Deeply decluttering my kitchen was probably the #1 minimalism project I did. If it wasn't a work horse, I didn't keep it. If I only used it once a year, it was gone. I either figure something else out or borrow it. My kitchen has very limited storage. It's no longer difficult to put everything away. Love it!

I lost my husband in March, and I’ve been thinking about using your heat mapping method to determine which spices I actually use in my greatly reduced dishes I continue to make. I’m simplifying further as I downsize and the kitchen is an area I have to figure out again. Timely of you to post this video!❤👍

Thank you! I just needed to replace my cooking utensils and instead of choosing a huge 20 pc set for the same price, I bought one with only the 5 tools I actually use and got a higher quality piece. It felt great being intentional and therefore having less clutter

Beyond spices, we're minimal with what foods we buy and don't go overboard with a wide variety of condiments and pastas, as examples.

I love this! I recently bought myself a new set of dishes and it felt SO good getting rid of the old and chipped/cracked stuff and got rid of some other stuff we don't use anymore. The kitchen is the place I declutter and tidy up the excess the most because I have a tiny space and it always feels SO good to have only what you need. Meal time, clean up and even grocery shopping is definitely way easier too.

Thank you so much for all your resources and information Mia!! I have wanted to become a minimalist and I think after 3 years I am getting so much closer to my goal. I just ordered my Caraway set before you released this video for simplicity because I have way to much stuff in the kitchen which has led to decision fatigue and not wanting to cook in general.
Could you maybe talk more about food storage in the future and show your pantry and more minimalist storing options?

I agree with you completely. I’m not much of a cook, live on my own and have hardly anyone coming over for dinner so everything is very minimal in my kitchen. I’ve got a turntable with all the spices I use and some bottles of condiments standing next to it (if I don’t need to keep them cool). There are just a set of 4 of plates, bowls, forks, knives etc and I have a toaster, a waterboiler and an airfryer and 2 frying pans, 2 small cooking pans and 1 saucepan, and a wok. Just a few utensils that I use and a cutting board. I just absolutely love that I can easily grab what I need without taking loads of stuff out of a cupboard before I can finally get what I need.

I have been decluttering for several years. I am constantly surprised that there’s always something more that I can give away.
I was hesitant about giving up my spiralizer several years ago, but I’ve never missed it. Besides, I can get zoodles in the store.
