- Welcome back to the channel! We dive in from start to finish on imaging the closest nebula cloud complex to earth known as Rho Ophiuchi!
Rho Ophiuchi (ρ Ophiuchi) is a multiple star system located in the constellation Ophiuchus.
The central system of Rho Ophiuchi has an apparent magnitude of 4.63.
It is part of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, which is the closest star-forming region to Earth.
This cloud complex is a relatively small and quiet stellar nursery.
The complex consists of interstellar clouds with different nebulae, including a dark nebula that is centered 1° south of the star.

Looks great ! What would be very helpful is to set up a Vulcan mind meld so that I could become as proficient at the post processing as you are ! haha ;-)...I have a lot of learning to do in this department which is not as easy as it used to be considering I'm twice your age or more. But it's all just for fun with me, so I guess I will take it as it comes. Well done, you made that look easy. Cheers from the high desert in Utah.
Nicely done😊. I guess this is for more advanced Pixinsight users. I find the past a little fast even if I playback. It would have been nice to slowdown the past in order to explain some fonctionalities. But I guess it's just me!
Possible that the ColorMask Mod link does not work anymore?
Also, do you have a link for the Advance Sharpening Script? It's not in my Script, Utilities menu.
I will keep trying with your instructions and thank you very much for your contribution to the astrophoto community!😉
Nicely captured. What is the purpose behind using SCNR on the star image and then inverting and doing it again? Thanks!
Well done and a great final image. That will be one of my targets this summer.
You have a lot of diverse ways of using PI, out of the ordinary, so it would be very helpful if you would slow down and tell us what you're clicking on and what settings to use. You used a lot of scripts that I didn't even know were in PI.
Thanks, I subscribed, and clear skies to you.
I do have a entire Playlist of my PI methods just for that. Including the scripts and where to get them. Many are free too! ruclips.net/p/PLg40f0wuDIz1y8uJ0qHTxfp0SD20zb5vy&si=2WSTufDgNyuF9_9v
A brilliant photo there 👌. Just wondered why you needed to use a counter weight with your AM5 for such a light scope configuration? Keep the great videos coming 😀
I do it for stability wise since it was a little bit more breeze during that time. My land I'd like a wind tunnel sometimes I swear
@@OuttenAstrophotography nice one, that makes sense.
ME TOO!
Amazing!
I'm going to be in bottle 2'ish sky's overlooking a lake to my south. Second year. Last year clouds all week. Going to try again. Trouble is my asiair firmware update messed up my coordinates. I can't figure it out. I have Rokinon 135mm. But 533mc pro. I'm thinking Sigma Art 35.
This is a tough one to process. Thanks for the insight!
Might not be a bad idea to do a complete reinstall on it. I always hate doing firmware updates for the thing might brick.
Good luck on the capture! This weekend I'm going to record a pixinsight workflow video on reflection nebulas using this data to go step by step
can you share the stacked tiff file
Let me convert the file over for yah
