i have three tattoos from their albums, i love these guys so much. “bad luck never leaves” “you’re spending too much time, digging graves and sharpening your knives” “your voice, in the back of my head, wishing things could be quiet” “you’re cold, like the blood that runs through your veins” “you’re a match, that can’t be lit. spark the flame, burn infinite” “your chrysalis..nighttime wanderer” there has not been and will not be another title fight. thank you and thanks TF 💛
Title fight has been my favorite band since 2014. I'll never forget stumbling across floral green and being fuckin blown away. I saw the thumbnail while listening to citizens "youth" album. They instantly became part of my daily life and that hasn't stopped since. I love title fight.
I have always appreciated their earlier stuff more than what they did after Shed. It has an unresistable youthfull energy and i still like to put on TLTYF and Shed a few times per year and listen to them front to back. Every Song on those records is fun, which i can't say for a lot of records. I'm glad i discovered them very early and was able to see them on their first European Tours, playing all the songs i love.

I’m surprised it has gotten such a positive view amongst their discography. I remember at the time a lot of us viewed it as a bit of a disappointment and leaning maybe too hard into the shoe gaze side of things whereas they had a perfect balance on Head In The Ceiling fan and Floral Green.
one of my favorite bands of all time. they bridged a gap between older dudes like me that grew up with jawbreaker and lifetime and the kids just getting into punk and hardcore. and they only became more interesting. my personal favorite release is probably spring songs.
for anyone that doesnt know, Bad Seed was a hardcore band with Shane on vocals and Jamie, Figure any title fight fans would enjoy them! They only lasted for like 2 or 3 years i think
this bands progression surpasses so many bands that have come before and after them, each album has their own sound and just keeps getting better and better. Its too bad this band has faded.
Shed, Floral Green, and Hyperview were the best albums. I remember when Floral Green first came out, we played it over and over again. My ex would play Head In The Ceiling Fan every time we'd get stoned. Good times man.
Used to trawl iTunes for new stuff back in the day, and saw a few of their songs and was mildly interested. But then I went to see Touché Amore and Converge play at Chaos in Tejas at Mohawk’s in Austin, I think would have been 2011. They had just released she’d and were touring it. Fell absolutely in love with their music and they were almost instantly my favorite band. Was blessed enough to get to see them several times in Dallas, and I have a signed lithograph insert from the Floral Green record. Went to float the river earlier this summer and let my drunk friend borrow my 10+year old floral green t shirt ( the one with the boys on the front) and my friend promptly lost it to the river 😭. I’m a mega fan and they will always mean so, so much to me.
The first thing I heard from them was the last thing you forget, I listened front to back on my bus ride, then on the way home i did it again. For the past 4 months I literally couldn't stop listening to them, I'm falling in love with this band.
Best band of all time, found them performing in the UK at reading 2011 and been along for the journey ever since! Feel like I saw a reddit thread once where someone had a vague connection to Jamie, same college or something, and apparently the band have played together in private but are just busy living adult lives - fingers crossed for 2023!!
Shed was mixed by Will Yipp...but the producer was Walter from Youth of Today, Gorilla Bisquits, Quicksand and Rival Schools...also, how could you leave out "Like A Ritual" from Floral? It's cool tho. Wonderful work. You have sublime tastes and your channel is excellent.
Thank you for this video! I only recently found them within the last 2 years, and always wondered about their beginnings and the timeline. They instantly became apart of my daily rotation, so I hope they are doing well for themselves.
