I tried this weapon today. Not comfortable looking at ammo everytime so we didn’t get long reload. While we have rifle like Soma or Tenet flux which can go brrrrrr all the time.
Honestly, for the pure fact that healing in the current meta is worthless, I'd keep the build as it is. I'd probably swap out rime rounds for prime cryo but that's just me.
It's okay I can say, performs good mostly against sortie level enemies, may a few mins in sp but not as good as acceltra or spirex which this weapon always reminds me of while using
It double dips on both the base damage and elemental damage of the weapon. Generally, you don't need it unless you're going against Steel Path enemies... it's kinda overkill on regular star chart enemies.
As people already said it's because it is more efficient overall. The damage calculation has some steps, first base damage like serration mods affect the weapon damage, then elemental damage mods are calculated on this new value, and then faction mods on the resulting value, after all that comes the critical, multishot and status mechanics to push your damage even further. Another thing to keep in mind is that since primary arcanes were introduced base damage mods became redundant since the arcane and base damage mods are additive, meaning less returns when both are used together.
I just unveiled a basmu riven. Reroll or keep? I'm a little on edge due to the negative reducing statuses to under 1 second. +120.4% critical damage +90.4% status chance +95.8% toxin -88.6% status duration

Def picking it up then, more than just mastery fodder now, I like the way it shoots
If the mag size is bigger maybe. But I'm so annoyed by the small magazine with the long ass reload it's not that worth it anymore

If you release the trigger before magazine empties it reloads so fast. basically like a infinite magazine 🙂

Primed fulmination is a must have on the basmu. It allows you to have infinite healing as long as you keep firing the gun.
Fulmination increases blast radius right? Can you explain how it gives healing?
Fulmination is for pistols mate you mean firestorm and it doesn’t give healing

I feel like the main usage for the alt fire is expending your ammo more quickly for the reload effect.

Reroll it. Until you get a good one. If you are not going for endurance runs you can use that for a corrosive + heat Build until you get a good roll.

It's more powerful then that play around with you'll see so it can do it one shot steel path with expertited suffering gas and Slash on it
