Skill capped I love your guys' videos. You've made a lot of stuff that helps me, but I have one question. You've made videos about how to carry when behind, how to do this and that, but you've never made a video about what to do when you're ahead. In a lot of games I find myself a lot of gold and XP ahead as a top laner, but never know how to close out my games. Could you make a video about this?
5:18 yeah that is the issue with many of this videos. I don't think you realize how coinflippy this situation is. You could very easily die here as oriana and you won't get in such position as oriana either. Like wtf you almost died here as illaoi (sylas had no ult to use). If you had orianna ult they would just cc chain you Edit. Also I had to look at it couple times because for some reason you played this fight really fast, but I am pretty sure sylas missed his E.
Great video! However, think the title is a bit misleading. I would call it: the importance of your personal wincon. Still no idea how to determine the wincon per game (understand that this almost impossible to teach to a hardstuck platinum guy).
He is, though he forces 1v1s out of 1v2s and 1v3s. That's why he's such a terrible champion late game since he can't really front line like other juggernauts can, because as soon as he ults someone he disappears with the person he ult'd. So he's just generally a lot better going to a side lane chilling while doing his thing.
@@Kamishi845 Which means that his actual lategame win condition is to splitpush right? Any champion that has the ability to trade up 1v1 like Fiora requires the enemy team to either send their best to deal with you or to collapse on your lane, and Morde can basically make that an even 1 for 1 trade every time with his ult, since he's garbage at teamfights anyways that means he can at least remove one big threat from the enemy side in exchange for dying to the rest, or ideally just sweep the one guy that comes after him and then go hunting for their towers again with the bonus stats he just stole from them.
Get free harass on the enemy bot lane, track the enemy jungle and ward before he might arrive, occasionally roam top or mid in backs/deaths, and empower the win condition of whoever on your team has the highest overall damage potential.
i am not sure what kassadin win con is, he cant split unless feed or late game he cant teamfight unless feed or late game and he cant win lane in almost all matchups, is his win con just farm??
Just try to reach lvl16 asap. Then you can fight at all events. I play Kassadin pretty often atm, bc he is very op due to mage items like crown... And the thing I always does is (like the other guy already said) just survive in lane and keep farming until you can do something else, which can also be earlier in the game if you got fed through farming and some pick offs maybe. After lvl11 for example you skill your ult second time which means you will be definetly more helpful to your Team in the next fights coming up:)
Win conditions also take into account your team, and the enemy team. There is no win condition for sion, but knowing whether in the game you are needed as a split pusher, tank, engager or full damage, works toward what your win con is.

@@raynorplayz4731 thanks. but i am asking as in the video, they told what is the specific condition for a solo q player without their team. For example for ilaoi he completle explains what is his win condition, without his team.
@ You misunderstood; your wincon CAN include your team ("I need to frontline") the idea is not getting tricked out of your own personal wincon. In game A you could identify, based on team comp, "My wincon this game is splitpush". In game B you identify the wincon is "I need to engage"; you need to stick to that. It can be flexible based on context too, if you get turbo-inted you can pivot to "I need to force them to answer my push", or you int and your wincon becomes "Live long enough for my team to do some damage at objectives". Look at (most) ADCs; their wincon basically always has to include teammates by default because of the nature of the role ("My wincon is to attack while X, Y, Z peel and frontline"). This is one of the reasons ADC agency is the lowest in the game. A few can trasition into splitpushers (eg- Lucian) when fed, or engagers if they have the right ult for it (eg- Aphelios R root) but most are resigned to relying on allies.
the difference between illaoi and other assassins is that even if you get ganked by nautilus and ornn and caitlyn and hecarim at the same time you would still win
the problem is that in solo Q even if you try to stick to your known win condition, there'll be times where you may fall for the wrong decisions. like if you play a juggernaut top like mordekaiser/sett/darius, your win condition is to win your lane early since these champs are very powerful early game and become giant raidbosses that noone can really stop. but then you see your team doing a dumb teamfight ( usually in soloQ) and they blame you for not dying like and idiot alongside them.now instead of sticking to your splitpushing raidboss win condition you have to aram with your team cause their ego might implode and start trolling/go afk/ff. or start chasing very mobile champs as an immobile champ yourself. let the enemies come to you , not the other way
Honestly, 99% of the time I see my fed top laner grouping because they just lack mid game macro and fail to understand what they are supposed to do in order to keep extending their existing lead. Rarely if ever do I see people flame the top laner for not grouping, but if anything it frustrates me to no end that once the top tower falls, my top laner decides he is going to chill in mid with me and my bot lane, which fucks up everything come mid. As a result the massive lead is thrown away as they keep sharing xp and farm while trying to ARAM. For once I'd love to see my fucking top laner actually keep pressuring their lane instead of turning into a headless chicken once laning phase ends.
@@Kamishi845 i guess those players aren't true toplaners lul. most toplane players, myself included play for ourselves, so we can get strong and carry side-lane or in teamfights ocasionaly. i try to win my lane earlygame with a strong earlygame champ ( Sett/Volibear/Pantheon) then extend my lead by taking enemy jungle camps, keep pushing, assert preasure sidelane or roam mid or for dragon, but ofc before i have to crash the wave into the enemy tower so it bounces back when i return top. but if you play a teamfight tank top you should group a lot cause well, that's your main win condition
Anivia's wave clear and battle field control means she loves sieges. Mid being the default place people go for teamfights/sieges means if she can keep it, she'll scale quickly AND have the teamfights she wants. It also means less control for her opponents if her tier 1 is up.
@@harrycheng Yup. Also applies in reverse. The further you can push up as Anivia, they get pushed further away from your tier 1 because they never have minions get there.
@@tadehansen8046 Pretty sure he needs Ignite to be able to do that. Hecarim with his W can heal a lot and if Sylas does damage it heal him even more. I'm not saying that it's a good gank, but a bruiser doesn't get killed by an assassin with no items. The correct play from Hecarim would have would have been to get one more camp to get 6 before the gank or just push the wave with Sylas without going ham to both get 6. But the biggest issue I see in this clip is the Hecarim being 2 levels down the Mid laner, which shows how garbage the elo of the game is.
Depends on the jungler and the matchups. Junglers want to facilitate their laners as much as possible but also focus on themselves. Eve wants to hit level 6 as soon as possible for example, and then just use her ult to execute low targets. In comparison Lee Sin is an early aggressive jungler and wants to look for 2v2 skirmishes he can win early like around scuttles and other objectives. I think timers are very important when playing Lee Sin, and just a good sense of tempo. A good Lee Sin can completely set the tempo of the game and never give it back. Viego is flexible but is a glorified Master Yi in that he wants to clean up low enemies to get his passive reset and just cockblock the enemy team, so he prefers chaotic game states so it's easier for him to get the reset he needs. It doesn't mean it should be a complete fiesta, but Viego values fighting as long as it's favorable to him. Since he has low mobility and a bad cc he also prefers going to lanes that can set up cc for him. Compare to Diana who can skirmish but really shines the best in team fights etc.
that's actually how I try to play but I always get distracted and go help some teammate and die with him. I play garen and most of the time my win condition is to win lane and pressure the sidelane but when im against a champ I can't sidelane against like camille or fiora I try to flank and one shot the adc of mid sometimes if im behind I try to just peal by building a little tankier and silencing their diver and shreding their armor for my adc with and slowing them with stridebreaker

As a support main when i get my mythic item i usually just look at who has the most kills on my team and follow Them/support Them for the rest of the game or follow someone Else if they get more kills
I don't think is usually the right thing to do, not with any supp at least. If you are Yuumi then i guess that is what you'd like to do, but if you are any other kind of support other than enchanters then you are usually just sucking away experience from another laner and exposing your ADC to a 1v2. Just phisically being there as a supp can change the interaction with the enemy and make them think twice about engaging. If I see a low gold ADC that is pushing it's luck by farming sidelanes because his supp left him favoring another fed laner then I am going to jump that ADC every time it pops up on the map.
As a main Support the problem with that role is that it's really impossible to carry games (while a Jungler can feed himself with camps at least). That means every SkillCapped videos are literally useless for us since you could be a LEC Support, you won't be able to win games at the lower elos where no lane is doing good.

McBaze approach to Illaoi is very interesting. DirtyMobs has actually mentioned that he feels Illaoi is not nearly as bad grouping up for teamfights as people think she is. However, I definitely do not think McBaze's take is as black and white as 'never group ever', either. Mobs mentions that sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, and a lot of that has to do with how much of the team's potential you actually are. If you are essentially THE team then it stands to reason that if your team wants to seriously group for anything you need to be there or they stand no chance. But I have also ran into plenty of instances where it was better to just take my lead and run it through a lane by myself dragging the enemy to me simply because my team has shown zero ability to make serious, committed team decisions.
I honestly think this type of video is what makes solo queue even worse. I understand this was just The illaoi win con, but if you aren’t a Smurf and you aren’t insanely fed, this mentality can actively lose you games. There should’ve been more examples, for mid to late game, or even early game champs that want to rotate with their team and take objectives.
@@agseba124 The "Forget the team, push my lane, stay in my lane, the game is my lane" Mentality. Works if you are ahead, on a Champ that can handle 1v3 when ahead. Fails in every other situation.

This video isn't very good. First you play Illaoi mid, versus a guy who plays worse than average at this elo or just doesn't know anything about Illaoi. You got huge "weird pick advantage". Secondly your team is winning anyway. Even Jinx Yuumi is winning versus Caitlyn Nautilus Hecarim which should never happen.
Good video but your thinking that way if my team dose wtf they're supposed to do. You have no videos on if your team feeds or doesn't know wtf to do and thinks loosing is fun. You tell me how to recover from that on a constant basis. Dc running it down flames trolling you can't climb YOU and ur team have NO CLUE the B's we have to put up with down here is us peasants are not worthy
In low elo I would play a trynd (mid jungle top) mute everyone and just focus on your play style. Understand that in order to climb you need to win just slightly more than you lose.
You are right... and you are SOOOOOOOO wrong. Yes, rito made this game in this way, that its not really multiplayer now. It would be more creative to make us play vs bots rly... but IT IS SO WRONG. -Just fight 2v2 and outplay evading skill shots
-Flash 3rd Q to a really good engage in a team fight
Im otp riven stucked in plat 4 for 3 years xD but this season is the first time I really feel like I wanna improve
This is pretty good. Would love to see more of this kind of content. Thank you.
This is soooooooo goood and this is such an important fundamental to understand as early as possible, for sure linking this to my low elo friends
If you had orianna ult they would just cc chain you
Edit. Also I had to look at it couple times because for some reason you played this fight really fast, but I am pretty sure sylas missed his E.
Hello, will we have every the basic win conditions of champs on your site pls ?
Great video! However, think the title is a bit misleading. I would call it: the importance of your personal wincon. Still no idea how to determine the wincon per game (understand that this almost impossible to teach to a hardstuck platinum guy).
one of the best videos you ever made
I feel like Mordekaiser is similar to Illaoi in terms of win condition? Am I wrong?
He is, though he forces 1v1s out of 1v2s and 1v3s. That's why he's such a terrible champion late game since he can't really front line like other juggernauts can, because as soon as he ults someone he disappears with the person he ult'd. So he's just generally a lot better going to a side lane chilling while doing his thing.
@@Kamishi845 Which means that his actual lategame win condition is to splitpush right?
Any champion that has the ability to trade up 1v1 like Fiora requires the enemy team to either send their best to deal with you or to collapse on your lane, and Morde can basically make that an even 1 for 1 trade every time with his ult, since he's garbage at teamfights anyways that means he can at least remove one big threat from the enemy side in exchange for dying to the rest, or ideally just sweep the one guy that comes after him and then go hunting for their towers again with the bonus stats he just stole from them.
i would like to know winconditions for lulu/soraka and espacially yuumi if the whole team is pretty bad…
Rabadons👹
Open netflix on your second monitor and wait for the FF 😂
If the ENTIRE team is bad ,enchanters will probably do nothing
After many years in low elo the best win con is learn a broken champ like Jax irelia and 1v9 ur game
Get free harass on the enemy bot lane, track the enemy jungle and ward before he might arrive, occasionally roam top or mid in backs/deaths, and empower the win condition of whoever on your team has the highest overall damage potential.
Very useful video, thanks
Illaoi gaming, oneshotting enemy wave and basically standing under enemy tower
wait... q max on illaoi? shouldnt it be e max? ive been away from league for a while though.
i am not sure what kassadin win con is, he cant split unless feed or late game he cant teamfight unless feed or late game and he cant win lane in almost all matchups, is his win con just farm??
Survive. If Kassadin survives the laning phase he won, pretty much.
I feel like every adc has the same win condition Wich is survive do some DMG take objectives.
all they need to do is to deal damage when the team needs it
Awesome video!. What would be a win condition for Sion? Split and then team fight with ult?
I just had a guy in my game pick illaoi into my Viktor. Creamed him, he said mcbaze lied. I said nah fam you'd to yourself
how do i know what is champions win condition?
the difference between illaoi and other assassins is that even if you get ganked by nautilus and ornn and caitlyn and hecarim at the same time you would still win
the problem is that in solo Q even if you try to stick to your known win condition, there'll be times where you may fall for the wrong decisions. like if you play a juggernaut top like mordekaiser/sett/darius, your win condition is to win your lane early since these champs are very powerful early game and become giant raidbosses that noone can really stop. but then you see your team doing a dumb teamfight ( usually in soloQ) and they blame you for not dying like and idiot alongside them.now instead of sticking to your splitpushing raidboss win condition you have to aram with your team cause their ego might implode and start trolling/go afk/ff. or start chasing very mobile champs as an immobile champ yourself. let the enemies come to you , not the other way
NA? xd
Why is Anivia's win condition to keep mid t1 tower up?
Anivia's wave clear and battle field control means she loves sieges. Mid being the default place people go for teamfights/sieges means if she can keep it, she'll scale quickly AND have the teamfights she wants. It also means less control for her opponents if her tier 1 is up.
@@ggpt9641thanks for the input. So basically let people come siege our mid tower and Anivia can fight easily?
@@harrycheng Yup. Also applies in reverse. The further you can push up as Anivia, they get pushed further away from your tier 1 because they never have minions get there.

@@lamineboutaleb Funny how you think that you know better than him.
Can you make the same video but for junglers since I think it's much different for them.
I play garen and most of the time my win condition is to win lane and pressure the sidelane but when im against a champ I can't sidelane against like camille or fiora I try to flank and one shot the adc of mid
sometimes if im behind I try to just peal by building a little tankier and silencing their diver and shreding their armor for my adc with and slowing them with stridebreaker
I wish I was confident enough to push like that
So wat would be a supports solo win cons? Especialy supports that cant carry with damage and is more reliant on team to do the damage

What about if u were someone like malz
@@arkahique thats why i prefer to use all my support to the carry and buy items that g’ets my carry stronger

win condition for every champion: outplay the enemy like mcbaze and got super fed, then carry
a trully iron master
McBaze approach to Illaoi is very interesting. DirtyMobs has actually mentioned that he feels Illaoi is not nearly as bad grouping up for teamfights as people think she is.
However, I definitely do not think McBaze's take is as black and white as 'never group ever', either. Mobs mentions that sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, and a lot of that has to do with how much of the team's potential you actually are. If you are essentially THE team then it stands to reason that if your team wants to seriously group for anything you need to be there or they stand no chance.
But I have also ran into plenty of instances where it was better to just take my lead and run it through a lane by myself dragging the enemy to me simply because my team has shown zero ability to make serious, committed team decisions.
i am bronze 2 adc and half of the time if i am not able to scale as aphelios i lose

I honestly think this type of video is what makes solo queue even worse. I understand this was just The illaoi win con, but if you aren’t a Smurf and you aren’t insanely fed, this mentality can actively lose you games. There should’ve been more examples, for mid to late game, or even early game champs that want to rotate with their team and take objectives.
what mentality ? what?!
@@agseba124 The "Forget the team, push my lane, stay in my lane, the game is my lane" Mentality. Works if you are ahead, on a Champ that can handle 1v3 when ahead.

It would be great if you made this video based off a game in your elo in challenger or something. This is just you shitting on gold players, it's not teaching the concept well. If you showed us challenger replays of you identifying win cons it would be much more helpful.

@@teteualmeida00 what time stamp? It doesn't matter what rank you're in, win con is win con. win condition depends on the game, so if your comp can teamfight well you want to tank for them, or if you have good splitpushers you'll want to make plays with a numbers advantage
you should teach people how to know the win condition, or do you have to pay for that
