If denofa would‘ve been able to put together the chase that he did on aasbo and finish, this would have gone down as the best chase run ever on FD Long Beach, that proximity was alien like.... change my mind
Well, that chase if perfect then it would be second for Best chase run. The best ever chase run was by Castro in ORL, chasing down James Deane

I think this track is super unforgiving aasbo knows that. I think he really felt bad about that one. He genuinely looked concerned
@@tristan7122 100%. There have too many instances not just in drifting but many other motorsports where one driver clearly is at fault but refuses to take full responsibility. These are incredibly costly mistakes so it’s always nice to see people being honest

I’m honestly excited for this season, it’s more of like close battles. Look at Castro, he wasn’t in his pace in this past few years and now he looks so Confident with his new car. Look at Tuerck too, p1 in quali and went P1 in the battle, Field and Aasbo had great battle. We’ll see LZ progress, and We’ll see Denofa for this season.
Mohan was ROBBBEEEDDDD!! Denofa lead AND chase were so sloppy, all over the place. Mohan was on POINT!
Castro was dialed in man, I really hope he wins at one this season. Insane chase driver with great skill but it seems like its always car troubles holding him back?
Yea, before the 2a-r was the issue. Thats not a very reliable engine always seems to blow up. Now that he has a b58 it seems to be working. They're in a new car, new engine psclage ganna have a few gremlins in the beginning

I was thinking the same thing I’m surprised they didn’t catch it.
Steering rack/tie rod has no angle so it will start wobbling at that kind of steering 📐
thats actually too much angle and wheel isnt well secured by steering rack/tie rod... they actually need to reduce angle, or trying not to go to such angle... usually it makes that when it passes angle too much... but fun fact...if that option wasnt available he would definately spin out...
@@P4FElton the knuckle is mounted to the control arms and the rotor / caliper to that how is the tie rod causing them all to be loose. It looks like it was moving in all directions
@@mhfuXmonsta it does move in all directions... at least to the point the tie rod makes strenght again... there is this guy called erick medici, brazilian that will compete in prospec... hes making his own system to turn more than wisefab without the wobble :D at least he said... lets see if it works xD

Thank you. I stopped watching these events live because of Jarod DeAnda, and 40 minutes of nonsense is too much before competition. Ok it isn't just because of Jarod alone. It is also because of the ads and being able to skip through the downtime.

You know this competition is so aggressive for the fans , judges etc and 2 aggressive and smooth drivers this show no matter how good you are things happen to be on top the people that fd is rig these guys aren't crashing they're cars just for the show for the fans or something to talk about. This shows how committed and how there so much love for the sport of drifting from the drivers they both did great hell all drivers did great vet ot rookie I congrats all drivers no matter how good or bad they did round 1 especially on a unforgiving track at long Beach.

He had to ask what's a cool car I just go with what I loved. Jimmy Oaks taught him alot 💯

Yeah, alot of people ignoring Denofas x-factor in the comments xd, granted mohan had a smooth ass lead lookin beautiful, denofa had a killer x-factor with them tight whipped angles and improvs, judges value x-factor more, it was a good match
I wish fd allowed more time for car repairs for crashes that arent your fault but also i understand that in the end its a competition and the show must go on.

I hated matt after his post and his story in instagram. You don't do that, crashing is a part of it and i know it sucks and takes so much time to repair, but you dont act like a clown in instagram against a driver who apologized sincerely and admitted his fault.
That was a BS on the judges between the rx8 and mustang the Rx8 won that hands down

in the end of it all it was a good round for field/basckchis team, even tho with a wreck car, a very good round for papadakis team, even tho aasboo fucked up a bit (but not the car), and overall a bad round for rtr team... adams failure in that area (top16-top8) was expected... but denofa so early it wasnt...

So I'm trying to understand the decision. 10 mins to fix the car for not at fault then + 5 mins comp time out. Still can't fix it in time, wins that battle (morally seems fine although I can see how it could be taken advantage of). But shouldn't he then have even more time between rounds to fix the car? Typically I recall if a driver is last in their round and first in the next they give them a bit of time to turn around and fix the car. I assume the damage was so much that Field made the call to not bother trying to fix it at all.
