Sadly my good friend passed away in the short three days following. I’ve dedicated this song to him, RIP Cullen. Forever missed. Reading through the comments and there is just as many kids listening to type o now than when us 50 year olds was live!! Love this!! Y’all know what good shit is obviously!!!
What a beautiful person. RIP. Had the privilege to see them twice live. Signed CDs from them in my car that was stolen and I’m sure that’s why to this day I drink from the separation anxiety. My all time favourite artists.
Every once in a while, I am reminded of how unique TON was. I remember being turned on to them around 1994 with the Nativity in Black tribute album to Black Sabbath. I bought Bloody Kisses. I was a metalhead kid, high on Metallica, Paradise Lost, Pantera...this album was a turning point. Where had these guys come from?! They sounded so dark, romantic, so heavy, so original, so sarcastic with tracks like We hate Everyone and Kill All The White People...I was so entranced with that album, I could listen to it every single day. I did! Soon, I bought all their other albums. I went out to buy Ocotober Rust the first day it was available. I remember the thrill of wearing a Type O Negative tee when going out with my friends, those were such special times (Express Yourself...Just Say Yes)...Peter was such an intriguing artist, such an original, such a loss when he passed. I treasure Type O, I hope new generations keep discovering them and finding such a special, original and unique band.
I remembered a time in my middle school life I would hear Type 0 Negative on repeat to help me with my fear of people. This band helped and inspire me in life. Due to being born three years before Peter Steeles death, I was able to find this band. Ever since then, I've been hearing song from this band almost everyday to help keep their memory alive. I'm thankful for being able to hear and find the band. They'll always be in my heart, R.I.P Peter Steele.
His voice makes my body quiver. And why is it whenever I go into a bar and play Type O, people think I'm a freak??!! Guess they just don't know good music.
There will never be another band that sounds like them,EVER.. glad to have been a teenager in the 90s and listened to them. Hail 80's born and 90s lived kids/teens. We had it better than anyone and you better believe it. Never will be like those times ever again..
Born in 81 and I think we were the last "innocent" kids that had good music. We grew up without the internet... and now we're just old f-cks that whine about how good we had on that very internet.
No. The Cures 'Burn' was perfect. As much as I love this song Steeles persona and Typos were so ott tongue in cheek it would've been wrong for the film. Imo at least. Like arseholes everyone has an opinion... 😊
Bloody Kisses for me is their best album. I was lucky enough to meet Type O Negative the complete band backstage a few years after this. I was sober for a change so we had a really good chat and as much as I was expecting Peter to tell me his influences were Sisters of Mercy he started telling me about his hardcore roots. He was more thrash while I was more punk but a lot of crossover, no pun intended, and I remember Suicidal Tendencies being a band we could both agree on.
@Himbux That’s one advantage to being a little older but my favourite band and drummer growing up was Led Zep and John Bonham and Bonham had sadly already passed on and then I would meet people in the working environment who would be wearing their Knebworth tour t-shirts and I would be annoyed that I wasn’t older so I could have attended.
I’m 55 and love this band and peter Steele so today I got a type o Negative Symbol tattoo and I’m loving it here’s to you guys legends that you are RIP my dark angel wish you were all still rocking 🖤🌹❤️
Yeah I discovered Type O in the 90s when I was in my 40s. Here I am, 68 years old still loving them. After all Peter would be 60 if he were still here and would no doubt still be hot as hell.
@ actually he wouldn't... Peter was a bass and the phantom is usually a tenor or (rarely) a baritone so his voice wouldn't be suitable for the role. But he would be perfect for opera indeed!
I will love this song until I'm dust. Peter Steele is like no other before or after!! It brings calm and serenity to EVERY F*N TIME. Bless him for the love he left❤ Thank You
Used to hear their music on college radio stations in NY in the late 90's and early 2000's. Never understood why they were never mainstream or on Mtv. This is Masterpiece Metal.
Awhile back I had the privilege of seeing Type O with Pantera at the Selland Arena in Fresno. Just before the concert he was being interviewed by KRZR and he said " The song Christian Woman came to me while I was taking a crap on the toilet." True Peter right there. Also during the concert I was able to witness this monstrosity of a man (Peter) hold Dimebag in his arms durin the guitar solo of Planet Caravan, when the solo was over he just dropped him on the stage. Epic concert.......RIP Peter.
I saw them with Pantera too, on the Far beyond driven tour in Springfield Mo. 1997 OMG what a wild concert was in the pit in front of Dime came out with a black eye LMAO GOOD times!!
Something about this song, it is one of my all time favorites, it’s so hauntingly dark and it’s as if the vocals were sung by Death himself. It encompasses the Hell in which we live today in this modern world, not the lyrics as much, but the tone and melody.
Im 36 and I've always liked metal, horror films, etc. Yet I've only just recently actually listened to Type O Negative and I've become such a big fan. They put you in a very specific mood. A good one mind you.
To be completely honest, I met Petrus on several occasions (not just once).. After the second time, he actually remembered, me.. Probably because I was one of the rare few that didn't throw myself at him.. lol! I just thought of him as a regular guy, because that is what he was.. a regular man with issues just like many other people.. It's a shame his issues ended his life sooner rather than later.. *nods* Despite his addictions and his depression and anxiety, he really had a good and HUGE heart.. that he only showed to very few.. As his song says.. "Everything Dies".. but, he was gone too young and too soon.. 04/14/2010.. just 6 days before my own birthday... :( But, I think this way.. his body is gone, but his essence, his spirit lives on through the music.. Music is one of the few things in the world that never dies.. :) As for shows.. Pete could be a total ass.. lol. He would, more often than not, kick teens out of the show saying "You don't need to be exposed to our shit, what is wrong with you?" and even calling up parents and asking "Do you have any idea where your kid is right now?".. he had that little confidence in their music.. What, for him was a very serious thing, for others just added to his dark and dry sense of humor...
Anyone else agree that this is the most metal song out there that is underrated? This basically touches and emphasizes everything that is metal. Do yourself and dont argue. It's TRUE lol. This song has soaked so many panties so you can't deny

I feel you! It was also a turning point to me, when I was teenager in the 90s. I listen to TON music every autumn since then. It's my tradition now :D
"so dark, romantic, so heavy, so original, so sarcastic" Well said. I picked up TON after one of my fav bands, H.I.M., cited them as influential.
They were really unique and ground breaking💚
I remembered a time in my middle school life I would hear Type 0 Negative on repeat to help me with my fear of people. This band helped and inspire me in life. Due to being born three years before Peter Steeles death, I was able to find this band. Ever since then, I've been hearing song from this band almost everyday to help keep their memory alive. I'm thankful for being able to hear and find the band. They'll always be in my heart, R.I.P Peter Steele.
Peter's voice is lower than my social abilities
These guys rule. Totally underrated, too. I don’t think I even heard about them until the mid 00s, either.
I used to have your profile picture now i have Mellon collie
The Smashing Pumpkins are amazing too
I JUST learned about them NOW in 2022. How sad. Better late then never though, right??!😬
His voice makes my body quiver. And why is it whenever I go into a bar and play Type O, people think I'm a freak??!! Guess they just don't know good music.
They sure don't...
Shoot gothic girls are freaks, just a different kind of freak that I really like!! Rock on hitch cutie! Rest on peace peter!!
i wish a girl would play this song at a bar i go to.
You're going the wrong bars
Its actually great music for a dimly lit environment
He is beautiful 😭
Peter's voice is lower than my income.
But not lower than mine hehehehehhe.......*cries*
😂😂😂
awesome :)
Destination: tonsils 💕😢🤣😢🤣😢💕
His voice is lower than my pendulous old man nuts
I loved this guy. No one will ever replace him. No one can!!!!!!
This song never gets old, it only gets better 💚🖤
There will never be another band that sounds like them,EVER.. glad to have been a teenager in the 90s and listened to them. Hail 80's born and 90s lived kids/teens. We had it better than anyone and you better believe it. Never will be like those times ever again..

It's not something you can just bring back
The people are different, newer generation is halfway re tar ded
Born in 81 and I think we were the last "innocent" kids that had good music. We grew up without the internet... and now we're just old f-cks that whine about how good we had on that very internet.
This song should have been in the first crow film
Init
I agree
Fuck yes
Omg I'm in love just thinking about it 😍
No. The Cures 'Burn' was perfect. As much as I love this song Steeles persona and Typos were so ott tongue in cheek it would've been wrong for the film. Imo at least. Like arseholes everyone has an opinion... 😊
Peter Steel died and he took my heterosexuality with him. Rip
Too funny .... I think !!
Same
Fake and gay
God. Stfu.
@@TheEyeball37 you stfu
He was such a sexy man, can't find anyone like him today haha.
R.i.p.⚘
Bloody Kisses for me is their best album. I was lucky enough to meet Type O Negative the complete band backstage a few years after this. I was sober for a change so we had a really good chat and as much as I was expecting Peter to tell me his influences were Sisters of Mercy he started telling me about his hardcore roots. He was more thrash while I was more punk but a lot of crossover, no pun intended, and I remember Suicidal Tendencies being a band we could both agree on.
Lucky you! I discovered this band in 2021...So sad about this...
Still the hottest video ever made. He was too good for this world.
Trump is too good for this World. Make America Great Again

You’re right, gothic is never dead, but pete is :(
You mean the soul that is dead? Yea, mine too.
Peter Steele: The man, the myth, the legend.
I woke up to this song while my Spotify was shuffling. Probably the second best thing that has ever happened to me besides being born.
I think I'll listen to this music a thousand times and I will not get tired
+Emmanuel Lemos me too and I am pretty sure I have. I will always love it,
+Erika Iversen Thriller at Seville Quarter, P'cola?
+Erika Iversen yep small world, I'm in Mobile.
Yes! That was last years set.

I can listen to his voice all day! His music keeps me going every day
Like the Energizer bunny.😂🤪😁💡👍🕯️☕
Almost forgot to watch this today
You got insta?
Devil I miss him... :(((
@@kumbandit like how you replaced "god I miss him" with " devil I miss him"
Omg the legendary Sonya blade!
Luckily ya remembered. Don't want to upset Peters ghost
This was my high era.. I instantly loved this band and albulm.. it was so good.
Absolutely 💚🖤💯
Hearing that voice often makes me wonder if Peter ever considered a career in Opera at any time in his life.
@ Absolutely!
@ actually he wouldn't... Peter was a bass and the phantom is usually a tenor or (rarely) a baritone so his voice wouldn't be suitable for the role. But he would be perfect for opera indeed!
Met this man, fell in love with his voice then realised died 10 years ago. So much pain.
I will love this song until I'm dust. Peter Steele is like no other before or after!!
It brings calm and serenity to EVERY F*N TIME. Bless him for the love he left❤ Thank You
Id suffer internally for you baby. God what a beautiful gift Peter was. Please send another one.
Did you have pictures of your puffy cat
I remember like it was today, how almost 30 years ago Bloody Kisses changed my life. Thanks Peter!
Used to hear their music on college radio stations in NY in the late 90's and early 2000's. Never understood why they were never mainstream or on Mtv. This is Masterpiece Metal.
Once again it's Fall, once again we listen to Type O
Heard him whispering in my ear and nearly collapsed. omfg I'm in complete awe
1997 OMG what a wild concert was in the pit in front of Dime came out with a black eye LMAO GOOD times!!
my first show ever was type o and pantera in 94 I think it was. instantly addicted
By far one of the most beautiful human beings that ever walked this planet.
It's a shame Peter didn't have any kids, that we know of. He had great genes. What beautiful man.
Same can be said about Patrick Bateman.

Peter steele of type o negative his music and tone is calming to me as i have autism and all my teenage year's i looked up to him through his music
There was a rumour Steele could make women pregnant just by singing to them.
no rumors, just a fact
FACTS
yep i am the proof
lurch321 thanks we’ll see
..... Confirmed.
I wish he was here to record an ASMR video
Wow that'd soak my panties
No wonder his voice gives me the tingles
Dear god that would be heaven and a turn on 🙈
No I don't want to turn gay !
That would be impossible
I can listen to this 50x & not be tired of it...🤩🤩🤩
The fact that so many women love this man makes me very happy :)
He loved Elizabeth(long term partner) til the day he died.
Met him once.. He really was a fascinating person (and freakishly intelligent)... RIP.. Pete-san..
derekmurphy1991 What do you mean by RH type?
very lucky girl. i never got to ever see him at a show. my fiancee did. lol i hate him for that lol :P
As for shows..
Akiko Fujishima So how did he die? I've been seeing all this stuff on him being dead but no one saying why.
Anyone else agree that this is the most metal song out there that is underrated? This basically touches and emphasizes everything that is metal. Do yourself and dont argue. It's TRUE lol. This song has soaked so many panties so you can't deny
It's my favorite song of all time. Set a ton of PRs lifting weights to it blasting in my ears
I think that we never really die. A part of us stay around, visiting the ones we love.
Peter is in his dimension and here at the same time.
🖤💚🖤💚
I belive the same;)Happy Halloween;)🖤💚
