      @@JubyJub Good question. I would only use an international flat rate box if I knew my stuff was going to weigh more than a few pounds but below 20 lbs. You may want to check the links here for your specific needs: www.usps.com/international/priority-mail-international.htm. I think it's possible to print your customs declaration and print the label online, yet the USPS requires you create and login with an account to do that in order to pay online. Yeah, the post offices that I go to or never this nice and I ship things a lot and they're never this full of things on the inside, normally it's totally bare with a few packaging envelopes that aren't the right size no priority boxes or labels out so you have to ask them and then walking up to the counter, they look like they hate you chewing gum like they can't stand your existence and there NEVER this empty they always have a line of angry people because they've been waiting for 20 minutes because there's only one register open 😅 I wish I could get a post office this nice

      Usually most post office locations have boxes you can purchase. However, you may have to buy tape there too to seal your box and package. Another option could be to visit another store (Wal-Mart, etc.) and get a box and packing tape there because it might be cheaper that buying it at the post office.

    • @ESLWithPurpose

      It depends on the size of the box. The USPS does have boxes in their stores you can purchase, however they will not pack them for you or put things in it. You will be responsible for that. You could go to an office supply store like Office Depot or somewhere and buy a larger cardboard box for your needs. It may be cheaper that way.

      I'm not sure about liquids being shipped to India. You can see the country restrictions located on this site: pe.usps.com/text/imm/immctry.htm

    Do I have to use a flat rate envelope or can I use a bubble mailer and write the information on it?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 года назад

      You can use a bubble mailer. They will calculate your shipping cost at the post office.

    What about USPS First Class Mail International? Do you recommend using that for smaller items? I noticed you used priority international. Much cheaper it seems to sent first class intl. Wondering your thoughts?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад +1

      It is cheaper to do First Class Mail International. With priority or flat rate, you get the added benefit of tracking the package though and I think it is covered better.

    I know she said generally 6-10 business days for delivery. But my question is how long did it actually take for your parcel to be handed to your friend?

    Hello! I was wondering, do I need a usps priority mail box specifically? or can I just use a brown box and add postage?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  11 дней назад

      You can use a brown box, but you will have to include the address it is going to and the return address on a USPS shipping label.

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  11 дней назад

      They will charge based on weight and measurement of the box size.

    How many days delivery my boyfriend hi send me package December 5 said only 9 days but until now did not receive package I'm here Hongkong.. Please reply

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 года назад

      Hi Loyl. I do not work for the USPS and all comments here are my opinion only. I do not know why you did not receive the package yet in Hong Kong. Maybe it is stuck in customs? Does Hong Kong charge for you to receive packages? You may want to check rules and regulations here: pe.usps.com/text/imm/fh_024.htm#ep6452422
      It also depends on if he used the USPS or another mail carrier.

    Did u have to provide ID after filling out the customs form?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад +1

      Good question. No, I just had to pay with my credit card when shipping outside of the U.S. You could pay cash too as an option. You do have to write a return address on the form.

    Would they ask for your id or license? And do you need a certain age..?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад +1

      I do not know. According to the USPS, the recipient needs to be 21 years old if a signature is required. I cannot find any information about the sender needing to be a certain age.

    Hello, Is it possible to send the same package internationally but using the first-class package shipping way? Because it said that the first-class shipping is a lot cheaper and will I just ask the usps employee for the shipping options? thanks

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад

      Good question. It might be cheaper to use first class, yet you may want to compare prices, depending on the country: www.usps.com/international/mail-shipping-services.htm#quickcompare

    Thanks for the vid but I think it might be cheaper sending it via the actual postal office & not a 3rd party postal service like in the vid

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад +1

      It is possible, yet an approved USPS location may discount certain items. According to the USPS (about.usps.com/suppliers/becoming/approved-postal-provider-programs.htm), they are incentivized to provide great service.

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  4 года назад +1

      Depending on the location, you are most likely correct.

      You could use your own, yet you will need to fill out all of the information on the customs form, mentioning the value and contents.

      Sorry I missed this question. I think any information you can provide for region, city, location in the native language and in English on the package will help. However, I'm not sure how the mail works in Colombia.
