Tannoy Speakers are very special and extremely beautiful. Probably the most beautiful speakers ever made.
I wish to have a set one day.
Two out of three of the most amazing hifis I heard in my life ran Tannoys. They were very simple and modest but sound by far the best. Shut your eyes and you are there.
I'm not at all into the whole audiophile bullshit but this system seems to be the real deal. Great to see gear that's about quality function and not gimmick.
Wow thank you for this comment.
I think that’s exactly what it’s about.
A wonderful hifi system‼️😍
Your video helped me decide to buy the Tannoy Kensington GR, thanks!
Roberto Zari congratulations and my pleasure that it helped you! Could you tell that to Tannoy, maybe they’d give me some provision... :)) have fun with it :)
@@Jagman5 :)
Strange, as you can absolutely not determine the quality of a souns system on RUclips. It is the same as thinking you can determine the quality of a tv by viewing a RUclips movie of that tv!
Bravo! I like this taste in equipment and music. Line Magnetic's great value for real tube sound and legendary signature of Tannoy gives it 👌
D V thank you! Yes, it’s a really beautiful combo that makes me forget them when just listening to the music!
My dream speakers !
Fantastic sound even on YT.
WOW, the best sound demo on RUclips. What is your source of music? Are you using a turntable or are you streaming?
Dr_Pureness thank you! Actuality it’s just recorded with my iPhone XS... it’s so much better in real :)
This song was streamed via Tidal over a dedicated Roon Rock Core and converted by the mighty Chord 2Qute DAC.
Speechless ✌
Nice presentation 👏.... !
Realistic, full of body, great....
Beautiful. I own the Tannoy GR Sterlings. I drive them with a Audio Research VSI-60. I'm looking to buy a LM-219iA in the future.
I already have the LM-219 amplifier, are these speakers the best choice or have you tried with other speakers?
Thanks ))
I tried a few speakers, mostly horns - but for me the Tannoy Kensington’s are so far by far the best! I guess the Canterbury would even top this, but then it’s quite bulky... I’d actually like to try the Blumenhofer FS1 MKII as well. Let’s see :)
@@Jagman5 Thank you
-- du beau et du bon matos ! --
Perfect excellent sound
This is awesome!!
How's the difference without the preamp??
I am planning to buy the preamp
Gary Ho it’s not that big, as the whole system is on a very high level already. But it puts that little extra on it, that is worth it for me. You’d need very refined speakers like these Tannoys to get that extra in your ears...
lovely system, what components were acting as the source ?
This song was streamed via Tidal over a dedicated Roon Rock Core and converted by the Chord 2Qute DAC.
Nice system. Have some concerns for your hardwood floor 100lb+ amp and 200lb cement block? Simple yet solid.
Reply to my reply: just ordered the LM 210ia SET. Can’t wait.
It’s somehow working, but I didn’t check the floor yet :)
ttt drr how is it?
@@Jagman5 sorry I didn’t notice your question. Amp is fantastic. I bought unity audio whitewater bookshelf speakers. VU meter barely moves due tomthe high sensitivity of the speakers. Great on instrumental music, but it can show bad recordings. The amp is very lean sounding but revealing on percussion instruments (japanese drumming). Did have to change the rectifier tube and the sound improved even more.
Was thinking of using butcher blocks on the floor just like your setup.
harika bir sistem olmuş..Sanırım yurtdışındasınız..Lm805 kullanıyorum 219 a geçsem mi diye düşünüyorum..pre de merakımı cezbediyor lakin burda edinme şansımız kalmadı..
Çok düşünmene gerek kalmadan geçtin işte abi :)
Hi BY, I have Ken with Primaluna int. at the moment and is looking into better amp. Wondering how do you like LM synergy with Ken? Have you tried other amps with it, say pass labs and solid states? If so, how do they compare to LM 219? Many thanks
Hi and sorry for my late reply!
Well, I heard them with some tube gear and also on a Devialet amp - actually it sounds best to me with tubes. A powerful class A should also work, maybe some musical Accuphase and probably Pass Labs as well.
singer a robot. she's inside the speaker.
horn is the king.
I love my ~Kens too!! The positioning here is just wrong though... please refer to owners manual and prepare to have your mind blown even further!
I know it’s not prefect, because my room is massively limited... they need to have more space to the wall at the back and actually the left speaker is too close to the left wall too! Is there more that you mean by wrong positioning?
@@Jagman5 Hello, the speakers only image properly and "disappear" when they are toed in so that the drivers cross plane a few feet in front of your ears/listening position. This locks the centre image so that vocals and centre sounds appear "there". This creates alot more 3d in terms of depth especially and also sounds more tonally correct. They do still sound good toed in by a few degrees the way most speakers are but they dont give their best... i didnt realise till i fully read the manual and cant believe what positive difference it made! Obviously its your room/system/ears so your mileage may vary but i tried Tannoy advice in mine and went from an 8/10 to 10/10 listening experience!
@@tomwebb7091 well, I tried it as well, but at this position it locked in the best way. Thanks for your advice though!
And which gear do you use with your Tannoys?
@@Jagman5 Fair enough there are room layouts of course to consider but i much more enjoy the "Tannoy way" in mine!
My terrible Customer Journey with the Line Magnetic Tube Amps
Spoiler: Would I recommend buying a Line Magnetic product? Not when you are in Germany or Austria.
I don't know how the customer support in the United States is, but my customer journey with the Line Magnetic LM-503PA Mono Vacuum Tube Amps in Vienna is terrible.
In the Summer of 2021, I spent 10k on a pair of Line Magnetic LM-503PA mono vacuum tube amps. This was by far my worst decision in 40 years of buying hi-fi gear.
So far, I have enjoyed listening with the amps for 11 months. But for 5 months, I couldn't enjoy listening with the amps because of defects and ridiculous customer support. As I'm writing this, my Line Magnetic LM-503PA is defective at the distributor for repair for more than four weeks, and Line Magnetic has not even sent the missing spare parts from China to Germany yet. But this is just the tip of the iceberg of my terrible customer experience with a Line Magnetic product.
This is why I wrote a customer report about my journey with the Line Magnetic LM-503PA mono vacuum tube amp for the Hifi Section Pure Neo Magazine. The report is about many customer-unfriendly emails, a dealer who doesn't answers emails at all, the European Line Magnetic distributor holding my amp hostage, and Line Magnetic in China refusing to answer my questions.
never heard them in person, like the look. the objective community hates them because of their measurements.
Here voice is shaking, strange way of singing, but nice amp.
Tannoy non si discute gli amplificatori si.😢
