The engines is the real marvel about this plane they're barely audible unbelievable for a jet plane this is a great achievement and let you feel more relaxed flying.. hat's off to rolls Royce brand .. great engineering..

It’s so cool to me where the 787 is able to dim their windows, along with other functions. Boeing is doing a great job with technoledgy!! I want to fly this girl anytime soon :D
@@T0MM0-Lds If you read the post properly , it’s comparing the GE90 to these Trents , saying they are impressively quiet although he likes the sound of GE90s , not suggesting that they are GE90s .
I've flown British Airways a couple of times in my life. I'd say decent airline , acceptable food, pretty punctual, nothing overly impressive, but then again i flew Economy:)), but still a decent product. A little bit expensive though. Now compared to Lufthansa i'd say Lufthansa's food is better, service about the same. Your video reminded me of Heathrow back in 2011 and 2012. I trust British Airways in terms of their safety record though. So overall i'd give them a 7.5/10:) Oh i also lived in Jeddah in the 1980's That airport brings back so many memories. Sad to see it replaced. Still remember that control tower, and the King's palace with the green roof.
I got a chance to spot Airforce one from a relatively close distance. And im convinced those engines are what is found on the 787. No way did airforce one have the standard size or issue 747 engines, they dwarfed them in comparison.

wow long takeoff roll, almost a minute, she was either wound down due to noise restrictions, or it was a real hot day..guess if you have 13000 feet, then use it, flight must have been great until you got to Pearson, what a mess that place is terminal 3 , is ok, but still, i fly out of Hamilton now if I can, or fly my self as i'm a ga pilot, but that can get expensive, and weather can fuck you as well.. My Advice, if you go to Europe a lot, avoid Lufthansa, always thought they were great until they left me with 20 to connect a flight, and stuffed us on a 340 like Sardines for the return trip, it was awful.. 7 security checks in Frankfurt to connect flights, was a joke.. stick with BA
Every Time I board a plane from the ground and get off from a bus, I always want to go closer to the engines or jump onto the wings. Idk why but it would seem fun
2:43 Yeah, about those Dreamliner Trent 1000s-maybe there's a bit too much art and not enough engineering at Rolls Royce. Those engines are wearing out prematurely with a number of airlines, forcing emergency maintenance work and replacement leasing with Airbuses. To my knowledge, GE-driven Dreamliners aren't having these engine problems.

When you look at the B1B lancer, Russia 160 blackjack engine s deslgn. TSR2, comes to me. We showed the world that we where on another level the rolls Olympus engines which was so fucking good we put it in concorde. Russia. US put it in millitry with B1B, 160
Actually, if you take the registration of the aircraft - JY-EMB - and run it through planespotters.net, you will find out it is an ERJ-195; a slight upgrade from the ERJ-190. Just FYI for those interested.

Actually, the Trent 1000 for 787-9 is rated at 71,000 lbs. of thrust ... the 76,000 lb. version is for the 787-10.

Looks like a great experience but there is no way I could sit backwards. I think it would trigger my vertigo.
RR engines have a very distinct sound to them, I like them. I like GE, P&W and RR engines, they all rule.
If I ever start an airline, Jeddah will be the only destination served in Saudi Arabia, and only during Hajj.
Most of the times, I think you prefer to sit beside the Engine or the wings side
