Wait! Why am I just now finding out this channel? I looked through so many patchy and blotchy RUclips videos while doing my research, and gave up the idea of getting this done. Wish I had seen this sooner! Loved the result!
Oh wow! This is AMASING!!! I wanted this effect for ages, but never seen it so i cannot expain to my hairdresser. Thanks for this video. U r really good!
A great technique that i use all the time, being a stylist of 17yrs i got my first formal warning using this technique in the current salon I'm working in as I did not apply a demi to the roots and blended out a root shade into a balayage.
You are awesome! Love the way you communicate to us! I'm an old stylist, and so thankful for videos like yours showing how to do the newer trends in hair coloring.
Hey--I just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos. I got pregnant my first month of booth renting a year and a half ago and since life has been a whirlwind. I love being a mom, but it doesn't necessarily mean I can afford classes that I'd like to attend or buy online. These are so great for me to learn these modern techniques and use on my clients. Thank you so much! You are a blessing 👍🏻😍🙏🏼
radicallytubular at least your finding ways to educate yourself. I got pregnant 3 months after started at my first salon and that was 1999 so there wasn't youtube to watch. So I think it's great that your motivated. And you can go far. I started like you and now have my own RUclips channel so you'll do fine!
I’m a professional Cosmo and this is great results ! I don’t get it , why so many dislikes you’ve got ? Reality is that balayage comes in many forms and depending on clients desired outcome too! I love ❤️ when the hair is virgin. 😂 you can deliver the most natural sun kiss balayage results . Good job hun 😍
I'm a retired hairstylist and I'm very impressed with this technique. This is what I was looking for. All of the videos I've watched, someone FINALLY let the natural hair out and did not bleach the whole section of hair. I've seen MANY tease-lights on every color of their natural hair, and the end result was totally blonde, except the out growth. What I just watched now, I thought it was BEAUTIFUL AND NATURAL just like she was in the sun... I love it!! Awesome job!! 😍👌👌👏👏👏💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥‼️
Your work is always so gorgeous and I love your tutorials!!! One thing I would really love to see is an in depth explanation and demonstration of how you free hand balayage just like this!
I've tried a million different balayage techniques before and use a paint brush just like you and even the exact same Matrix lightener because that's what we have at our salon and with every single balayage attempt I get harsh lines :( Every single one. It's very discouraging.
Sarah Smith It's very difficult for me to grasp this technique I guess. I'm scared to do any balayage techniques on clients because of the harsh lines I always get. Idk what I'm doing wrong :(
After painting the hair take it between your thumb and index finger (thumb on top) and massage the bleach in by just moving your fingers up and down almost like a teasing motion. Do this just at the very top of the line not the whole strand and this should help to smooth out any harsh lines.. Just a little tip that might help out! :)
This looks so beautiful and it turned out so natural I'll definitely be trying this method with my mannequin head when school is opened again thank's ♥️😍
Excellent teaching Lexi!!!! You stand out against your competition. Phenom execution and delivery on video!! Speed up and voice easier and showing the finished results so wonderful!!! So easy to comprehend. BLESS YOU!!!!! Much continued Success ;}
Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
@Jasper Saint Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hello! Awesome video! As a fellow cosmetologist I just want to add a little info because I recently completed a Redken Color Class and learned that the Shades EQ Gloss is supposed to be applied on dry hair and also it needs to process for a full 20 minutes. Since using this method the gloss lasts a lot longer on my clients. Now the whole salon does it this way. We were all sitting in the class going ok we gotta change some things. ♥️
God bless you for putting on soothing music during the silent parts instead of that obnoxious annoying music in most hair videos! When that starts I always have to bail because it shatters my nerves. This was enjoyable to watch.
Quedo muy lindo. La mayoria de los videos que he visto en donde hacen balayage, las chicas ya tienen decoloraciones previas o californianas, tu modelo tiene el pelo oscuro y sin embargo le quedo hermoso y elegante. gracias !
Color is looking so beautiful. It will be appreciates if u share which brand and which shades you use on client hair . Thanks waiting for ur reply I hope u share with us .
I love your videos. so thankful!!! what toner do you recommend using from shades eq if I wanted a deeper dark caramel color on hair this color? thank you!
I have used light master for balayage, but I cover it with film. I know it's not designed for open air so I find this application very interesting, as I never would have considered doing it! Nice work
Hi I am in the process of downsizing my salon and going with just one station. Would u show to a tour of your station? It looked very compact but still very professional. And I love your hair tutorials!
Hey Lexi, is it just the camera angle or did you change the sectioning on the heavy side of her front section to the finer side? It looks more horizontal on the heavy side and more vertical on the other but maybe it's because your sections were going back! Hope that made sense. I would love a video on what your favorite balayage and foil placements are! Love your work
+Thea Lohnes the sectioning for each side is a little different because of how much hair there is. But every person I customize the sectioning so it will be different every time.
Hey! Hi! I want to get a balayage soon but since my hair is dark and I want to go a little lighter then what you just did. Should I get foils? Or does it work just fine without foils?
I don't know if this is appropriate or not but if its not please forgive me for asking. I was wondering what u charge for this exact process? Im always either under charging or i feel charging too much...
Louann Mckethan I asked the same question...it is good to be paid what we’re worth as it takes time and we are all on a schedule and I’m sure it depends on how much product application is needed too! But good question!😉
nice work lexi! I like the music you played in the background, its meditative and relaxing so the viewer can absorb the content of the video. better than those obnoxious techno music that everyone else has on theirs.
Hi I love your videos and I seen you use matrix I'm considering switch products I was wondering if you could do a video breaking down the matrix color lines and what they are used for :)
Thanks for always sharing. love your videos, I don't think I haven't seen one that I did not like. There such a great help, every tip counts. your awesome!
great video! I tried to do this several times but always ended up with weird lines around my roots area bc I would go too high randomly. where do you tend to stop the bleach? I also get really brassy orange hair after bleaching. would eq 6NB be able to remove brassiness too? :)

Justin Wanke why what happened? Did the toner affect the natural hair or something?x
You are awesome! Love the way you communicate to us! I'm an old stylist, and so thankful for videos like yours showing how to do the newer trends in hair coloring.
I have watched a billion balyage vids and this one is the most helpful! Thankyou so much.

Hi Lexi Awesome, your "balayage" work with and without foils is fun to watch, also your voice is cool to. Great technician!! Thanks for sharing.

Amazing technique Thanks so much for sharing I’m going to try that on a client this weekend.

+Andrea Esposito yeah I'll definitely try to do a talk through video
Andrea Esposito I feel your pain. We only use matrix in our saloon too and balayage can be difficult with light master

I left the brush comment. It's a chip brush. Like 25 cents per brush. You can even trim the ends of the bristles to stiffen their effect.
Size? Brand? Thank you!
@@ErinRaciell No brand. Its a chip brush from the paint section at any hardware store. They're less than a dollar.
Absolutely gorgeous!
BEAUTIFUL. Naturally stunning

Love how it easy it looks and how it turned out. How long does shades eq last before we need a toning session?
Soft and gorgeous!
Super natural!!!! Love

Qué hermoso se quedó, lo decoloraste y que color le colocastes luego?

Hi just wondering what you use to heat with? And tks for taking your time to share your knowledge very appreciated.
great job liked it. whats surface oil?
you make it look easy, giving me courage to DIY. the irony 😅 gracias!
thank you so much for posting this video, it is very helpful.. I would like to ask what is surface oil?
Hey! Hi! I want to get a balayage soon but since my hair is dark and I want to go a little lighter then what you just did. Should I get foils? Or does it work just fine without foils?
Can you please list the products you used exactly and the order they go in plus what ones who you mix together?
Thanks :)
+Alexandra Collins i use light mast we lightener and I toned her with 6NB from shades eq.
Very pretty and natural looking! 30 mins for application?! lol I average 45-mins to an hour to apply. I need to step up my game!
+Sarah Koeppel i usually take an hour or so but with this technique it takes so much less time!
Lexi Dawn. loved the color ! I would really appreciate it if you shared the name of the color :)
I don't know if this is appropriate or not but if its not please forgive me for asking. I was wondering what u charge for this exact process? Im always either under charging or i feel charging too much...
Sarah Carlstedt I did this technique on a head and it also took me an hour!
Louann Mckethan I asked the same question...it is good to be paid what we’re worth as it takes time and we are all on a schedule and I’m sure it depends on how much product application is needed too! But good question!😉
Loveeeeee it I wacht over and over

So lovely!
Hi I love your videos and I seen you use matrix I'm considering switch products I was wondering if you could do a video breaking down the matrix color lines and what they are used for :)
+Andrew Martinez I actually only use logics by them. I don't really know anything about matrix's other lines.
Gorgeous!
Perfecto de todos los que he visto el mejor!!!
I’m 16 and I have the same exact shade of her hair would you recommend me to give it a go as it’s very natural and just blends in ?!💞
Thanks for always sharing. love your videos, I don't think I haven't seen one that I did not like. There such a great help, every tip counts. your awesome!
I love it 🥰
What color did you use? What tonality please. It looks so natural! The best video of this kind I saw
Awesome. What does the cotton do besides separate layers? Is it just for keeping track?
great video! I tried to do this several times but always ended up with weird lines around my roots area bc I would go too high randomly. where do you tend to stop the bleach?
I also get really brassy orange hair after bleaching. would eq 6NB be able to remove brassiness too? :)
Excellent explanation!!! Thanks for sharing.👏👏♥️🇦🇷
Love it great job.
Is that cotton thats placed between them or? I love the way you do this and it turned out great.
Good techniques
LOVE Shades EQ !
