Btw, for people concerned with using honey blocks, you can also use chests instead :)

How did you and shulker get the sticky piston to turn on farm BUT leave the noteblock in top position w/o retracting back? It's a sticky piston! If not used in a restone circuit, that's its only "job".

every farm you've made works great, it deserves a follower and a like
This design allows grass to regrow quickly. If you don't need the on/off switch, you don't have to build the bottom layer, just put the note block between 2 pumpkin lamps
For everyone wondering why their farm doesnt work, try checking if you have mobgriefing ON in the gamerules, or else it wont work. mobgriefing makes the grass turn to dirt when eaten by a sheep, which is needed for the farm to work

or you can add a redstone clock to the rails bottom it will solve the thing too

Tip: Place the grass blocks immediately after the sheep (before you put the glass) is in the farm, this would make it so that the sheep can not jump out

@@spielside8 this youtuber is offering much clearer instructions to all the best ideas the community comes up with, yes its not his original design but many of the smarter builders in minecraft aren't necessarily able to teach others how to be able to build and use it in their own worlds. He credits the original crafters at least. I understand your veiwpoint I just wanted to point out this as well, its a service hes providing. Not ideas /shrug
edit: From my viewpoint, if I'm ever in need a specific farm - its nice to have 1 single youtuber whos guide format I'm familiar with, who finds the best and most efficient designs for me

tip: make sure the observers ARE FACING THE RIGHT WAY, especially the ones that need to face the rails. also make sure that when it’s flicked on, the note blocks are in between the pumpkins

What counts as a farm? Can you put two farms next to each other and connect them to call it a better farm the the previous one?
Tips for getting wool : You can build a string duper and craft them to get wool.

Did 1.20 change something with this farm? I built it but the dispensers could not shear most of the sheep so rates were extremely bad
This seems like a wonderful farm, but i do have a question. Does this farm work for lower versions like 1.16? Because i need a wool farm and this one would be great if it would work for 1.16
I mean you could make Ianxofours design which is faster, simpler and requires less materials.

Made this farm in my survival world a few weeks ago and has been working well.
Just one tip. Enderman proof everything around the farm. Just AFKed this farm for 20 hours and came back with 4 endermans in the farm, dirt blocks everywhere and all sheeps on the loose.
Now I am wondering if I should tare it down or rebuild it or try to figure out what block goes where and how to get the sheeps back in :(

@@Mika-hl6cr Endermen can teleport anywhere which is 3 blocks tall. So put slabs. I just ended up with a mod which prevents Endermen from griefing..

I made two farm side by side , but after i made the second farm both the farms aren’t working properly. The dispenser does not sheer sheeps of some . Pls give me a solution 😊
sorry if this is too late, I had the same problem with the farm, but I figured that since I put some baby sheeps instead of grown sheeps into the farm, they grew into the trapdoor thus the dispenser couldn't detect their hitbox. To solve this I had to open up bits of the glass layer and the grass layer above, and push the sheeps in.

If you are very rich you can enchant the shears with Unbreaking III
Yeah but its just more tedious, if you have infinite unbreaking you deffinetly have infinite iron

I think there are non. Its simpler and needs less resources
It has more grass per sheep, making it faster for the same amount of sheep. If you want to make it as big as possible amount of sheep is limiting factor

But I bet for 9,5/10 people who watch this video its not about making the biggest possible wool farm and more about making a easy but sufficient one for their survival world.
@@YT-NPC Oh yeah, that's for sure, it's really great design. I made mine to be a basis for 1024 sheep farm with max efficiency, but that's more of a tech server vanity project then anything really necessary xD

You don't need the powered rails, you can use normal Redstone instead

Farm worked until it was turned on with sticky piston and SOMEhow didn't do the magic noteblock trick, like in YOUR vid, where it didn't bring it back down again.
