Space Oddity was released in 1969 as a single and on Bowie's second album.
My gear: Gibson SJ-200 standard, Neumann KM184 small diaphragm mic, Mojave MA-200 tube mic, SPL GoldMike preamp, RME ADI-2 converter. Sanyo Xacti FH1 camcorder.
this is more british than the uk
Leo Xavier he probably isn’t even from the uk
Lol
so this is Great Britain
According to the French he spoke in an earlier video and my limited understand of French, I have come to believe he is French.
Source: English Man
Not really considering the fact he isn’t even English
his hair suits the time of the song
jajajajjajaja
When I saw the thumbnail I thought, "How the hell did they have youtube 40 years ago?" lol
lol you are so badass
Don't ignore the sideburns, they are important as well .......
His hair is the song
The guitar sounds amazing...
You look and play like my father that’s dead 3 years ago, you made me cry, thank you for this
David Bowie left us today, but I am pretty sure he would be truly honored with this awesome cover! I'll put it on my playlist. Thank you very much for sharing your talent with us! o/
For some reason I want the guy singing me this every night before I go to bed
me too
No homo though
Ha. GAY.

+enrico REA é nois
He looks the part, his guitar playing is excellent and his voice has, in addition to technical perfection, all the sweet sensitivity and yearning that the song can convey.
As one who is sick to death of this entire era of rock music, I must say this is pretty good.
Your hair is awesome!
Tom major tom u still on the moon? its been 40 years
the moment i saw Gibson
i knew this gonna be amazing
surprisingly it seems like hes fit the era of the song
Morrissey it's the hair :D

amazing cover. not sure if i commented this already, but i've watched this so many times because it's a classic. :) great job man, keep it up.
Hey man, beautiful performance 👏👏👏
As far as covers go, this is phenomenal. Well done sir.
This cover is almost too perfect i was taking a finals yesterday and this was playing in my head the whole time 😂
Wow, cool! and thanks
Bruh finally a video that is from the early youtube days and is in 1080p
i was browsing the cover and i choose this one because his hair, and it's really good, i love it
This is brilliant! Good work, you've completely seemed to fit the era of the song, and you've pulled it off amazingly! One of the only good covers I've seen on RUclips. Keep up the work you're very good!
Very nice...great vocals and guitar!
thanks for posting your gear. its how i found your beautiful renditions in the first place!
You're welcome! And thanks
honestly incredible work. iv been working so hard on this song but I can't get it to sound as good as you. would you ever consider making a lesson video on this?
Hello Shadowhalk, thank you very much! Alas, I'm not really into lesson videos, plus I don't have much time presently. The only useful tip I can think of is to play the F chord in the non-barre way (with thumb and all) so that you can skip to the F minor with the index on the 3 small strings right afterwards. Otherwise, sometimes it's beneficial to stop working on a song, and when you get back to it, you'll handle it better due to general improvement of level and new approach to the song. Cheers
Show Cedric! Great job. Congratulations. (from Brazil)
I love your interpretation
the sound of the guitar is very good
Bravo
I didn't know Steve Martin sung this well. Well done!
I host a page on facebook called Acoustic Revisioning.
With the passing of David Bowie the other day, I was looking for a fitting tribute. I listened to quite a few and I am happy to say yours was chosen. Thank you for a beautiful cover.

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three)
Check ignition and may God's love be with you (two, one, liftoff)
This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
"This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do
Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you "Here am I floating 'round my tin can
Far above the moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do"

@infonator1 : yes, I used the SPL GoldMike preamp, the first model without the compressor. Used, it's quite cheap here in Europe. The mikes were the Neumann KM184 small diaphragm mike and the Mojave MA-200 tube mike
Terrific job! Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

Very nice Cedric!
this is brilliant
Wow man, that was perfect! I'm gona sub your channel! Congratulations from BRAZIL!!
@joeymascarenhas : Thanks, Joey. I liked the RME very much; I felt my recordings had more and crisper bass and treble. But I could only compare with my EMU 1212 converters. Unfortunately I had to send the RME back because it was defective. Now I'm going to have a try at the Apogee Rosetta 96 khz; it can be found at 400€ used.
