    I love the sound of classic Tannoys, their tone is so rich.
    That's a serious front end you have driving these 8 )

    Se escucha espectacular, y eso que youtube reduce la experiencia. Como siempre videos de alta calidad, se agradece el tiempo y regalarnos un momento de compartir la calidad de componente de renombre.

    Accuphase & Tannoy = the best natural couple sound. Que pena que sea la pareja más fea también...

    How does it compare with the sound of the Vintage edition?? I own a pair of old Tannoy Cheviot in perfect condition... but i need a better amp to make them sound more natural. Even that...i decrease the energy level to -1 from the level or flat position to soften the high frequencies.

    Looks like the same coaxial type like KEF.

    • @mrpositronia
      @mrpositronia 5 лет назад +2

      Yes, the difference is, Kef uses a more standard type dome tweeter at the centre, with a 'tangerine' wave guide. Rather than the recessed tweeter and horn, that Tannoy uses.

    • @MostlyBuicks
      @MostlyBuicks 4 года назад +1

      You mean KEF looks like Tannoy as Tannoy was first. KEF the copy.

    Not to be crass but, did you just naturally fall into gobs of money? Haha! If so, you're certainly well versed in the exact way to spend it so as to get the most enjoyment out of it. Cheers!

    Nice speakers but $5,500 is utterly ridiculous. They should move production from Scotland to China and make them available at a more reasonable price point.

      @@19761999 lol, yeah I guess if u can't afford them. You are paying for quality and the fact they are made in Scottland not china...honestly, I can care less what u think they are worth...it was worth it to me, and I can afford them...you pays your money and you takes your choice.if u don't think they are worth it, don't buy them....simple.

      @@tonydeniro284 Yes, they are made in Scotland, however, . The company is now Chinese owned and many of their products are made in China. The engineers, technicians, executive administrators, and other critical employees who were the heart and soul of Tannoy left after it was sold the Chinese. They started Fyne Audio, but that's another story. Music Group was considering moving production to China but decided against it in hopes that they could capitalize on Tannoy's past, which worked in your case.
      I remember a long time ago when I purchased a Toyota Camry an older veteran asked me if I knew that Toyota was a Japanese company. He went on to say that we fought against the Japanese so I shouldn't be supporting them. I told him that the car was made in the US by American citizens. He passionately replied saying that "It doesn't matter if the car was made in America or on the Moon. The only thing that matters is who owns the company. Toyota is a Japanese company so it's Japanese car!" There were a couple of people close by who appeared to be nodding in agreement with him. Following his logic Tannoy is a Chinese speaker because the company is owned by the Chinese. Therefore it doesn't matter where it's built. Any attempt to connect today's Tannoy to the Tannoy of the past is simply ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with a Chinese speaker being manufactured in China to lower the cost.
