keith Emerson was one of his favorites. But while I was packing your rendition of Trilogy came across my mix of music. I had to just stop and watch, you blessed me more than words can describe. So much so that I sent it to his daughter and when I arrived at the funeral that was one of the songs. So Ms. Rachel now everytime I hear Trilogy I think of my brother but also think of you and how you brighten a rather dark day for me. Thank you
This makes me Cry... I saw ELP when this album came out and it was like a journey into some sort of past and future trip at the same time. Amazing show these three put on the two time i saw them.. Nothing can come close to the Prog rock of the 70's..
It's amazing that anyone is playing this music these days, let alone that Rachel plays it note-perfect and with such ecstatic joy it is a real inspiration to see and hear. Never stop rocking Rachel!
The older I get the more I appriciate ELP, Keith Emerson was the Hendrix of the keyboards. Remember seeing them in the early '70s in Glasgow in the same week I saw L.Z. and a plethora of other bands. Everything was so new and fresh then, people playing musical instruments, guitar strings breaking, feedback, etc.
this is the female version of keith emerson Rachel you are brilliant, I saw elp at the iow festival and was totally hooked on them and still am. now Rachel is keeping their music alive and introducing a new generation to it thankyou
Rachel Flowers transcribes Keith's masterpieces so perfectly on piano it just keeps me jaw dropped listening to her play. I thank God for her talents and how she shares them with us. @UCDS36-bWRTsvAeGtIZTOh5g
Every time I hear Rachel play ELP... I'm just taken aback and totally amazed...She's so young and so much music up there in her head... I work with her on our KE 9 projects. (vocals)... It still is a blur to me what this young lady can do!! Oh.. and this is LIVE... just WOW...
Superb and brilliant new interpretation of one of the best E, L & P pieces. Absolute perfection and virtuoso playing on the minimal details of a highly intricate piece. One thousand congratulations and many thanks for bringing us this beauty, Rachel ! You are awesome !
Being blind is not what makes it so impressive, all good pianists can play blindfolded. What is impressive is that she can have no help from sheet music and literally has to have every note memorised for every single piece she plays and that is on a different level completely. Genius.
Bloody fantastic.... Trilogy was one of the first albums that I got into when I was a younger teenager.... and RF has brought back loads of fabulous memories to me. Absolutely fantastic performance.
I have tears ... that was sooo good. [Edit] Just had to add - that is possibly the most amazing demonstration of musicianship I have ever seen. [Edit 2] Trivia ... But this was on my birthday 😁
Como toca essa menina ! É o próprio Emerson. Que sensibilidade. Alma apurada e enorme habilidade !! Nossos corações se encantam. Siga sempre, Rachel Flowers !! ! !!
It is wondering that before Kieth and Greg passed away that she got to meet them. The meeting was mutual between them that they were quite please that she had a strong bond to the music of ELP, that maybe they thought that thier legacy will on through her.All the best to Raechael future endeavors! Iam.I look forward to her future.Thank you for posting this video.
Rachel Flowers - this is one of my faves!!! Just brilliant. You'll never know how much hearing this again means to me - thank you. Keith had a huge impact on my piano style. Still does. X
Wow...I can even hear Greg Lake singing with her, & Carl on drums. Rachel is incredible! She is a gift from God, & has received a gift from God. Perfectly done!
God had nothing to do with it. Stop stealing credit for your fantasy. She did the work musicians do, and practiced. Blind or not. I'm sure she'd rather see and play..., while your god lets children die every day.....for some " reason" while helping musicians and football teams...
I was looking up Emerson Lake, and Palmer, and came upon this wonderful pianist who plays the music as I have heard it all my life. Eyes closed, that's Keith playing! I was lucky enough to have seen them at Long Beach Arena, CA in 1977. Thanks for keeping this music alive. Hey, have you thought of doing some public performances to freak people out? I mention this as I've been watching many boogie woogie performers on public airport or mall pianos surprise the public by using their awesome skills. Love to see you gracing the public pianos in that fashion, would be great fun.
This gets to me-the fantastic musical personality of Rachel Flowers, paying righteous tribute to a fallen genius, who was at least alive long enough to get together with her and express his admiration and appreciation for her talent!
Hey Mr Gears, My pleasure, and a shame you couldn't be here - Rachel is amazing! However, if you can friend me on FB I will send you an invitation to a concert I'm hosting that just might be more spectacular :) J

Nobody plays Keith with the soul and love like Rachel!!!!
I also greatly enjoy and admire the dedication of Tom Szakaly of Noddy's Puncture.
I saw her at the Keith Emerson Memorial Concert at the El Rey Theater. I was standing in line outside when she and her mother crossed the street. She was incredibly nice and humble. I have great respect for this young lady, she is a true artist and plays with her heart.

Completely honest real emotion.Seen very rearly and she is like this for years. Its a joy to watch and hear.
In love with her talent and enthusiasm
i call her ELP GIRL!!

I tear up.
'Trilogy' was the first album I ever bought back in 1973, I still have it. This was marvellous. Thank you Rachel.
First one I bought too
Just stunning. I learned only 3/4 of Trilogy but can’t keep it glowing like Rachel can! So glad for her talent and life.
same here
Me too. Still my favorite.
Listening to Rachel, I close my eyes and see Keith playing... she is really the only one that plays Keith with the same touch...
I agree ! She has the heart of Keith by her side.....
And since I sing like Greg... :)
She always touch Me deeply!
Just lovely.
Concordo!
Only one word comes to mind when I hear Rachael play... Unbelievable!
Her brilliance breathes life into me.
Astonishing performance by Rachel. To think that this was performed as a request and not specifically rehearsed for this gig, the piano virtuosity and attention to detail was unbelievable. Well done Rachel. Thanks for sharing

She also made a studio recording of this on her Soundcloud, with vocals.
It's obviously a physical workout too. Like running a marathon!

I sure hope the hair on the back of my neck goes down within the next month or so! So very amazing Rachel! Thank you
Exceptional, fantastic. I close my eyes and feel ELP, one of the most loved groups.

Unbelievable.
I've been listening to her for a few years and playlisted her on my show, only now have I discovered that she is blind... mindblowing
That expression of pure joy at the end was everything.

É um show não é?
BRAVO!!!
Bravissimo!!!
Incredible, absolutely beautiful 🌴🌴
Comparing Rachel's one keyboard interpretation to the heavily produced, three artist recording is revealing. Rachel's work holds up very nicely, tyvm.
It is wondering that before Kieth and Greg passed away that she got to meet them. The meeting was mutual between them that they were quite please that she had a strong bond to the music of ELP, that maybe they thought that thier legacy will on through her.All the best to Raechael future endeavors! Genius.... Love her Zappa renditions too. :)
My God, she is so talented. I love listening to Rachel's piano as much as listening to the original ELP works.
Amazing, Rachel. Thanks for keeping this music alive!
Rachel 'Emerson'... thank you very much.
Perfect !! You have Keith in your soul indeed young lady 🎹🎶❤️
Rachel your the best...your interpretations of ELP music are spot on...🥰
Wow...I can even hear Greg Lake singing with her, & Carl on drums. Rachel is incredible! She is a gift from God, & has received a gift from God. Perfectly done!

Makes me remember how great ELP was. Now I have to re-listen to all of it. She is so good.
One of my favs to listen to & play! I can’t image playing it without sight.
That was amazing! Incredible! I wish I could have been there.
Impeccable, spotless, perfect!
She gets better and better!

Rachel I just became a big fan. Anyone kick in out Emerson's music like that, I am with you!!!
Incredible young woman, who is more talented than I can put into words. Thanks for keeping EL&P ‘s works alive and better than ever.

Oh, you made me cry. I wasn’t prepared for that.
amazing as always. love the infectious joy of it all.
Amazing, Rachel... I really appreciate your musicality. You keep Keith alive!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I don’t have words to express this incredible interaction with the piano!!!!❤❤❤
Simply marvelous , amazing Trilogy piano performance ! God bless you Rachel.
Rachel is a sensational musical force. This piece was a work of genius IMO.

Such an amazingly talented woman!!!
She is phenomenal!!
One of my favroite ELP songs. She is so awesome.
Coming along nicely on the keyboards, Rachel.
Eight minutes went by in the space of two.
She is impressive beyond words.
Never fails to tough me emotionally. Thank you.
Another stunning video 🥰🥰
Hooray! Great to hear a decent audio recording of Rachel - most of the stuff on RUclips really doesn't do her justice because of poor audio quality.
Ahhhh Rachel, such natural musicality. You continue to thrill and astonish me with the beauty of your playing. Thank you darling.
Goosebumps. What a talent.
